Let me guess...the one where you cast Teleport on the Zombies and send them over to the enemy range units? Not exactly wicked, but I think it would work. Or perhaps set your Dread Knights on 'wait' and attack a nearby enemy stack; retal absorbed and let you DK's loose?

yes you are.

I wish there was a way I could attach some random maps here, so we can discuss them and possible build orders, rather than this.

there is, you can attach your saved files from your game file. We download them and run them from our side on our H3 game. It's been done in other threads and Xar actually helped me alot in the chaining concept.

Xarfax, what do you recommend we do if we cannot build the dwellings first because of a lack of ressources? (i.e: not having enough crystals for the dragons?)

Thanks

well with this topic i usually play jebus which is a fairly fast a rich map so if you play castle you should have angels by day 5 and castle day 7 this gives you 3 angels for week 2 which you can go clear up your area and if you read angels thread hit cons after you upgraded to AA's i know 40000gold sounds alot but it is fairly easy to get if you not what your doing and by week 3 you should break

Ok, I am open to the new ideas and I don't mind listening to different opinions, but the answer to this question (as well as some others asked here) is so obvious that maybe we should just make smth like a sticky heroes 3 strategy FYI post with this and other questions answered and lock all posts like this? Like:
Q: "should I build the capitol or the army on week 1 on 130% or lower difficulty settings?"
A: "build the army... noob!" (the last word of the answer is optional )
Maybe even provide a short explanation of why.
This will avoid the confusion among the new players reading the forums and we'll get more skilled players faster.

In General situation, I usually build :
(Tavern & Fort have already been built)

Week 1 Day
1 Town Hall
2 Level 1 creature dwelling
3 Level 2 creature dwelling
4 Level 3 creature dwelling
5 Level 4 creature dwelling
6 Citadel
7 Increase-growth building (like griffin bastion and dendroid saplings)

Week 2 Day
1 Marketplace
2 Blacksmith
3 Mage Guild lv1
4 City Hall
5 Level 5 creature dwelling
6 Castle (or saving money for Castle)
7 Saving money for Capitol till enough money, about 2-3 days (or castle)

after Capitol, Level 6 creature dwelling. Then while saving money for Level 7 creature dwelling, build some upgrade creature dwelling.

Ehrm... To be able to win against an expirienced player you just got to build

your 7th level dwelling first week or at least at the beggining of the second.

But you was probably talking about computer on easy right?

So ofcourse no doubt about that creatures are better and crypts become your capitol!

No...itīs because of your wrong building order...thatīs why you are not fast enough...and need more days to finish...

[spam]With fortress, I always go for zombies first, then I aim at upgraded gogs. Itīs a hard task, but worth trying, cause with morale penalty caused by zombies you can give some more handicap to your enemy and when he thinks he is winning, just kill those zombies with magogīs area attack[/spam]

Yeah, I really agree with Icon...
It very much depends on the map. If it's rich I build dwellings and attack fast but mostly I aim for the Capitol first.
For example:
When I play Tower I upgrade the Gremlins to Master Gremlins to clean out low-level annoyances, and then go all out for Cpitol but if I play with Fortress I build the Wyverns as fast as I can.
