What I don't want in H6

I do want H6 to be a good game and have good graphics(although graphics are the least i expect on a HOMM game) but i dont want it to have huge system requirements.

Another thing...i did not play campaign in H6 but since i saw what happens and HOW it happens...well i dont want another H5 story.

Is there anything you dont want in H6?

I don't want it to be a copy of HoMM 3.

I'd welcome, not a copy of heroes 3 but a well done
inspired-from-homm3 game, that Homm5 is not

@Pei : Anyway, no one wants high system requirements you know

I think I wrote in bad english

I meant Homm5 is not really a good new version of Homm3. This is just my opinion, but too many points of gameplay have just been included without any changes (as well as a lot of objects, but this in not my point) while some others have been changed in a bad way (the city level for example).

The skill system is the best feature ever created in Homm5 though, with the rage of the Orcs to me. That is very poor

I kinda hate that initiative bar and the initiative as a stat. I really feel that I can't plan my actions the way I used to.

come on, the fantasy world they inhabit is as generic as they come, they could at least take the piss out of it in 6!

I really disliked the H5 Storyline. Gameplay-wise, H5 was top, but the story... blergh

I do not want to have repetitive gameplay. In other words, I would like a game-play that is quite variable, and preferably one that allows every faction to have several unique playing styles. (pretty much like it is now).

I got no problem with nicer graphics and especially good music. It's not necessary to go too gung-ho though.

I never play through the campaigns, but I played enough of them to know that H5 is the worst story and dialogue for any game I've ever played. It's embarrassing. So a completely new world would be fine with me, but they could still salvage this one if they just stepped up the maturity and depth of the game by about 10 notches. It seems like they were just using the campaign as an excuse to go through a bunch of maps, and I guess for some people that's okay, but isn't that what custom maps are for? If there's going to be a campaign, I think they should really emphasize a good story.

I liked the more race-based themes in H5, but they did overdo it with the Fortress faction big time. 6/7 dwarf units? Talk about a sausage fest. They really need to make it more diverse if they're going to keep it; like a broader Nordic theme with a combination of humans, dwarves, and other mythical monsters from Midgard.

I also think Stronghold is really ghetto looking, but most people disagree with me on this one I liked the wind-swept rocky terrain and green orcs and goblins of H3 better.

Yeah kinda agree; better balanced specials would also be OK for me.  Just compare Ylthin/Wyngaal/Ossir against Vinrael/Dirael within Sylvan alone.  There was a good discussion in CH too.

At least there is a dragon, huge fat dwarf, quick dwarf & real dwarf that are not all slow.  I hate how haven's lvl 1-3 upgraded troops all have the same pitiful 4 spd & 8 init - surely there's some fats humans around?

Funny how it's easy for me to say what I don't want rather than what I do want - good single & multi gameplay, balanced fantasy heroes-based TBS keeping the revolutionary skillwheel or something like it

No more slow turns.  The largest downside of the game was the slow-pacedness. I think many people's opinions of everything else suffered for that reason alone. Nice graphics, but too slow.

PLEASE developers- make HOMM VI much faster than its prequel.

Those turns were slow because of Nival's engine, I'm guessing. I don't think that will be a problem anymore.

Same for me. The initiative at least should not affect how often the current unit takes turns. The fact that one unit makes two turns while the other has only one... well, it's horrible and IMO an imba.
Although speed should be separated from the turn order, the best examples of initiative usage are KB: The Legend and Disciples 2, not H5.

Also, I would like to see H6 without a stupid map editor (Heroes 4 had a better one in terms of event making) and without the H5 art style, where everything seems to be taken from some other game (except for the orcs, but their shaman is clearly from Disciples )

Single hero class and just 5 skill slots beyond the special, with 3 perks to a skill. With such a huge skill-and-perk-wheel only being able to pick a small number of them is anticlimatic.

Same model for all heroes including females, those who are supposed to be mounted and those who should not (vayshan, vyngaal, this means you). This seriously needs to go; if games today have such good graphics why not take advantage of them? At least point me to a user-friendly 3D editor and let me put new models in the game without screwing up MP, I'll even do it myself...

Side note: 3dS Max and GMAX are both very tedious and unfriendly to the user, how is it possible to get used to them?

All women of faction X dressing like hookers (Darkies, Dwarves, Orcs).
1) I take exception at every girl in an entire species choosing roughly the same style.
2) Spread the cleavage over more factions and tie it to the character! Why does X wear a long, modest dress and Y barely has a few trinkets covering the most sensitive parts?

All men of faction X dressing like [insert stereotype here]. Same reasons, more or less.

Five inch thick armor. The gravity in Ashan must be .1g for that to work, no matter what magical powers or such they have... It's also easier to model armor that has no thickness at all, and just looks like a sheet of paper changed and painted to look like something. After all, IRL armor was sometimes as thin as a playing card (*cough* ancient Persians) and until tanks never even approached 1 cm ( = 0.39 inches).

In a related topic, get rid of armor with boobs, seriously that's ridiculous, unless you're talking an ancient-style, one-piece muscled breastplate. With late medieval plate as we see in Heroes, at most a woman would have a slightly bulging breastplate to allow for the breasts, but that was very dangerous because if the armor is not a tight fit on the body but has air underneath, it is defeated a lot easier. Not a lot of women wore armor those days, but those that did would rather put some squeeze to the breasts than be killed by a blow that their armor would otherwise save them from.

Nooo ... the initiative feature is the best thing about Heroes 5. Ok, it could need a slight tuning (make Initiative less important, so that a Int 5 unit is not completely useless and a Int 18 unit is not completely imba) but it adds much more strategy than Heroes 3 where every unit acted always in the same order.

What I don't want in Heroes 6: Pointles micromanagement. Please make windmills, water wheels, etc. flaggable.

That's exactly the thing I was talking about. Initiative should make the order slightly different but not make imba's you've mentioned.

That's not so hard, all you need is a larger minimum value. Right now you got base 6 to base 19, which is already *3.33.

Make it 16 to 29 and it's not even double
