Hey! I was going to post this first like I did for the WotLK Expansion pack. Damn you Xerox!

Nah, its not like they are going to destroy the old world.
They are however destroying some towns and building new towns etc. Changing some terrain etc. The wast majority of all zones doesnt change a lot.
These are the zones that change the most:
* Darkshore gets a bit flooded and there are some tornados there etc. The Nelf town gets moved north. Its possible that the Horde will have some towns here.
* Barrens is splitted with a lava rift. Northern Barrens is lush. If you do Walling Caverns right now you will get the backstory behind that. Southern Barrens is a high level zone and there is probably a lot of lava and stuff there.
* Desolace is no longer desolate. It has grass and lakes and forests everywhere. Its like Mulgore + Ashenvale.
* Thousand Needles is flooded, we dont know for sure.
* Stonetalon has more lava in it. Some towns have been destroyed etc. The western part of the zone is now accessible. Stonetalon now has a shoreline.
* Azshara. The Goblins are twisting the region around.
* Ashenvale. Basically the Horde has cut down 50% of the zone so the Nelfs are pissed off.
* Wetlands. Dont know yet but its going to be a bit flooded atleast.
* EPL. Dont know but I think that the Forsaken will conver control of the Scourge there and that the land will heal a bit.
* Stranglethorn Vale. Might be a bit flooded and might be a swamp in some parts. We dont know.
* Blasted Lands. We dont know. The region probably exploded...
What I dont like with Cataclysm is that they for some reason scrapped Nazjatar for Vashj'ar and that you basically MUST have a guild for all the benefits. Otherwise you will have a huge disadvantage.

I wonder if Xerox would attempt to break my face if I tried to suggest that Blizzard, in blasting their world halfway to hell, are ripping off Heroes IV's premise.
Well, I'm going to do it regardless, mostly for the laughs.

Yeah. Because any apocalyptic event must be ripped off from H4 even if I know you were sarcastic.
Anyway. You know Goblins. They dont csre about nature at all. They just want cash and rescourses. So thats why I think Azshara will be changed a bit.
Its already been confirmed that they create a quarry out of a huge mountain >.>
Nazjatar was supposed to be the Naga capital. For some reason, they decided to make a new city for the Naga though. A city called Vashj'ar when they could just have used Nazjatar instead.
There where already some hints saying that Nazjatar was a hundred miles wide... but they just "forgot" about Nazjatar.
Also I find it weird that the troll island Zandalar suddenly disappeared when the Zandali trolls survived the Sundering, which was far worse then the Cataclysm, with their magical mega-bubble shield barrier thing.

There are going to be 3 new BGs btw.
Basically, Cataclysm is the result of the WoW players wishes.
Since the Burning Crusade, people have complained about that they cant use flying mounts in Azeroth and that the old world is not getting upgraded and that the lvl 1-60 experience is repetive and boring.
Now they get a revamped level 1-60 experience and are able to fly everywhere etc. Plus they get classic heroics.
Since BC people have wanted to play Heroic Deadmines and even get Classic servers aswell as more PvP focus.
Now they get that. 3 New BGs. Many more arenas and several Wintergrasp-like areas.
