Well, while I always support useful modifications, I am a bit confused about this. Mostly because it can be done with a very simple code in ERM, and all mapmakers already used it. It is better to keep track of your unpassable squares in ERM so you can modify them at your wish than have them sparred on the map and hard to find. But keep the good work

It was me who suggested these and i still think they may com in useful. For example in the week of the XX monster they are spawned all over the map. But never on those impassable squares. So assume a "lake" simulated with the water patches and impassable plants around it (like the original lake objects). Now with these invisible impassable objects you can inhibit placement of monsters in the midst of that lake.

I have 25678 ideas for making a map. Supposing that a map takes me about 6 months, I could share some I guess
Some:
1) Oblivion
2) Starwars (objects ready but low quality, need 3DS max skills)
3) The empire of the World 4
4) The raise and fall of the Heroes community (lot of resources)
5) Might and magic 6 or 7 (minimaps already done and posted on russian forum)
6) Gengis Khan, the raise of mongol Empire
7) The romance of the three kingdoms (objects ready and uploaded)
8) Fallout
9) Stargate Atlantis (working on atm, any has the knowledge about adding white glow around artefats and teach me?)
10)The fall of the roman Empire (objects ready and uploaded)

That would be interesting to make. I suppose you mean the Roman objects from you patch .
But there's one problem, I know NOTHING about Rome..
I think I should start studying the history of rome right now, if I'll start this map/campaign..

Yes, gathering the real facts and story is long but also determinate the layout and events/scripts. For example, I started collecting sources for Atlantis one month ago before starting the map. The map will be draw only when I have all sources ready, the story done, and the characters imported (3 out of 5 yet). I would say (works for me at least):

Make minimaps, it is decisive for further then (I used 200+ compiled bmps to make the minimaps)
2 months to collect story/sources and import the objects/characters.
1 month to draw the map.
3 months to script/debug.

But I still think the mmountains look good even without those cool
new special grounds.. I think the mountains are just fine the way
they are . But I do like the grounds very much and they look
great with my mountains

Instead of creating new special terrains it would be better to adjust the color. It is not that difficult. Even i succeeded with 1 even without any knowledge in image processing.

It is not difficult. You need 1. a picture of the standard grass background, and 2. the mountain pic. Then select by color, select the green parts of the mountain. Then use clone and clone some of the grass into the green mountain parts. After that they fit well onto grass.

Can you show the one you did? I tried it but the base mountains green is composed from 20-25 green colors, it will take forever to change them all, size is small and hard to see the pixels etc. Gave up, made terrain instead.
