is it possible to edit secondary skills ? ex: basic leadership +3 morale
thanks a bunch

Yeah, I also couldn't find how to edit it.

I also want to change the experience points, where the hero gets a level up.

For example:

1st level -> 2nd level : 3000 pts
2nd level -> 3rd level : 6000 pts
3rd level -> 4th level : 9500 pts etc.

Is this possible? (And if yes, which file should I edit then?)

Thanks in advance

Is quite easy, just txt changes.

Fist, you'll need a few programs to extract the files, change them, and reintroduce them.

Last time I checked, initial exp levels were not set in any config files. So hex editing is the only way.

The MMArchive file I already have, but I don't know how to use it well.  Basically I just want to change the creature stats, and implement them in the game.  Maybe even perhaps add special abilities to various units like the acid breath feature for other dragons.

I had the original saved, but I deleted it by accident as I continued to upload add-ons, and with the texedit feature it was easy to change the stats at least.  and the abilities I'll have to figure out some other way.

I did my homework and figured it out with MMArchive.  Thanks for your help!

On another note, is there a way to add special abilities without going through the codes of an ERM? I don't even know what an ERM is lol.  I'm trying!

Hy
Have a question for you mods;

I started a game with my friend online, it's giant map (Hota) ..
we played it one night and we (i) saved it ..
now we both realised that we would have too much creatures to buy from towns when the final fight happens but not enough gold to buy them all even if we discover everything .. so we practictly need to edit that saved game and change any city (already owned or not, random or not) on map from for example Castle to Rampart (so that we can have 10% gold each week) ..

is there a way to change towns through any script ?
thanks

Short answer: No.

Long answer: learn to play. You don't need to recruit every single creature in order to win a game.

I guess you're not a completionist, Sala? From a completionist point of view, it's highly unsatisfactory not to do so, even if it's not required .

I am a completionist (automatic check says here word is wrong but I get the meaning) in the sense I love to get all possible spells and bonuses locations before finishing a map (especially if I play campaigns). But recruiting every creature is useless, battles go much better when you have specific creatures, not all.

Hello. I've got a problem with it. I did download all three tools and followed your commands and still not a single change has been noticed. Ive extracted the file, changed with microsoft excel, then used lodedit among with replace file. Seems everything worked fine cause I extracted the file again and changes are still there, but they don't affect the game. Is there any solution?

Edit : Ok done. If anyone would have the same problem - check the language of the game or even parts of your files

Thank you for all info, editing works.

Unfortunately links to program are no longer working, only 1 is OK.

This thread is very high on google results for "Heroes 3 unit editor", so I decided some time to find existing site with these programs and backup/mirror them (in case another site goes down and it will be very hard / impossible for ordinary person to download programs).

Textedit

Lodedit

It should be also possible to download this from this site
http://v1.archangelcastle.com/download/logh3index.php

These programs works fine with Heroes 3 SoD / Complete, but NOT Heroes 3 HOTA.
