WCL: Honor agreements

this topic is inspired by THIS one.
Acronims:
- NR = normal report
- NRIIW = no report if I win. report loss if I loss.
My view for situations that are not covered in current WCL rules:
Opponent talks too much, so I ran out of time on my turn.
NR. Players must not distract the attention of another player. So, player who was out of time, should be allowed to load his autosave.
Moving creature (in battle) instead of attacking
NR. As this can't be predicted, then I would ask for autosave.
Engaging guards by misclick
NR. As this can't be predicted, then I would ask for autosave.
Attacking close to maximum number from the range (e.g. lots=47, horde=99 etc)
NRIIW. Sad story, but you can predict it and should be ready for maximum amount of creatures...as well as morale of neutral guards or own bad morale penalty.
Forgetting to switch off autocombat option
NR. I would ask for autosave.
Townsitting
3 days is honorable to sit and wait for money or whatever...More than 3 days I would consider non-honorable delay of the game.
Restarts
By default rules you have 1 restart without reason. Use it wisely. If you restart only because you don't see dwellings, then don't complaint if next time you will be completely blocked in town. NRIIW for 1 additional restart.
Disconnections
1 disconnection is fine. Second is suspicious. Third means that you must fix your PC or change internet provider. Disconnection in important situation like final fight or breaking into trez zone is very suspicious, however it naturally happens sometimes...NRIIW if 3th disconnection has happened. Report loss if 4th disconnection has happened. Some people may allow to save and postpone the game.
Playing with unknown players
Always inform opponent how much time do you have for game. Be as precise as possible. Ask how much time does he have. Make pre-report before the game is started and be sure that opponent has confirmed the game. Tell him your normal turn duration and be sure that opponent agrees to play with your rules or with WCL default rules.
Saving the game
If games lasts longer than expected, then normally is no problem to save the game and continue next time. However, if players agree to play without saves (and mentioned it in pre-report), then player who has run out of time must accept loss.
Saving the game and avoiding to finish it if situation isn't good
Such cases should be reported to me. As you know, Heroic Druid was banished from WCL for reporting only his wins...

I would also give a load even if there hadnt been any talking. The game should be decided on skill not speed.

"Townsitting"

Imo you cant mention an exact number of days allowed. As long as you dont force your opponent to attack you in town to get the win I find townsitting accetable.

"Restarts"

The 1 restart without reson is a horrible rule. Luckily I dont know anyone who ever uses it. Whats the point in this rule? If the map is playeble play it, if not restart. Restart with no reson is a waste of time and very frustrating if you get a good start.

@loads: If you know a player well you will normally have a consensus conserning loads. Most people give loads and accept loss if they end up losing. If you want it to be diffrent you should mention it before the game. If you dont know your opponent it really dosent matter much, why he wants a load. He can allways claim he misclicked even though he suicided. Personally I give loads, also more than one. I sometimes also ask for a load, but never 2.

Indeed, that alone would be a reason for me to not play.
Restarts happen often enough on randoms (or at least used to, donīt know how it is these days), so give an additional one for no reason is a real fun killer.

The point was to balance a bit blue player and to make more predictible restart system. However recent town/color bet system for TE version is much more balancing imho.

Who will decide is map playable or not? For some people Jebus without level7 dwell is totally unplayable map...For some other people - 30 ogre town block is not a problem.

So what happens if you take your one restart and then pack effret sultans block your town? You lose the game or you restart again? If you lose the game I say its a lame way to lose. If you restart again who decides whether the map is playeble or not? In other words you gain nothing by this restart with no reson rule, you still have to decide whether the map is playeble or not.

If a player like attacks a cons, treaurey and loose, in other words, he suicide, thats end game right?

when player suicides that means he lost the army and/or hero and most likely the whole game. He may try to recover or he may ask for load and another player may agree to give such load. Not all players agree to give load

have a question

About the honor if you force a player to attack you in a castle...
What if you know that he will beat you, if you dont hide in a castle?

I had this game where the player went for wiverns, and i went for his castle. then i got to my castle in time and also had took his castle, but he had horde of wieverns. If he went for his castle, he would lose a weeks army so he went for mine...

he sad it was dishonorable for me to hide in castle, but if i would attack him outside he would won the game and my whole adventure to get his castle would be for nothing . so i stayed in castle and won the game. He was angry and just left without saying anything lol.

So who was right by wcl honor rules, me or him?

Hi, i am new at wcl, and have few questions about honor.

1. Is n't it matter of tactics, do you wait in castle for attack or fight outside?
Does wcl honorable rules says that every battle should be outside, or maybe if your oponent ask for outside battle you should?

With rampart i never wait in castle but with tower always(especialy in someother castles).

2. Do I need to wait oponent to buy his army or i can attack when i want? Is n't it a 'steal' of castle also part of game tactics?

I had situacion, my oponent was near castle and he ask me to wait until he buys his army and to battle him outside. I could take his castle without fight, but i wait becouse of honor. Then he attack me and he was expert tactics, cast expert slow, and almost won game. I had expert earth and air, and thats only reason i won.


3. I played with one player, and he wouldn't confirm game, after he won he confirmed and report his win. He win fair, but if he lose he wouldnt confirm. What should I do?

if your opponent want to stay in town, he can do it. however most players consider staying in town for more than 3 days as inappropriate delay of game.

lol. you should not wait and should attack when you can. keep in mind Red Rush rule though

always ask to confirm game before game started or at first few turns. If he decline to confirm, then he most likely will not confirm his loss anyway...
