Newcomer questions about modding.

Hi, I'm newcomer to community, but I have played heroes since 1996. Now, I'm taking my first steps on modding scene, and have several questions about things, that not enable my dreams come true.
I'll be grateful for any advice.

1 How to make a spell, which refresh after one turn? On example, a bless which can be dispel, but will come back with next turn?

2 Or spell which give a ability effect to target? Like bless mixed with invisiblity for 3 turns?

3 Is it possible to make working 3d models or animations, and import them to game? In ToK Nexus race I saw a flying saucer, but does it work?

4 If I want to make a new town, it is better to make new game data slot, copy old or switch with already existing?

5 Where I can find a folder with spell effects? I want to change chain lighting to red color, but don't where it is.

6 If i want to make a new type of hero, with new main ability and set of secondary skills, where I should started? Is there any thread about it?

7 Is there any method to give a mechanic unit good morale without negative effects, like mage artificial glory? Or undead creatures, which don't demotivate living ones?

8 And last but not least- is it able to convert creature abilities to heroes? Like imps mana absorb, after get a highter level.

You can't create new spells. Well it can be done in the same way NCF is done (check the sticked thread), but it's going to work only for damaging spells(lets say), so they are going to be just poor clones of the already existing spells... Your idea is not possible.

I'm sure what you are asking there, you are creating a mod file (visit the FAQ for more info). Do not edit directly in the data, it may harm the game...

You can do it, but well, see on the next question, can't tell you now.

You can't create absolutely new hero abilities... you can still change the skill trees. Sorry but I can't search and show you the exact way to the file, my game is not installed on this computer.

Well... no... however, you can remove the "mechanical" or the "undead" ability, it's going to do the same thing but they won't be mechanical/undead any more.

Can't be done... also heroes abilities (except spells) can't be added to creatures. I remember when I experimented with the second one loooong ago...

I know about making h5u, not edit existing data file. If I do that, how could I share it with others.
Thanks for reply, but your post make me feel bad. It's hard to make a amazing new creature, without add something new. It kills some of my ideas. But I think, if Nival can do something, modders can do it too.
I'll try, and I hope find something interesting.
