Thanks Mostly yes, but I dont really have time to make creatures from scratch now, but Im improving the creatures that were previously made. ( not the original ones ). For now Im not really focusing on Inferno and Fortress but on the other castles. The other two will be done in the future.

Hey here's an interesting problem you may be able to solve. So you know how in HoMM 2 the Warlocks have 3 dragons? Think there's a way to code this into a town, so that you can upgrade the building twice? I was thinking just to make a dummy building the third tower upgrade, like instead of the mana vortex or something, but it wouldn't be in the right spot in the build screen. Thoughts?

They achieved that in Horn of the Abyss, but that's a Russian mod, and Russians are generally superior as far as modding is concerned.

Could always check out their mod and see how they did it if you really wanted, although if everything is going to have an upgrade, then it might be pointless having one particular creature have 2 upgrades instead of 1 anyway.

I think a creature have 2 upgrades can be made by using Hex editor,you can use it to change the heroes3.exe,if you want to make it close to SOD instead of WOG.

Because explaining to you from A to Z what to do would take weeks of labor. Usually people interested in H modding have often some achievements before-H2, maps, campaigns-, no one will gonna spend weeks to teach you if you come from no where. At the very start you are on your own, that is how was for each of us. If you can't figure the basics, no way you can advance further, better try another game.

Have you read all of the tutorials? 99.999% of questions asked by new people are answered in them. It's not that we don't mind helping, it's that people get stuck right away and think the easiest thing to do is ask instead of read. I know, I was a complete n00b a year ago. Now I made a town.

@fred79 I believe the basics in the H3 programming would be to read the Erm Help(read the thread "Erm help and discussion") and to read other threads here in Wog subforum about other tools/programs and not last-to read about Era and Era tools in the Era thread!

After reading I suggest you to try asking in a little more polite manner and I am sure you will receive even better help,than you expect!

I don't think this mod is anything special. If you want to play Heroes 2, play them. The combination of different graphics (H2 is cartoon-like, H3 realistic, as much as it's possible for an old game) looks bad. Why someone doesn't mod Heroes 2 and add a few good things from H3? (disply possible damage numbers, remake interface, (it's hard to find how many resources you possess)...)

The combination of HOMM2 and 3 graphics is obviously a sign that the mod isn't complete yet. And that's an old screenshot, nearly everything has been converted to HOMM2 graphics.

If you think this is a bad mod, don't play it. I on the other hand would love to play this because I love HOMM2.

Can't you see how many differences are between this mod and H2? Much more content is added... If you don't like it, don't comment on this topic, go play whatever you want noob xd
