WoG @ Wikipedia
People, the WoG article at wikipedia has been flagged for deletion. Why? For the following concern, and I quote, "Non-notable fan-game".
What?!? "Non-notable?"
Will someone who has an interest in editing Wikipedia articles go set them straight?

If anyone remembers Russ, I'm trying to talk him into translating it. He's reluctant but I'm applying peer pressure.

I will try.
Heroes of Might and Magic 3.5: In the Wake of Gods (often called In the Wake of Gods or Wake of Gods, WoG for short) - unnoficial, non-commercial add-on to computer game Heroes of Might & Magic... WHAT? Where is the dictionary?
I give up

I create and edit articles there now and then so I'll give it a shot. The problem is that the guy who flagged it for deletion is right. There's no "outside publications" who've reviewed it mentioned there, so it's no use to them - it's what they call "fancruft". Plus, the article itself is really horrible - to Wikipedia, the sentence "and the list goes on..." in an article is the same thing as a mass of swearwords to a prude.
Unfortunately, fan communities mobbing Wikipedia never works. We can be as outraged as we like but it won't stop them.
All I'd need is one or two (non-fan) WoG articles or reviews from IGN, GameSpot or any "trusted site" to prove that the article is worth the space it takes up. Forums will not do. If you, Corribus or anyone, can find... let's say three publications like that within the next few days, I'll be able to save it.

Well maybe you're right, maybe it's not notable. If the "official site" at CH was better, that would probably help.

Merging with Heroes III is probably the best solution we can get. It's nothing to be worked up about - only one of Starcraft's three expansions has its own article.

What are you implying, that Starcraft is better than H3?

Of course Starcraft is better. By better I mean fixed multiplayer. If WoG worked MP then I guess there would be no more any forum for HoMM3 here, and HoMM5 would have awful sales.
