That sounds like the definition of paranoia.

I am a pretty openminded person, who thinks people should be allowed to believe whatever they wish as long as it doesn't hurt others (or force others to believe).  Even I am a bit ... sceptical of Scientology however.  (Believe me, that is saying quite a bit)

Frankly I think it is one of the best cons I've ever heard of, and one of the most successful.  However, to each their own I say.  It can't be any worse the the idea of 'tithing'.

Let's ban all Tom Cruise movies because he might be blinking morse code with his eyelids sending out evil messages to brainwash our children.

Better safe than sorry. Sometimes that's true, but you have to draw the line somewhere. And yea, it gets to a point when it's downright paranoia.

*Sigh* If people have no points they start getting polemic. As far as I know Tom Cruise had a couple of problems at some time in the US to even get hired for a movie because he was with Scientology.

As far as I know, for Windows XP there are still delivered SECURITY patches to fill security gaps - in terms of computer security "paranoia" isn't exactly the term that people use when worrying. At the time people still had just suffered heart-attacks from being afraid of the millennium bug and other stuff.

And of course the US are a country that has never been paranoid about anything, right?

What?  Who told you we are paranoid?  Your out to get us arn't you?  Who put you up to it?  It was THEM wasn't it!?

Hehe sorry, had to do that.

Yeah there is paranoia in every country.  Just because you are paranoid, however, doesn't mean somebody is not out to get you.
