Uhm since Xerdux is kind of "trashed", I don't think this would count as a double post.

Some new info (including WotLK spoilers):

* Lorewise WotLK is called the War of the Frozen Wastes.

* Arthas dies in Icecrown Citadel but Bolvar Fordragon takes up the Helm of Domination to become the new Lich King. The helm turns red as Bolvar had been incinerated by Red Dragonfire. It is hinted that the spirits of Terenas II and Uther is an illusion created by Ner'zhul, who once again will take over the Scourge in a future Warcraft title.

* Yes. Garrosh WILL become the new Warchief of the Horde. He throws out the Trolls, Forsaken and Blood Elves from the center of Orgrimmar as they are considered to weak to defend the city.
Thrall becomes the leader of the Earthen Ring instead (probably).

* In Cataclysm, atleast two superweapons will appear. A titan one kept within Uldum. Probably related to Algalon in Ulduar and Keeper Tyr. And a weapon kept by Neptulon, probably a trident that is used to control the seas.

* Goblins start in Undermine as some kind of businessman. You are a hero from the start. When the volcano Kajaro erupts, you are forced to flee from the island of Kezan. But you are tricked and taken on a slave ship. You and several other Goblin strand on the Lost Isles. The Lost Isles might be the old Darkspear Isles from Warcraft 3.

* Worgen start during the Third War when the Scourge is one the move. The Archmage and patron of Gilneas, Arugal, summons Worgen from another time (pre-sundering?) to fight the Scourge but the Worgen spread a disease. Gilneas builds a wall to protect themselves from the Scourge but the Worgen curse bypasses it.
The inhabitants of Gilneas turn into feral worgen, resulting in a civil war. You start in this civil war as the feral worgen attack the humans in Gilneas city. You and your friend Crawley hid within the cities cathedral but you and Crawley are forced to flee into the woods. There you turn into a worgen and Crawley shoots and captures you. The Gilnean alchemists have found a cure so that some Worgen dont go feral anymore but are unable to stay human at high levels of rage or stress.

* The Twilighrs Hammer are led by the Ogre-magi Cho'gall who channeled the dead Old God C'thuns power into himself. He leads them in Grim Batol.

* Several changes in the world are reflected by the actions we do now in quests etc. Pretty much all quests will change except those in Northrend and Outland.

* Ashenvale is almost completly captured by the Horde. Astraanar is under constant siege and atleast half the forest has been cut down.

* WoW copied Dragon Age and Gilneans use war-dogs.

* Cataclysm is estimated to be about this year.

My zerg carpace has evolved to max level now. Before I was an Ultralisk, now I am an Omegalisk (google it).

I'd like to see your sources on this info Xerox. Because some of the things you say seem rather strange. And there are several things that can be said to the contrary.

First of all, Cho'Gall cannot lead the Twilight's Hammer. He is dead, he was killed by Medan, the new Guardian and has been buried under the ruins of Ahn'Qiraj. This happens in the World of Warcraft Comic, which is considered Cannon and this took place near the begining of the Wrath of the Lich King.

Second I find it verry unlikely that Garrosh will become the new Warchief. According to Blizzards official site, Thrall is still the Warchief and the vast majority of Orcs still back him. I've seen this info surface before, but this came from a completly unfounded forum post on an UK magazine's website.
Whereas Garrosh is said to take a more hands-on approach in the leadership of the Horde and that he has a bone to pick with Thrall. But nothing more than that.

Cho'gall is not dead... if you read the last issue he kind of rises up from the ruins.

According to Blizzard, Garrosh will become the new warchief. It has been confirmed by them in their very own WoW Magazine.

Thrall will probably end up in the Shaman comic and become the leader of the Earthen Ring there.

Everything I say is a 100% confirmed (except when I write "maybe" and "probably" etc).

edit: Icecrown Citadel is not the final raid in Cataclysm. Today/yesterday Blizzard announched that in patch 3.3.5, the Twilight dragonblight sent out by Deathwing has invaded the Ruby Sanctum of the Chamber of Aspects. It contains one main boss, and three mini-bosses. There is a hard-mode.
The Lich King will still be the hardest boss currently in-game.

In addition, in the pre-Cataclysm event the Trolls will reclaim the Echo isles, The Twilights Hammer will invade and summon portals to the Elemental Planes, The Gnomes will retake Gnomeregan together with the players and Anduin will have grown up to be a man and not a 6 year old kid.

The Cataclysm event seems awesome but can it overthrow the Zombie Invasion WotLK had? Where the plague spread day by day, first there were just rats running around some newly shipped crates in the major cities and in the last days the whole server had been zombiefied.
I think it can with the Trolls and Gnomes getting their won captial cities etc.

Stay tuned.

The Cata pre-patch seems to be great.
And here is evidence Cho'gall is alive: http://db.mmo-champion.com/q/25425/warn-king-wrynn/

You retake the Echo Isles from Zalanze and build the city there and a Doomsday Cult appears in Orgrimmar. Together with Vol'jin you fly around the Echo Isles and from the files, you throw frogs at them.
Also the Troll Druid backstory will be explained here.
Stormwind is attacked once again by the Twilights Hammer and the mutated Ogre Magi Cho'gall.
Apparently, the Twilights Hammer infiltrate Stormwind and puts up devices that summon Elementals from the Elemental Planes around the city. Apparently you disguise yourself as a member of the Cult and they order you to place these devices in the populated areas of Stormwind. Judging by her name, Sylandra, I wouldnt be suprised if your overseer here was a Black dragon.
You set up warning posters in Stormwind.

Basically quests tells you that the world is ending.
You also recruit people in Elwynn Forest to the Twilights Hammer. You go to Westbrook Garrison and Goldshire etc to convert people.
Horde has the exact same quests but with a Doomsday Cult and they visit Razor Hill and the Zeppelin towers etc.

Through a huge event and quests you help the Gnome King retake Gnomeregan. You join the Gnomish Army.
And test out the Spider-Tanks. Screw you World of Tanks, we got gnomish Spider-Tanks with laser beams!
You also perform speeches through a playback disc to let people know that Gnomeregan shall be retaken!
Of course the Gnome king doesnt write the speech himself, but the ghost writer doesnt think the draft is good so you have to test it out on people. Gnomes are awesome. The quests in the database says we use their War Machines to break into Gnomeregan. You motivate a "few good gnomes" across the zone. With a motivating machine of course. You get a Flying machine to cleanse the vents outside Gnomeregan so the little gnomes dont get all dizzy by the strong radiation. Lol one of the quests says training in the gnome militia is very hard. And then your training consits of roaring, dancing and cheering.

It really shows that Blizzard has taken quests to the next level and not kill 10 boars anymore.

edit: My guild just killed Arthas on 10-man. ^^

Hey Xerox, just wondering if you play any other MMO -- otherwise how can you always say "WoW is best"?

Tbh Runes of Magic is pretty crap, and it's supposed to be a WoW-clone (but free to play, of course with a cash shop), so what does that make of WoW?

What do you mean "always say WoW is best?"
Define. Best in what? Best MMO? Best game?
I think it's the best game of all time and thats a personal opinion that I have. I think that because I have spent more time with WoW then any other game even though I usually only log in during raids 3-5 times a week these days.
Now I long for Cataclysm which is basically WoW 2 and will change a lot. I'm so excited and no, I dont get money for sponsoring WoW. xD

Blizard will also improve starting zones as 70% of all trial accounts don't make it past level 10.

I have not played Runes of Magic and but I am pretty sure WoW has a much better and smoother gameplay then that.
It's a free MMO. WoW costs 2-3 McDonalds meals or some beers a month. Blizzard has improved WoW a lot with the money they have gained from WoW and with WoWs money they have been able to develop Diablo 3, SC2 and an unannounched MMO at the same time.

edit: The Friends & Family alpha is about to get leaked...
Expect some big screenshots and new info from Cataclysm very soon.

There is A LOT of info getting leaked now as the alpha client is downloadable and during the weekend I will update the main post in this thread with lots of new info and models etc.

* Deathwings model.
* Neptulons model.
* Several new creatures such as Whales, Snails, Sharks, Deep-Sea Murloc, Aquatic Faceless Ones, Underwater Goblins, "Earth gnomes", Fire worms etc.
* Screenshots of changes in the changed zones such as parts of the Blasted Lands becoming fertile, Thousand Needles getting flooded, The Barrens split in two, Azshara reshaped into looking like the Horde symbol, Ashenvale getting occupied by the Horde and much more.
* Screenshots of the new zones such as the world tree Nordrassil on Mount Hyjal, the underwater zone of Vashj'ir and the gothic land of the Worgen - Gilneas.
* Screenshots of the new updated capital cities such as the new Stormwind which now has its own "graveyard park". Speaking of parks, the entire Park District was destroyed by the Cataclysm and dragon claw marks can be seen on Stormwinds front gate. The Stormwind Keep has been completly remade and is no longer an illusion.
Orgrimmar looks awesome and they are reinforcing it with the iron they got from Northrend. Trolls, Goblins and Tauren have their own little slums in the city. You can now walk upon orgrimmars walls and ramparts.

And much more.

edit: Elune, I need to rezise those pictures before posting them here. O.o

Since I posted this thread way back when I was on Xerdux, I will update it here.

Cataclysm
IN Wrath of the Lich King, we returned from Outland to finally put an end to Arthas reign and the Scourge. The King of Stormwind also returns from years of captivity by an underground Arena group known as the Crimson Ring.

The Alliance and the Horde worked together to reach Icecrown but during the assault of the first gate to Icecrown - Angrathar the Wrathgate - they were both betrayed...
For years the forsakens Royal Apothecary Society had developed a plague that would not only kill the dead, but also the living. At the Wrathgate the Horde - led by the young Dranosh Saurfang - and the Alliance by the renowned Bolvar Fordragon (ex-regent of Stormwind). But Dranosh Saurfang was foolish and impatient, when the Lich King showed up he charged at him but was only impaled by the cursed blade Frostmourne. Frostmourne stole his soul.
Even though he died, things looked good. Untill Putress striked. Plague barrels rained down upon Horde, Alliance and Scourge forces. In a matter of minutes, it killed everyone. Bolvar Fordragon too. The Lich King retreated back to his citadel and some time later, Red dragons incinerated the zone to ensure that there would not be any undead being raised. However, the Scourge had managed to snatch the scorched Bolvars body for themselves...

The Wrathgate event triggered a new hatred between the Horde and the Alliance. King Varian Wrynn of Stormwind said that "At the Wrathgate, your Horde killed more of our men than the Scourge."
The Forsakens capital, the Undercity, had also been captured by the betrayer and dreadlord Varimthas. But the Horde quickly striked and began to retake the city in a great battle.
The Alliance were also there, striking the Undercity from the Sewers. The Alliance killed Grand Apothecary Putress and the Horde killed Varimthas, who was attempting to open demon portals and start a new demonic invasion to Azeroth. But right as the Horde had defeated Varimthas, the Horde forces heard horns of Stormwind.
King Varian Wrynn and Lady Jaina Proudmoore rode in to the Royal room in the Undercity. There Varian Wrynn declared war upon the Horde but before they could both fight, Jaina froze everybody said sorry to Thrall and teleported the Alliance forces away to prevent a fight.

After the Wrathgate, the Horde and the Alliance both realized that they would never get a foothold inside Icecrown. Instead they sent two great gunships - Orgrim's Hammer and the Skybreaker - inside Icecrown.
In Icecrown, Tirion Fordring and the neutral Argent Crusade had began to set up a camp in northern Icecrown which would train elite soldiers to fight the Scourge inside the Icecrown Citadel.
In the meantime, something was going on in the nearby Storm Peaks.

In the Storm Peaks, the Titan vault of Ulduar had been opened and there was an evil prescense within. This evil was identified as the Old God Yogg-Saron. Previously people had thought that Ulduar was a treasure vault or a laboratory but instead it was a prison...
Yogg-Saron had been released and mind controlled the Titan forces within. But soldiers of the Horde and the Alliance freed the Keepers of Ulduar and put (what seems like) an end to Yogg-Saron.

The time was near to strike at Icecrown Citadel.
The Argent Crusade had successfully built the Argent Colosseum and champions trained within. But during the training, the Lich King himself entered the Colosseum. He shattered the floor of the colosseum and champions fell down deep underground. Apparently, the Nerubians empire stretched all the way up to northern Icecrown. There they encountered and killed a reraised Anub'arak.

The Argent Crusade and the Death Knights of the Ebon Blade formed an orginisation known as the Ashen Verdict to strike at Icecrown Citadel. During the assault, the Skybreaker and the Orgim's Hammer battled and it was revealed that Dranosh Saurfang - whos soul was stolen by the Lich King at the Wrathgate - had been turned into a Death knight. After defeating him, the Champions killed the Lich Kings top lietuants. But there were no signs of Bolvar Fordragon.
The time came to put an end to the Lich King upon the Frozen Throne. Above the throne, Bolvar was chained. His skin was immolated and fire burned through his eyes. He had been saved - and cursed - by the Red dragons fire.
The fight was hard but eventually and the Lich King seemed to broke when Tirion finally gave one final prayer to the Light and shattered Frostmourne - releasing a thousand souls. The thousands of souls killed the Lich King and among them was his father, King Terenas the Second. But they all knew that the Scourge had already won. Because there must always be - a Lich King.
Tirion was ready to put on the Helm of Domination but was stopped by Bolvar. Tirion was suprised. Bolvar said that he would be the "Warden of the Damned" and put on the helmet. Tirion didn't agree but eventually Bolvar convinced him. Tirion watched in horror as Bolvar Fordragon sat on the Frozen Throne and put on the Helm of Domination. In a flash of red light, the helmet suddenly turned red instead of blue and Bolvars eyes flared with cursed fire. Bolvar told Tirion to not tell anyone of what happened on the Frozen Throne - that he would only tell that the Lich King was dead to the rest of Azeroth. And with that, the throne froze over once again and the Scourge began its hibernation.

Shortly after the Lich Kings defeat, strange cultists began to appear in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. They spoke of doom and a near apocalypse that was coming. Only those that joined their cult would become saved by the elements. Fear and chaos spread through Orgrimmar and Stormwind and it was found out that the occult Twilight's Hammer had returned and predicted a cataclyst which would change Azeroth forever.
At the same time, the Gnomes managed to finally retake parts of Gnomeregan and the Trolls the Echo Isles.
And in Northrend, the Red dragons Ruby Sanctum had been invaded by of all forces the Black dragonflight. But friends of the Red flight were quick to put an end to them though their leader - Hallion - spoke of the Destroyers return.
And they were right.

Deathwing the Destroyer had for long been resting within the Elemental Plane of Earth, Deepholm. With the barriers between Azeroth and the Elemental Plane weakened through the previous war against Malygos (the magic dragon aspect), Deathwing bursted out of the Elemental Plane in such a force that the Cataclysm happened.
He shattered the barriers completly between the two realms and chaos and catastrophe struck Azeroth. Lands were destroyed, separated and submerged while new land rose up from the sea and in some parts life began to flourish. There would be no peace for the Azerothians, for at the same time as Deathwing had returned they were also fighting each other.

The Shaman organisation known as the Earthen Ring told Thrall that he was needed in the Earthen Ring to help repair the world from the Cataclysm. Thrall agreed and stepped down as Warchief of the Horde. Instead he put the young warmonger Garrosh Hellscream as Warlord of the Horde in order to test him. Garrosh had for long wanted leadership within the Horde. But Garrosh was not liked. Sylvanas ignored his warnings to use Plague weapons, he was suspected to be involved in Cairne Bloodhoofs sudden death and Vol'jin did not like the new aggressive nature of the Horde. The Trolls were kicked out of Orgrimmar and started living in the Echo Isles. Their leader Vol'jin feared that the Trolls might need to leave the Horde and threatened to kill Garrosh.
As wrotten, Cairne Bloodhoof was dead. Magatha Grimtotem had poisoned him. For this, all Grimtotem tauren were exiled from the Tauren and from the Horde. Cairnes son, Baine, was put in charge of the Tauren. He suspected that Garrosh was involved in his fathers death. The Horde was falling apart.
In Lordaeron, the Cataclysm had shattered the strong Greymane Wall that protected the human nation of Gilneas. The Forsaken attacked Gilneas only to find that the nation was no longer human - but filled with werewolves called Worgen. The Horde had ordered them to attack Gilneas as the Horde wanted a port on the strategic peninsula.

Thrall was on a mission to assist islanders in the Great Sea that had been struck by the Cataclysm and the rage of the Maelstrom. But Thrall was captued by the agent-organisation known as the SI7 (Stormwind Intelligence) disguised as Theramore marines. Eventually he was suprisngly saved by Goblins, who were wrecked upon the Lost Isles. Thrall helped the Goblins and sent them to join the Horde. Later Thrall contiuned to help the Earthen Ring.

With Garrosh as the leader of the Horde, it was the perfect time for the Alliance to strike. Jaina Proudmoore left Theramore to revive the Guardians of Tirisfal. Theramore was reinforced and used as a staging point of the Alliance invasion on Kalimdor. At the same time, the Night elves could barely defend themselves against the Horde cutting down their forests and the devastation caused by the Cataclysm.

Cataclysm Changes

* On alpha, level cap is 82 atm.
* There is an item lvl 300 sword from Vash'ir (entry zone). Better than heroic LK weapons.
* Weapon skills are a thing of the past.
* The game is still less complete than you might think.
* Garrosh seems to have matured and seems like a good leader of the Horde. But many still dislike him and the Horde is falling apart.
* It seems like Grimtotem assassins are allied with the Alliance.
* Regarding the Stone circles in Org and SW, a blue said this.
"The cirlce of stones North of Stormwind Keep will be our Earthen Eing teleports to the 5 new Cataclysm 80-85 zones. You will a similar circle in the upper area of Orgrimmar.
Players will need to travel to these new zones via new questlines and normal travel first. Once there, players can unlock these portals and then use them from then on."

Hyjal
Mount Hyjal is opened as level 78-82 zone in Cataclysm. Ragnaros and the Fire elementals have attacked Mount Hyjal and attempt to incinerate the zone and burn the world tree Nordrassil. The zone is heavily phased so the terrain will change as you help defend Mount Hyjal. Many heroes help you such as Mal'furion Stormrage, Hamuul Runetotem, Cenarius, Ysera and even Jarod Shadowsong.
* Yseras eyes are open!!! QQ!
* Deathwing appears at the Throne of Flames.
* Fandral Staghelm is imprisoned in the Hyjal Barrow Dens by the Wardens. The Twilight's Hammer wants to free him.
* There is a really feral Druid of the Talon! Like the WC3 nelfs.
* You save bear cubs from a tree.
* There are choices, choices in dialogue and wherever to kill or not to kill a prisoner etc.
* You fight Ragnaros.
* You pop in to the Firelands.
* Cenarius, Ysera, Mal'furion, Jarod and Hamuul are all characters that help you in the zone. Some against Ragnaros himself.

Sunken City of Vashj'ir
Vashj'ir is the second zone lvl 78-82 zone in Cataclysm.
It is 99% underwater. Vashj'ir was once the birth city of Lady Vashj. The Naga are fighting the Kvaldir from Northrend here and there is a vortex that leads to the Elemental Plane of Water where Neptulon resides. The Naga are plotting something horrible and there are three "Old God"-like structures that serve as prisons. There will be submarines and aquatic mounts (Mantas) in this zone.
* To get to Vash'ir as Alliance, you need to accept a quest called "Call of Duty" in the Stormwind Harbour.
* For Horde, you take the quest outside Orgrimmar and with boat in Bladefist Bay go to Vashj'ir. Something happens and you are rescued by a Shaman.
* Vashj'r is located about 1 min west of Dun Morogh with an epic flying mount.
* Harrison Ford returns once again.
* You save drowning prisoners.
* Gilgoblins are called Gilblins.
* There are whales and sharks swimming around. And Whale Sharks of course.

Imageshack sucks. Why do not people use photobucket instead?

Deepholm
Deepholm is a level 82-84 zone in Cataclysm and the Elemental Plane of Earth. Deathwing rested in the Temple of Earth here. The zone is completly underground and there is a rift at its ceiling.

Uldum
Uldum is a level 83-84 zone in Cataclysm and a land of the titans. Located west of Tanaris, it was once hidden by a cloaking device that was destroyed by the Cataclysm. Some mysteries regarding Azeroths creation - or end - will be revealed here.
Cat people known as the Tol'vir resides here. The zone has a strong Egyptian theme.

[/IMG]

Twilight Highlands
The Highlands is a level 84-85 zone in Cataclysm. The Twilight's Hammer have taken over the old Wildhammer fortress of Grim Batol and dwell here. The zone has Old God prescense and a replica to the Master's Glaive in Darkshore. Grim Batol is Cataclysm final raid on release.

Kezan (1-5)
Kezan is the Goblins level 1-5 area,
* You are someones manager or assitant.
* Kezan is heavily industrialed with roads and cars and posters of goblin girls in bikinis etc. The sky is gray with smoke.
* You can drive over people and they will scream at you.
* The volcano on the island erupts and forces you to flee with ship. But you get sold as a slave instead.

Lost Isles
The Lost Isles is the Goblins 5-12 zone. It is a tropical jungle with a big volcano.
* You are supposed to get out of the Lost Isles at about level 12.
* The S17 are running the Alliance ships and have captured Thrall. They are disguised as Theramore marines.
* Apparently, there is evidence that Garrosh was plotting with the S17 to get Thrall captured so he would become Warchief. He failed as Goblins free Thrall.
* You put Lazor beamz on sharks and fireworks on Chickens.
* The Pygmies have a shamanstic culture.
* There is a  Vashj'elir Naga Spawning Pool.
* Apparently, Gallywix is a meany. I guess he was the one who sold you as a slave. Thrall helps you defeat him.
* In the end, you enter a cave where a Volcanoth rests. The Volcanoth wakes up and the volcano is about to erupt. However, a plane comes down right outside the cave and rescues you.
* When the Volcano erupts, the zone is basically completly destroyed.
* After the Lost Isles, the Goblins sail to the new small port at Bladefist Bay in Durotar.
* In Orgrimmar, Garrosh sends you to Azshara.

Gilneas
Once a isolated human nation, these humans are now Worgen. The Forsaken has invaded and there are some feral worgen running around.
* They have their own "Worgen" language.
* Apparently, you gain your racials as you progress through the story. You get Darkflight at level 10.
* Atm Genn Greymane just uses a normal human model though his worgen form has tattoos.
* Gilneas is "complete" enough to level to 15.

Blackrock Caverns 5-man
New blackrock instance underground.
No mindless AoE on trash anymore. Some Twilight guys stun the person with highest threat (tank). Dragonkin trash mixed with Cultists. Drakonids too. Some do a meteor spell, others a frostbomb spell. Darla or Karsh is a dwarf, probably Karsh.

First boss, Dragonkin. Has cool model.: Tank and spank and he pulls you towards you and chains you to the ground. You have a few seconds to run out when you are freed, or else you die.
Second boss, Darla: Boss with CCable adds. Is a girl. Adds transform in to Dragonkin. Some praying add too.
Third boss, Karsh Steelbender. Looks obsidian/molten.: New mechanics. Oozes in the room. Pull Oozes to the fire so you can kill them. Pull boss to fire to remove his shield, but he gets stacks which does raid damage to you. Pull out him from the fire to make the stacks disappear. Rince and repeat. Some Fire elemental involved, perhaps pull Oozes to them.
Fourth boss, Beauty: Magmadar 2.0. Nothing special but a minor breath attack. You kill puppies. She also charges someone.
Fifth boss: Spectral dragon. Unclear mechanics. Atm you can nuke him down.Surroanded by summoning guys. He does some kind of Phase shift where he becomes immune to damage and you need to kill adds.

Quick Zone Change Overview
Teldrassil: Is cured. The Worgen have a druidic district in Darnassus.
Darkshore: Devastated by the Cataclysm. The Shatterspear Trolls join the Horde in the north. Naga attack to draw attention from Mount Hyjal.
Ashenvale: Horde is making great expansions here and cutting it down more.
Azshara: Terraformed by the Goblins to look like the Horde emblem from above.
Felwood: Still corrupted but more bases here etc.
Winterspring: Seems like it is becoming more forested.
Mount Hyjal: Cataclysm entry zone. Fire elementals attack and destroy some of it. Nordrassil has pretty much regrown.

Stonetalon: Big Alliance VS Horde conflict here. Grimtotem Tauren join Alliance. Old God prescense.
Northern Barrens: Looks the same.
Southern Barrens: The two zones are separated by a lava rift. Big Alliance vs Horde conflict here. There is an area that has regrown into a small forestland.
Durotar: The Thunder Ridge is flooded by water from the Southfury River. Trolls now have their 1-5 area in the retaken Echo Isles.
Desolace: There is a forest here and a large grassland but some parts remain desolate. More Demons and the Centaur have united.
Dustwallow Marsh: The Alliance has a war path from Theramoore to Southern Barrens filled with Siege Engines etc.

Thousand Needles: Flooded though there are new parts on the edges that are not flooded. Connected to the sea.
Tanaris: Northeastern part flooded. Gadgetztan has beach property. Goblins are recruiting Ogres.
Un'goro: Some new neutral base and titan facility.
Silithus: No changes except Ahn'qiraj now exists in the physical world and people will be able to fly over it.
Feralas: The Isle of Dread is sunk and old Feathermoon Stronghold destroyed. There is a new larger Feathermoon Stronghold on the continent and some ogres join the Horde. Green dragonflight stuff.
Uldum: New high level Cataclysm zone with a Titan and Egyptian theme. It was once shielded by a cloaking device that broke with the Cataclysm. Contains several refrences to sci-fi etc. Uldum hides a superweapon.

Tirisfal Glades: New Forsaken architecture from WotLK. Ruins of Lordaeron is now fully accessable though the ruins are rather small...
Silverpine Forest: Huge expansion by the Forsaken. Plague tanks, stone roads, towers and walls everywhere. Quests will lead up to the new level 85 Shadowfang Keep 5-man that will be released in a patch with completly new bosses and a new plot.
Hillsbrad: The Forsaken plague bombed Southshore and now have full control over the zone.
Arathi Highlands: The Forsaken are expanding into here. New dwarven tunnel that leads into the Hinterlands.
Alterac Mountains: Nothing notable.
The Hinterlands: New Forsaken plague research camp and new Wildhammer bunker.
Western Plaguelands: Is starting to heal. Heartglen is taking from the fallen Scarlet Crusade by the Argent Crusade. Both humans and forsaken are trying to settle in Andorhal so Andorhal is split with like 50% Forsaken and 50% Human. Farms are being retaken. The area is healing and it is rumored that the zone is going to be renamed into Darrowmere Forest.
Eastern Plaguelands: The towers are taken by the Argent Crusade. The Light's Hope Chapel is expanded with walls and a crypt that was refrenced but didn't exist in WotLK. The "scars" are filled with water. Still plagued though except in Argent Crusade areas.

Wetlands: Since the Stonewrought Dam in the Loch Modan broke, there is now a larger lake in the eastern part of the zone. Dun Modr has been retaken from the Dark Iron by the dwarves. Menethil Harbor is flooded but not submerged. The houses are protected with sand bags.
Twilight Highlands: The last leveling zone in Cataclysm involves the Twilight's Hammer cult, Old Gods, the new Twilight Dragonflight and more. There are still Wildhammer villages here.
Loch Modan: The Loch is now more since the Stonewrought Dam was destroyed, probably by Deathwing. Some Twilight's Hammer camps are around.
Dun Morogh: The eastern part of the zone is sealed off because it is probably were Gnomes will start in Cataclysm. The famous Ironforge Airport is now accessable and a questing area. Inside Ironforge, there are new leaders and the Hall of the Thanes (also known as Old Ironforge) has been opened to the public.
Badlands: Some of the stone mesas in the zone were cut in half by a powerful force probably Deathwing. Horde expansion. Some small Alliance camps and Goblin bases and a Goblin port though the coastline is not really opened.
Searing Gorge: No known changes so far.
Burning Steppes: No known changes so far.
Deathwing Scar: It's a huge rift that separates the entire continent. It runs from above Stormwind up to the other side of the continent near the Twilight Highlands. It was Deathwings path from the Maelstrom to Grim Batol.

Redridge Mountains: The famous bridge has been returned! But the Horde threatens to bomb Redridge and are successful. Some new WotLK human architecture too.
Elwynn Forest: The Defias are gone but there is a lava area in the Northshire Valley.
Westfall: The war has costed the Alliance and many are into poverty. The Defias are gone but a new band of bandits are recruting more and more of those that have been cast out of their old homes. Plus the Air elemental kind of attack a part of the zone.
Duskwood: There is some Worgen stuff here.
Deadwind Pass: Nothing new.
Swamp of Sorrows: New Goblin and new Alliance town. The Alliance are battling the Horde here. The Lake of Tears where the Sunken Temple is located is now connected to the sea.
Blasted Lands: Now has a coastline. New Horde base. Blood elf camp. Naga activity here. In the south there is now a swamp with a worgen base and a worgen druid tree.
Northern Stranglethorn: The zone has been split. There is some kind of maelstrom here and a new small Alliance base.
Cape of Stranglethorn: More Goblin activity including a goblin fast food restaurant and more pirates and oil rigs. Booty Bay is threatened. More Naga activity-

And I think that were all new zones plus 3 Cataclysm zones on Azeroth (Vashj'ir is located in the sea but is on the Eastern Kingdoms map and Deepholm is another plane).
Remember, buying Cataclysm only opens access to the new zones, level 85, the new end-game, the new battlegrounds perhaps etc but all old zone changes will come for all players. This is WoW 2.

I have never bought a Collectors Edition but hopefully I will be able to convince my parents that is completly awesome just because of the art book. xD
I want the art book becuase apparently, the WotLK art book had lots of art that turned out to become bosses in-game in patches and in Cataclysm.

Normally, I would post something really long here now that I have the opprtunity but I won't since this community isn't interested in WoW and I have accepted that now.

Reminder

Even if you have frozen your account or something like I, you might want to activate for a couple of days now as there is now a one-time event active on WoW.
In the event, you help the Darkspear trolls retake the Echo Isles and the Gnomes upper Gnomeregan.
So if you want to experience this, do it now. It will not stick around forever and it is the start of the Cataclysm pre-events.

Retaking echo isles was a fun event.

I still wander what the Horde guild mount will be. Alliance got an armored lion. Also a pity that ZG will be removed.

From what I can tell from the Totalbiscuit videos, the Horde Guildmount will be a Scorpion. However this is not implemented yet, so it is liable to change.
