AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
NOW THAT'S PRICELESS!

Reminds me of the time I was playing diablo and we decided to start from scratch with my friend. Now were gaming around level 15 or so and this 25 level wannabe comes hanging around causing trouble, I switch to our third comp and log in my 38 level mage(had everything maxed out already with the best gear(level 23 spells ftw!), levels didn't really matter) and ownzor the annoying biatch.

I was one hitting my bro's 50 level knight with full gear with that mage so


Also did the same thing you did in MB with my friend in UT 2004 once. Let my friend play every other round. Now he wasn't complete noob, he was a CSS guy. But losing every other and winning every other round was something I think the others thought I was schitzo or something. Other times the guy has trouble maneuvering and evading and other times he pulls of perfect shock combos and headshots from full speed.

Yeah people really change their attitude when they think they're up against a newbie. I somehow noticed that their attacks lacked zero respect...

Probably partly because feints do not work against newbies.  They'll ignore your whiffing and just slash you in the face, so people tend to just spam them with strikes, hoping they can't block properly.

That is true. Nothing more annoying than chaining a good feint combo only to have him hit you straight in the middle of it.

Fricking Vaegirs with their scimitars seem to be faster than me no matter what I do btw. They can just spam a spinning left swing at me repeatedly and I have like zero time to retaliate.

Not really sure what to do against them once they've forced me to block once... that sword is so fricking fast.

Sounds utterly lame.

OH MY GOD IT INTRODUCES FIREARMS. Yeah cuz we haven't been playing with those through mods since the fricking beta or something...

Firearms ain't even especially fun, it's like bows but lamer.

The whole expansion is patch material imo.

Yeah, seems like something you could fart out in a week or so

Firearms would be good if implemented properly (Formation warfare with muskets ), but I doubt it.

The main improvement is a rewrite for the group AI, which makes 1000 solider battles possible on weaker rigs.
The fact they marked firearms is beyond me.

Getting better at Warband multi

Found out quite a nice trick that mostly 2-handers use..

You prepare a left strike and run past the opponent on the right, striking at him in the process. Now the opponent will block and react by turning left towards you, trying not to expose his back.

This is when you stop in mid-motion and backpedal instead. Since the opponent turns towards your previous position his back is now exposed. It's really simple and it's an extremely nice trick to use.

2-Handers have tricked me with this so damn many times. It's part of their crazy spinning routine...

It's weird really... when 1-handers and spears strike when they're too close to the opponent, the strike doesn't gain any momentum and at most interrupt the opponent. 2-handers however, can chamber their fricking strike inside the opponent and then release it for maximum damage.

Not really sure what Taleworlds were thinking with that.

It actually mostly has to do with the ping imo. I'm usually at 60 and a guy with like 5 ping can move blazingly fast.

I actually no longer have so much problems with Scimitars though. Guess I found out some trick subconsciously or something cuz I can't remember any revelation

I recommend crippeling your own line to 250+~ ping, and make sure that your line will receive lagspikes on the top of it.
It is highly impractical, until you realize you can kill via the lagspikes. You are intangible when under a spike, meaning that you do not receive damage until the spike is over. Which means you can move 5-6 meters, swing a few times, and damage people who are not holding up a shield do paranoia.

So I decided to upgrade myself from the Mount and Blade demo to a full game, so I got my hands on Fire and Sword. And -besides that firearms one-hit everything- it's very good, the physics have been improved since the original and stuff. And the story takes place in a 16th century eastern Europe. Pretty good so far.

I haven't tried multiplayer yet. And since it takes about half an hour to reload your firearm, I doubt it.

Nah I can already see it man... some guy in the bushes from half across the map sniping somebody just as he raises his sword to slash another player...

It'll **** up the balance majorly I think.

Well, they've given the firearm quite a low accuracy to cope with that. They've also made some changes, mostly with the recruiting of soldiers. You can no longer recruit from villages as you please, but have to rely on mercenaries until you get to rule over a village, only then can you recruit soldiers from it.

I think they've made some changes to the soldier upgrading as well, haven't played enough to try that out though.

Also, I can't play online, bought a copy of the game from a mate, and you need the serial key to play online, but that can only be activated on one computer it seems. So I won't be able to talk about the online experience

Oh really? They're low accuracy? Didn't expect that... though that might just be single player balancing... probably totally different online.

I've kinda grown tired of M&B singleplayer, I'm pretty much playing multiplayer exlusively now.

Man they should be working on M&B 2 instead of re-selling the same game with a patch over and over though...
