To the author of this mod - how have you managed to change the pictures within watrtl.def without altering its color on the minimap?

The first 10 or so colors in the palette are important for the minimap color, which are altered by deftool when making the def. There's no known fix right now, but trial and error would work as different defs can produce different colors for the mini map. For example I've gotten brown, tan and various shades of green by altering the palette (not with those colors) so eventually someone may find a good 'blue' that comes from some other color, but that would be time consuming and hopefully the smarter fellows on these forums can find a good fix. Maybe the def's palette is stored in memory somewhere or something.

Galileo there's already a King's Bounty mod . Well at least the interface. Besides just play the damn game, instead of asking for a mod about it? It's not like there's a big difference

Yes it does, the DOS version of Succession Wars, but not Price of Loyalty or Gold, or for that matter, the Windows version of Succession Wars.

When the castles and the h3 adventure map objects more or less finished
So others can help testing, finding bugs etc. but I don't haste it, just I would like to know how the project stands.

Right now we are doing quite well. Kivo is about half way done with the Witch town, both creatures and town graphics. Once we finish this we will make sure everything works 100% and then probably release a beta not including the Heretic town (inferno).

As far as a date goes, that really depends on Kivo's free time and our ability to make sure what we release is high enough quality. Maybe a good estimate (!) might by by the end of the year. But we're both students so it could just as easily be the end of next year

Like Kegolo said, if everything goes well a beta release of the mod might be around the end of this year. As Fortress is about 3/4 done, so far everything is looking good. Kegolo is doing an amazing job with the coding which speeds up the progress, but as we are both students sometimes its not possible to do much in some days.

Just some more info of what has been improved, changed and added:

- Mod under Era 2.3
- A very large number of bugs/crashes fixed.
- Loading problem solved.
- New creatures ( Gog, Breeder, Fortress Creatures )
- Fortress Castle overall.
- Improved Creatures looks: Elder Hobbit, Centaur Captain, Griffin, Gnom ( from Gnoll )
- Improved Game balance ( Creatures, buildings, abilities, heroes )
- Many new interfaces, cursors and icons ( improved more to H2 style )
- More maps ( both from H3 and H2 )
- Improved gameplay on Random Maps
- Adventure map creature dwellings
- Possibility to recruit 3 Dragons ( Green, Red, Black )
- H2 style combat in Options Menu
