Could anybody help me?
I tried to install the wog to my HOMM3 with the following parameters:
- I have HOMM3 complete edition
- I set the settings of the language to English / UK
- Op. system: WinXP sp3
I downloaded the WOG 3.58f version, unpacked to its folder. I tried to install it but nothing happens when I click on the install.exe. Nor message warning neither aborting the installation process. After this I tried to install from UPGRADE folder and also tried to install with language settings to English / USA, but it didn't cause any difference.
Have anybody met this problem? Could anybody suggest any solution?

hi, im new here , im having a lot of problems trying to play wog online with a friend, we use hamachi, I opened a lot of ports and configured things like 10000 times, when we finally made it work, when we play, before day 1 ends he always crashes, or I, suddenly "player has left the game"... is there any way to play WOG online using hamachi, ranger, gamespy, tcp/ip or any other way ? in gameranger the game doesnt exist, in gamespy neither... using hamachi we get that "error" instant discs :S...
any help ? a list with ports to be opened or any tip ? or tutorial

How and especially where does one install/extract the new battlefields archive (bf1.rar, first post).
I have installed the script update...
So I presume it will have to go into Data\s directory, is it not?

Just to inform you all, you will want to make a different folder for the original H3 and WoG. If you install WoG into your original folder it will modify some of the original game too.
For example, golems will be hit with death riple.

to the update directory, then run H3wUpd.exe

hello guys,
i got stuck at installing, it gives me that very important notification, although i did set systeam lang & loc to english/usa. Im using win7 32bit and got heroes 3 complete
there is a pic bout my settings

Are you installing with compatibility mode?

Are you installing with compatibility mode?
it says now that cant find .wog files even though i put them to the update folder -.-"

The installation procedure is infuriatingly difficult.
GoG.com just recently released a patch for H3 (what changes were made, I have no idea), but I do know that when I installed it, it reverted my entire H3 directory back to "factory default" which broke my WoG install.
Now I can't even re-install WoG at all.
I click on "install", it warns me about the usual "English/Russian language only!" stuff but then immediately closes. I've tried the system language/country fix and it doesn't help.
Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (Norwegian).

Install not the original WoG, but the one from ERA II thread: http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=37208 (Link to setup)
Also it may behave incorrectly if you installed the game in Program Files folder

My aVast anti-virus blocked a hacktool about 10 minutes into downloading that .exe file. Care to explain?

I don't have any problems loading it, maybe your anti virus blocked the link. You may try the last era which was uploaded yesterday, not yet official.
ERA 2.46
You can trust those links, there is no virus inside, they are available for all community.

Problem finally solved. My copy is functional once again.
Avast kept reporting (what I'm considering) false positives as follows:
DEFka v1.0 -> Win32:HackTool-EM [PUP]
Plugin Manager -> Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]
Had to disable my web shield, otherwise it kept blocking 1 file which is what stalled the download at 99%. I'm assuming this is standard fare?

LOL ) DEFka is compiled PHP engine + script.
Mod Manager is compiled AutoIt3 engine + script (open sourced).
It means that heuristics is set to high enough, so any compiled scripts with engines will be treated as viruses. That's because antiviruses generally cannot analyse such files.
