Okay as i saw on VCMI website download section that there was a deb package i liked the idea of having it into linux "for real", but if you're telling me that is not possible, i guess you are the one who knows best about VCMI.

There is no Linux distribution of HC Complete. But VCMI can run on Linux natively, you just need Wine to install original game.

It's not like it's only for HoTA. Finally adding new towns (not just single one) is possible.

I would like someday to see Cove, Forge, Grove, Bastion, Abyss and few others just in one game

Hopefully, one of these days, all teams will work more or less together under the same structure (VCMI).

And I hope that users will have an easy way to customise the game because each person likes different things. For instance, we know that many people don't like Forge or many WOG thinhs or maybe some people want to try some Heroes 5 features (I would like to have a gameplay with initiative in their creatures) and others don't.

Although some features can't be easily customisable (due to the fact that they are hard-coded) other features can be customisable very easily.

Somehow "gray" graphics (less colourful than in HotA), a lot of too contrasted black (see dwellings), reflections in water above the buildings, and so on...

The time has come for first totally NEW,VCMI based mod.

And new feature at the same time. This is... support for new artifacts.

And you can see them working. Philosophers Stone is an artifact that gives hero 10% bonus to Intelligence skill.

I downloaded VCMI extracted it to my heroes folder (Era 2.4). I activate the VCMI, but I don't see cove town at any map or any other innovations. What I am doing worng?

You are using old version. Towns and artifacts are coming with 0.91.

Also, mods are not included in package anyway. For 0.9 only Cove creatures are available.

Modified (Russian) fonts are included in latest Cove package. No idea how do they work, ask Ivan on our board.

We're working on very flexible and easy-to use config system. This includes item identifiers handled by name and not just number.

This means the equivalent of ERM code

That is, creature with such bonus will deal more damage to Enchanters, depending on stack experience.

Also, this system allows cross-referencing between the mods. So you can assemble combo artifact X from parts A, B, C, and D. This artifact gives all Cove creatures hate ability against some Grove creature, all added in different mods.
