I meant guys. Ask women, they in majority prefer dark haired guys with dark/blue eyes

As for women yeah red is beautiful... but wait it's not on topic actually.

Shame the old topic is gone, so much useful info.

It's on topic for some of us .  Well I have something more on topic to share.  As some may or may not know I have been sort of a mentor for a neighborhood girl struggling with her sexuality (get your mind out of the gutters).  Well last thursday she went with me to "My Fathers Kitchen" (I finally got a chance to go, havn't been able to for awhile) to help them serve some food to those who need it.

Everything went pretty good until (Lets call him Dave) came in.  Dave is somebody who has been trying to convince the people at the Kitchen to ban me from helping out.  He is very very religious and considers me an 'abomination'.  I personally couldn't care less what he thinks.  However, the girl overheard him on one of his 'Why do you still let that abomination come here' speeches.  Things went south fast.

((Since I won't use her real name )) Jane, of course, was not going to let that slide.  Her direct quote "The only abomination here is close minded bigots like you." (Directed of course to Dave).

To which he replied "I bet you are that freaks lover, IT (yes he calls me an IT) wouldn't be above robbing the cradle."

Now about here is where I would normally step in, and take Jane and leave.  I may bend some arms if some idiot gets handsy, but words have never once bothered me.  Jane was about to blow her top, and I could tell things were going to go from horrible to worse.  Something..odd happened before I could intervene.  Suddenly Dave was stammering an appology and beating a hasty retreat.  I was utterly confused.  As Dave is about as likely to appologize as a volcano is to erupt a chocolate fudge sundae.

I had no clue what had happened, but Jane was giggling the whole ride home.  So I finally asked her what had happened.  She explained that Fred (will explain in a bit) had been the cause.  Apparently he had stood up behind me with his arms crossed.

Now Fred (no need to change his name, he can protect himself) is a very quiet person. Fred is one of the two black people I know (well that I call a friend) in the town.  He is polite, and maybe the purest soul I have ever met.  He also makes me look like a dwarf.  Fred stands 6'9", and has shoulders to match.  He could maybe pass for a wall if he tried hard enough lol.  Weird thing is, I've never seen Fred so much as be upset, let alone angry.  Not sure I would want to either.  Apparently he was scowling at Dave, however.

Fred probably wouldn't hurt a fly, but I know I wouldn't want to test the theory.  It was an unusual day.  Now Jane wants to go back next week. She wants to say thanks to Fred before he leaves for Cali.  He has gotten a job out there..as a bouncer of all things.  I'll miss the big lug.

Well I have my thoughts on the matter, but only he would know for sure.  Probably because of the transgender operation.  Of course he thinks I am an abomination, so could be anything.

I am not violent by nature (normally), and it would not have really solved anything.  He has been indoctrinated at birth to think the way he does, nothing I do will alter that.  Also I would consider it sinking to the level of the people who used to hit me for being different.  Now, if he had raised a hand to or hit 'Jane' all bets would have been off.

Well this will come as a total .. non shocker.  Ricky Martin has come out of the closet.  Of course I am not sure why we should care.  Don't get me wrong each celebrity coming out does good for the community..but I just can't help to say..So what?

Lady Gaga is Bisexual..So?
Ricky Martin is Homosexual (big shocker there /sarcasm) - So?

Some people will now either love them, or hate them .. despite what they thought about them before..just because of this..and it makes NO sense.  It doesn't change anything they have, are, or will do.  AT ALL.  Heck, it doesn't even take as much courage anymore for these celebrities to come out.  Some probably come out because it is the current 'it' trend.  Which is actually kinda depressing..if you ask me.

Its not like they have to worry about being attacked physically by a group of people out of fear.  They got body guards for that..the most that will happen (if that) will be a slip in sales..but now it is often the opposit.  They have 'so much courage' that it is free instant publicity for them..and it kinda makes me ill.  Are they being sincere, or are they doing it for money?  Sometimes you can't tell..

What I don't get is..that should be a good thing for the LGBT community!  Our goal should be that whenever somebody 'comes out' that is EXACTLY the response it gets.  Yet people seem to be wanted to be treated special because of it.  No, no, no. EQUAL, not SPECIAL AND EQUAL you CAN'T HAVE BOTH.

Depends on how you define publicily..and why you are doing it.  Let me explain.  I had to explain things to my family.. because they were always trying to fix me up with somebody. It got rather..tedious to make up excuses why I wasn't interested in their latest golden boy.

Also the benefit of letting others who might be like you KNOW is there.  Sometimes it is harder to realise who might return your attraction then people realise.

"declaring" sure is nothing but crying for attention. I just wonder if everyone who admits they are gay in public fall to this category in your opinion.

For example, if in a talk show and you are asked directly if you are gay, should you lie about it?

I would lie.
I would say I'm gay.

But I would hold that up until the moment everyone gets completely bored of my act and forgets about me, in a desperate attempt to kickstart my crappy career back to life by any means possible. Just like Ricky.

I don't mean family, I rather think of people admitting in a random interview they're gay or something. To the "fans". What is the point? Why should the fans care if artist X prefer men or women? It's not like they are going to be their potential partners anyway...

I would say it's none of their damned business, honestly. Because such information is as irrelevant as what I have eaten for breakfast today. I mean, why bother? I think celebrities really should work on intimacy. Learn what's private & what is not. Talking about career, motivation, their work... sure. Talking about who do they have sex with, what was their last hangover like or how often do they take a dump... like, why? Isn't this a private matter?

I think as always itīs easy to over-simplify. Iīm not a proponent of the whole declaration thing, but on the other hand, sometimes itīs just easier to come clean to avoid confusion. Let me give some examples.

I used to not be overly open with my sexuality because I was seeing it as a private matter. I didnīt want to be defined by it, like when people come up to you and say "Hi, my name is xxxx, Iīm gay", and youīll think, "great, why do I need to know that?".

However, having people knowing it right away can make it easier in many ways. First off, itīs kind of easier to kind out to people who donīt have a previous opinion about you, because you donīt need to consider how it might change their opinion. It saves you those uncomfortable situations where people donīt realise youīre gay and say something which has to make you either come out in some odd situation (which can be aqward or embarassing for you or them) or to play along - which is also uncomfortable. It also saves other people the uncomfortable situation where they think you might be gay, but donīt want to ask you because they donīt want to offend you if youīre actually not. (And finally it saves you the situation when girls come on to you and you have to politely tell them youīre not interested, but Iīm not sure you can see the problem in that one, lol.)

Anyway, thereīs of course a difference between me as a person and some star as a public person - but if they want to make a statement, let them - what do we know about what situations theyīve been in anyway.

I missed that very touching story from Mytical before.

I also don't care about people's sexuality as long as they respect others. Obviously sexual harassment is never good, gay straight or something in between, or neither.

My point... Personally I really don't get this need for a LGBT 'community' to begin with... I'm bisexual, but that doesn't mean I'm automaticly 'connected' to other bisexuals, I don't know those people; who the hell are they?

Frankly I find the whole notion of it stupid. Why group up based on sexuality? It's as stupid as a sense of nationalism.

I don't get why people want to feel connected to such a community. Is it because they want a certain sense of security? That's the only reason I can think of, that and a typical human desire to 'belong' to something.

As far as I'm concerned sexuality isn't much of a topic to 'discuss' simply because there isn't anything to discuss. People who judge you for your sexuality are stupid, and people who take 'pride' in their sexuality are stupid as well. End of topic.

Had a friend who told me "Geez, I really don't get how you can be sexually turned on from fat ugly dudes.", such a bright guy.

"Well love," I told him, "I guess I'm just not attracted to ugly fat chicks."
