International Heroes III League - Legends of Heroes

Welcome,

We are the oldest active Heroes III league in the world. We wrote to You because we would like You to join our initiative of building the best Heroes III league. What distinguishes us from all the other leagues is the greatest experience, professional attitude and cash prizes for the best players. During our tournaments like Legends of Heroes,  League Cup or Professionals League we have accumulated a prize pool of 1500PLN (circa 375EUR). On October 1st, Polish League transformed into International League, and we count on Your help with creating it. We offer the following competitions:

"Because every master had to take the first step"
Amateur League is a simple ladder competition, in which the position is determined according to ranking points, calculated by a special formula (everyone starts with a ranking of 1000):

[(x-y)/500 + 2]^2 + (x-y +1000) * 0,008

where x stands for the losers ranking points, and y for the winners'. while every loss accounts 1 point to the player.

This mode is a great opportunity for the new players to establish their own brand, as well as a good training for die-hard gamers before some serious competition (e.g. Professional League or Legends of Heroes II Tournament). Each month, two new maps will be chosen, and winning on them will account the player an additional 25 percent points. Moreover, with the end of the season, play-off phase will take place, where the best players will test their skills, and the winner will receive a premium account for the next season.

"One for all, all for one"
Team Play is a competition for four-player teams, with every member having to play with a town other than his companions. To make the competition more interesting, two maps will be chosen each month for the games to be played on. Points gained are summed up on the team's account. The best team's members will be rewarded with premium accounts for the next season.

"History remembers the winners only"
For demanding players we prepared the most prestigious Professional mode. It's a competition for premium users only (cost of a premium account is 6EUR). For the price we offer a ten-month competition with up to 40 games to play (plus additional games for the best players of each round). At the end of the season three players with the most points accumulated will play a round-robin mini-tournament, and according to its results the prize pool of 1000PLN (circa 250EUR) will be divided.

The Professional League was created in a way enabling only one game with each player. An exception to this principle are bonus and final fights, which are additionally rewarded and may create an opportunity to take revenge on the other player. Contractual maps for Professional League games are Random Balance, Balance PC, Jebus and 2sm4d(3), while the difficulty levels are 130% and 160%. The winner of the League will be announced the official LoH League Master, and his name will last on the cards of history forever.

Famous players like

   * The Gladiator BG;
   * Tiamath;

have already announced they will participate in the Professional League. They have chosen already - now we are waiting for you to join the best!

"Because convenience is fundamental"
In addition to playing and reporting games, the web page also offers a possibility of finding an opponent for an unranked game. The dueling grounds is the place for this kind of matches. I would like to point out that the LoH League was the first one to introduce this system. The web page offers a large download section, shout box, forum and player gallery. Every player will have his or her own profile, in which detailed information about his or her games, titles won or other players' opinions may be found.

Finally I would like to invite everyone to get familiar with the web page, available at http://www.legends-of-heroes.com

Best wishes,
Uzza

Hi all,

I got invitation to this League like other players. I was slightly interested in Pro League and style of that tournament. After i was asked few questions, i got E-mail with the message:

Hello Black Knight,

We would like to inform you that you do not buy a Premium account, because wehave information about your not fair games. You can use our statistic system but you can'tparticipate in any competition.

Regards
Administrators of LH

They wanted matter it via email, but i dont have what to conceal.
So, im very dissapointed about League admin and information, he got.
Now i have one very big question. Why all, who think bad (not fair, cheater) about player (for example now about me) never tell to that person? Why always informations comes from other person (for example now from player, who dont know anything about me). Where is that information? Where are these slanderers ? They are cowards.

And they still think to become best league )))

Are you really giving out RL money?
You should know better, this never works...there are far too many ways to cheat in Homm3. It only works in real life tourneys, where you can monitor the players...

I donīt know if they are losers, but money prizes suggest that they donīt know how to run a successful FUN tourney..
TOH was able to do that after some time, because they were big and it just added some spice, but *starting* this way and with a RL fee for the "Pro" tourney...if this works you can call me Santa.

2 posts of Lituanian players are not good argument of B_K protection
It's very hard to find and prove map hack. And many B_K wins arn't argument too. But he won GameGuru championship on fix maps, where it's not so helpful, so it tell that B_K is good player anyway.

PS I don't wanna say that B_K is a cheater
PPS Anyway that league isn't Legend league without russian famous players.

probably it's not a strong argument, but still argument. Anyways, to my opinion this is far way big sum of money considering that there is no protection from cheaters (compared to live games).

I didn't tell that he is bad player. "Legends of Heroes" (Legendy Heroes) has been created 5 years ago for the biggest polish tournament. We are "fighting" right now to pick up it to international.

BTW, thanks for suggestions. We have peoples who will be checking saves in PRO mode.

Most cheaters are weak players.

However, there is no reason to think that only weak players cheat. A strong player that cheats smart is almost impossible to detect.

It is usually easy to detect, f.e. i knew Flamingo checked magic guilds, and it was easy to prove because of the weird building structure (like wtf did he build 4th guild in a secondary dungeon town and starting from L1 on, but not in his main rampart town where he already had L3?). I checked the guilds, and of course the rampart one had crap spells and the dungeon had resurrection...

The only problem with this is, most of the players that do those checks and call themselves honor council or whatever, dont have a snowing clue...

Sure, Live games are best, but impossible to make it International. I hope only to wait Ultimate TE version, where any cheat will be impossible. But who knows, maybe will be players then, who can call you Hacker

I sure cannot understand why is it possible to run TE more than once on the same pc. Shoudln't that be a priority instead of all other not so important modifications ? Why not make it impossible to run second Te or Map Editor while Te is already running ?

The way things are it is ridiculously easy to cheat, almost like begging to cheat.

This can also explain some horrendously long turns during games and some strange game situations, that look almost like divine intervention in the favour of one player.

There are statistics about spells and factions. Maybe he knew that dungeon has more chances to give armagedddon, as he was playing with goldies. Maybe he was looking for resurrect, who knows. Many people accused Antal and Flamingo of cheating, but those were damnt good players. The fact is the young Antal was already chess master, and that means tactical deep knowledge and may apply to Heroes too. I don't know if they cheated, but I know they also played goodly.

I know Sal, but he started building the dungeon guild from L1 on, when on the same day he could have had a L4 in the rampart.
AND his main hero was near the rampart, not the dungeon, and he would prolly have had the ressources for both (fairly rich map).

Would you not check the rampart L4 when your hero could also walk in the same day, and you already did the most important upgrade with goldies? Impossible that a good player does this, other upgrades like Dendros or whatever are really unimportant compared to L4 spells...

Btw no doubts here about Antal, he was a much better player than Flamingo anyway + a very nice guy, had good games with him.
