ofc I know... in the xml file line 96 ends with
not

(needs capital I....)
but thats not critical...
(cause several lined ends with /items not Items....)

Il try to redownload later

I feel that some of you are not interested in this thread. Show us YOUR stuff, tell us how YOU did it, Take stuff that ive shown you and spruce it up, Lucky_dwarf wants YOU to post some eyecandy. Not yo mama, not yo kitty cat, but YOU!

Today I have a few mini-projects for y'all and a bigger one.

Project Name: Orky shop
Project difficulty: Easy
Total Time: 3 min

Comments: The best part about this project is that the military post still works, so you can pretend its a place to hire mercenaries.

Step 1: Open your map.
Step 2: Take out the following
Dwelling- 1xStronghold Military Post
Monsters- 1xGoblin
Step 3: Place the Military Post and change the cords to:
Z= -4.5
Place your goblin in there by modifying the x and y cords.

Project Name: Woodland portal
Project difficulty: Easy
Total Time: 2 min

Comments: Yes, this might be the shortest project yet, but you can use it as a recruiting portal.
Step 1: Open your map.
Step 2: Take out the following
Dwelling- 1xSylvan Military Post
Step 3: Place the Military Post and change the cords to:
Z= -6

Project Name: Overgrown Mine
Project difficulty: Easy
Total Time: 4-10 min depending how much detail you put in

Comments: In my opinion the abandoned mine looks much less like an abandoned mine and more like a haunted mine, which most mines arent. This will teach you how to make an overgrown looking mine. It will still work like an abandoned mine, it will just look cooler.

Step 1: Open your map.
Step 2: Take out the following
ATO- 1xAbandoned mine
Grass objects: Grass, Rocks, Wheat(it looks like dead weeds from far away
Step 3: Place the mine and other vegetation.

Project Name: Farm
Project difficulty:

Total Time: 20 min

Comments:This Is the longest tutorial ive done so far, those new may need some tries before they get it right. Experts should have no trouble doing this.

Step 1: Open your map.
Step 2: Take out the following
Grass objects: 21xFence, 2xTree, 1xHaystack, 1xBush, 6xCorn, 1xScarcrow, 1xRock, 1xGrass,2xPumkins
Step 3: Place your fence to keep out those nasty hobitses, save 2 of the fences for later.
Step 4: Place your crops, scarecrow, vegetation and rocks
Step 5: Place the farm and watchtower.
Step 6: Take the two fences you saved earlier and place them to make enough space for the bull, change the value of the top fence to .5 to give the bull space.
Step 7: Using Fiurs tutorial we will extract a bull, an archer, and a peasant.

For the first two, look at
Model location: Creatures-Haven
Animation location: Creatures-Haven
There should be Peasant and archer around there

For the bull look at
Model location: Characters-Heroes-H5A2-KujinsBull
Animation location: Characters-Heroes-H5A2-KujinsBull-arena

Step 8: Paint the road then use the dig tool to make it look like its been walked on for years.
Step 9: Place the archer on the watchtower with an elevation of 8.3
Step 10: Place the peasant by his house, making it look like hes just woken up.

No, I am interested in this thread, and I dolove your work. If can, I look every day at Heroes Community to see if you posted your next project.
The last one is very interesting for me, because of the bull you placed there. Do you know if this is possible for the elephants of the wizards, too ?

And the reason why I'm not posting images is that I'm working on my own map right now.

Project Name: Witch Burning
Project difficulty:

Total Time: Days
If i post it here it will stretch
http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k347/cotloner/eyecandypic10.jpg
Comments:This project will eat away at your time, it will baffle the noobs and challenge the leet. Seeing as this is a very difficult project I wont go into un-necessary details

Step 1: Open your map.
Step 2: Take out the following
ATO- 1x Archers tower
Grass objects: Fences, Corn, Scarcrows, Pumkins
Step 3: Place your fence, For some sections of fence I used x= .5 y=.5, play around until you have the right back yard. There will be a section on making much more interesting farms tomorrow.
Step 4: Place your crops, scarecrow, vegetation etc.
Step 5: Place the farms.
OPTIONAL Step 6: Using Fiurs tutorial we will extract a bull, some archers, red and blue peasants, alaric, a red priest, and Lazlo.

Crosbowmen
Model location: Characters-Creatures-Renegades-Marksman
Animation location: Creatures-Haven-Marksman-arena.

Blue Peasant
Model location: Creatures-Haven-Peasant
Animation location: Creatures-Haven-Peasant-arena

Bull
Model location: Characters-Heroes-H5A2-KujinsBull
Animation location: Characters-Heroes-H5A2-KujinsBull-arena

Red priest

Animation location: Characters-Creatures-Renegades-Swordsman

Red peasant
Model location: Characters-Creatures-Renegades-Peasant
Animation location: Characters-Creatures-Renegades-Peasant-arena

Step 7: To make the stage simply take out an archers tower and change elevation to -8 and y value to .4

If you want you can extract the model its at:
Buildings-Dwelings-Haven-archers_tower

Step 8: To place the wood go to:

Effects-Towns-Rampart_HighCabinsWood

Place it on the stage with an elevation of -2.

Step 9: To make fire, make a new object but instead of clicking the model button scroll upwards and youll find a tab named effects and find elven fire, from there change the elevation to -2 and voila! You have your very own witch burning.

Great thread! We need more H5 eye-candy.

I only play 2 different maps, which are both made by Fiur (Dwarven Hill and Forgotten Kingdom) and I love them because they are so beautiful and have so much detail.

Could I ask you to give a download link or send them to me? I think I have Master Of Disguise and think I enjoyed that one also, but don't think I have the others.

But must also admit I like the structure of those maps, being 1 vs. 1 that will play respectively shorter and longer games - suites my needs pretty good.

Project Name: Farms- adding extra objects to your farm.
Project difficulty: Moderate
Total Time: 2-5 minutes to add the extra objects to your farm.

Comments: Apart from pumpkins, wheat and sunflowers there aint much else to put in a farm, Right? WRONG!

Step 1: Open your map.
Step 2: Take out the following
Dwelings- 3x Farm
Grass objects- Fences, Corn, Scarcrows, Pumkins,Sunflower
Step 3: Place your fence, For some sections of fence I used x= .5 y=.5, play around until you have the right back yard.
Step 4: Place your crops, scarecrow, vegetation etc.
Step 5: Place the farms.
Step 6: Extract the beehive using fiurs tutorial. You will find it at:
\Effects\Spells\SummonHive\Attack\Beehive_Root

You can make the beehive any size you want, I made mine 130 and added a fence around it.
Step 7: Next we get out some chickens. To do this, create a new object and open(click the three dots) it. Instead of going to models look for a tab called effects. Open it and look for:
Effects\_(Effect)\Buildings\PeasantHut

Step 8: Add the bull

Model location: Characters-Heroes-H5A2-KujinsBull
Animation location: Characters-Heroes-H5A2-KujinsBull-arena

Step 9: To make up for the fact that I got no more ideas, take out a scarecrow and supersize it.
Then get out Flame effect from the subtera tab. Edit the values until you get a huge burning scarcrow.

Due to a lack of posting im adding the next project to the same post.

Project Name: Deadly Trap
Project difficulty: Moderate
Total Time: 10 minutes

Comments: Oh Noes! Our dashing hero is trapped in a deadly trap set up by the dastardly clever Lucky_Dwarf, He will now show you how to build another trap similar to this one to catch your own arch enemy.

Step 1: Open your map.
Step 2: Take out the following
ATO- 8xGarrison_Dwarven_Wall
Fiur objects(objects that need extracting)- 1xZehir, 10xFountain of Youth Water Effect, 1xMermaid Water effect
Step 3: Place your walls. In each pair One of the two vertical walls need x values at .5 and only one needs the y value changed to .3
In the horizontal ones in each pair one of the two horizontal walls need .7 at the x value.
Step 4: Use the river tool to make a nice even watery floor. Make sure you can still see the floor, then paint it to dwarf interior.
Step 5: Extract the water effects using fiurs tutorial. Create your new object and look for Effects then look at Water, Extract the fountain of youth effect and the mermaid water effect.
Step 6: Extract Zehir:

Model location: Characters\Heroes\H5A2\Zephir_Unmounted
Animation location: Characters\Heroes\H5A2\Zephir_Unmounted-arena

Step 7: Change his x-value to .5 and place him in the center, then change his z value to -.65

There you have it, now go out and cause some evil with this bad baby

sorry, no it works only for barbarians. looks like fiur gave you an alternative

Right, next project!

Project Name: Fortification, Ballista
Project difficulty: Moderate
Total Time: 10 minutes

Comments: The enemy picked the wrong day to assault the dwarves! This bad boy's gonna tear right through those nasty bugers.

Step 1: Open your map.
Step 2: Take out the following
Fiur objects(objects that need extracting)- 1xRolf, 1xFire ballistas, 5xJavelins, 1xChest.
Step 3: Using the bulk tool we will make a platform off which the ballista is going to be located on.
Step 4: This step varies depending on where the action takes place. In this step youd place all your vegetation, fences and stuff, but since mine is in a dwarf made place, there aint much cover to give.
Step 5: Extract the following:

Ballista:

Model location: Creatures-WarMachines-Ballista.(Model)
Animation location: Creatures-WarMachines-Ballista_Wildfire.(AnimSet)

Rolf:

Model location: Characters-Heroes-DS-Rolf_DS_U
Animation location: Characters-Heroes-DS-Rolf_DS_U-arena

Spears:

Model location: Creatures-WarProdgy-BallistaArrow.(Model)

Chest:

Model location: TerrainObjects-Water-SeaChest.(Model)

Step 5:Change the ballistas y value to .5, for Rolf, change the x value to .5
The chest is fine as it is and you can experiment with the spears yourself.

Fiur, you did that with some kind of modding, didn't you ? Because you used a path I can't identify, so I can't copy it on another map either. But it's a great work anyway
I'm wondering if you've made a tutorial of that, I mean modding a Map where the Mod-File is included in the Map-File, because with my knowledge I can't do that, I think...

Well, and also, I think that now, I checked that HC-Messenger thing. Sry, but I'm pretty new at this site.

@lucky Dwarf: I never want to meet that dwarf in a battle
He needs a counterpart, I think, maybe Wulfstan with Lava Dragons or someone else ^^

It's not difficult - you just open the contents of the Mod file, extract them to some folder or your desktop and then add them to your map's archive. It's all done using WinRar.
