some of my strongest opponents were town sitters. sometimes it all comes down to a test of will...who wants it the most. i always thought that if it became obvious that neither side could make progress in a situation like that a draw could be agreed to...but the system does not allow for draws.

I think there is nothing wrong in town sitting, hit & run, etc. as long as there is a pact between players. Some say h&r is lame...i think its a consequence of bad exploring...it leaves some of the map adventure strategy out and it has been done in lots of real battles. I also agree that a game could also last forever with some of this approaches so...its all in the player´s hand in the end...i personally would h&r if my enemy has great army but no movement and i would town sit if i expect another hero(or player) to save me or just die in my castle.
@feluniozbunio: If someone townsits he already knows he is dead but perhaps a noob player would die in the siege.

Now that i think about it it was always something. Townsitting hit&runs or choosing power heroes, but hey u have to take down those champs somehow eh?
