Hi Kalu.

I took one look at your project and knew that it had a lot of potential. I'm a big fan of HOMM2, and seeing a project like this is amazing.

I read a comment on your April 2nd video on youtube and read that you were having a problem with human resources. Well, I know a place that might have people that are willing to help out with the project.

If you haven't noticed, there is another Heroes community you might want to get in touch with (if you haven't already). It's called Celestial Heavens, and it's where I first got WOG.

WOG is fun, but this project is a dream come true to me. I've seen your youtube videos and I'm eager to see more, or even better, release the mod early so other people can test, play, and enjoy it. I can understand wanting to make sure that the mod is good enough to play, but like all great projects, it never hurts to have community support. Besides, we're all eagerly waiting for you to release something, even if it's just a beta. It'd be tragic if the project were to stop and cease to exist, without releasing anything. Just from what I've seen in your youtube videos, I can already tell this is going to be the next best thing.

This project is too good to let go, just because of human resources. This is a wonderful thing you're doing.

hello no isn't a gnoll, is a secret  .. but now i need a idea for a last monster for necropolis,  in the past we have choose a black knight but, when we was replaced the ghost for the mummy, we have found that the necropolis had deteriorated because they have only one shooter, and many slow soldiers..

the flying monsters are average.. in the other heroes games,  the second shooter is a skeleton upgrade, but in this case the skeleton evolve in another walker.

for this reason.. and for the mod... i'll accept any sugestion for a shooter creature or for default a flyer... .. please donīt use lamasu thanks

P.D: when the factions have been complet finished

when factions are completely finished, I'll upload the beta for testing.

Anyway as for another creature..hmm shooter - maybe something like Venom Spawn from H4 but im not sure will it fit. Or maybe some kind of zombie throwing axe or hatchet Flying creature - i dont have idea. EDIT: Maybe some kind of knight riding on a giant, mutated bat ?

IN THE MEAN TIME
Some suggestions for Undead Ranged units. If you're avoiding the Skeleton Archer theme, this could complicate things, but do remember that the Undead have never been known for having many ranged units in their retinue, and have thusfar been more than capable of holding their own (homm 5 was the first time they had more than 1 ranged unit).

Anyway, some suggestions. This is amazingly hard to come up with XD
Uhm... guess you could do the Venom Spawn, but I reckon that would be lulzy more than anything. Would suggest a different Skeleton unit (aside from the original skeleton unit, second or third level unit could be a bulkier skeleton ranged unit, perhaps the Skull Thrower from Might & Magic?), but I'm not too sure about it.

Otherwise, I would suggest an alternative to an additional ranged unit. For example, while the Undead would be better in melee, perhaps you could add in a faster ground unit with a melee attack (and as I type this I remember what the Black Knight was herp).

I have a suggestion for a Necromancer shooter. Why not have Necromancers in the faction? They are the ones that raise the dead after all. I think a Wizard-like mage in a black robe would be nice. Their upgrade could be an Adept or Master Necromancer. Or if the names are too long, you could put in Dark Mage, and Black Mage respectively. They could be a tier or two below the Liches.

Imo it would be too similar to hero (hero actually is necromancer) and just boring. There is already lich who is mage.

What about Ghoul slingers? Maybe this is a good shooter for undeads and non-magic user so different from liches, no skeletal, soooooo...
May looks like a zombified halfling with the size of a zombie?
Upgrade could be Ghast slinger with the special ability of weakness on hit (10-20% chance\hit?).

What about a Revenant?



A hovering, reaper-type scythe weapon Necromancer creature.

Or even an armored Revenant...

Well, this was the kind of necromancer I had in mind. On a side note, as of right now, I'm not very good with shading.

Problem with the Necromancer (and also the reason I didn't say it in my suggestions) is because the Necromancer is the hero, and the Lich kind of already fills that role (although it IS strange that the Necromancer commands Liches, as Liches are supposedly more powerful).

But your Necromancer does look reasonable, perhaps we could call it something like a Black Priest or something? Could work, although having two 'mage' units as your ranged units does seem odd to me, it could work as something new.

Sounds good to me, the main issue I was having was doubling the Necromancer name within the same race ^^
However, it is not my place to finalise the idea, I am merely a fan following this thread and throwing in some suggestions here and there :3

Well if the team approves of this idea, I think I can actually make a final version of the sprite, with animations and such. But I'll wait until I hear from kalu on whether or not he'll accept my suggestion.

'Necromancer' is a class. 'Lich' is a race. Some Necromancers are liches [Moandor, Isra, Sandro, Nagash] and some are vampires, humans etc.

it looks very good.
what's that spider? it looks like a robot?

that ghoul is supposed to replace the black knight? it sounds like a zombi upgrade.
and weakening shot. the mutant zombi has a weakening attack too? that would be a good combo to weaken an enemy?

for fortress level 7, instead of another dragon, maybe a carnivorous plant? entangles enemies, attack either casts weakness or disease or acid. upgraded version may poison enemies.
