Divine Guidance ( 33% ) vs, MassHaste ( 40% )

Well... I will yet again, show my Ultra newbiness... I would like someone to explain to me the difference between Mass Haste and Divine Guidance..

For example... when I cast mass haste with a 40% boost to all creatures, they move some yes.. but when I cast Divine Guidance 33% the unit almost always jumps right to the front of the line?? So how and why does the 33% seem to work better then the 40% ??

I was gonna cast Divine Guidance on my crossbowman with my swiftminded hero at start of battle.. but then it dawned on me.. wouldnt it be smarter to caste 40% boost on everyone instead of 33% on 1... but have never seen Haste bring a unit from the end of screen to front like the Divine Guidance does.

I am sure there is something simple I am missing.

Haste increases the initiative by the percentage, which means your units act more frequently.

Divine Guidance increases a unit's ATB by 0.33 (33%), bumping him/her/it up the line.

They SOUND similar, but they're actually very different in practice.

Atb is the place of a unit in the atb bar, initiative affects how fast or slow it moves in said bar. Bonus insight, divine guidance does not work on vampiric or magic immune units.

Cool!  Thanks for explaining that guys. I can see it now.

And now I am curious.. why does Divine Guidance not work on Vampiric Units?

Because divine guidance on a huge vampiric paladin stack would be imbalanced. And Nival would never!

Vampires are emo and do not respond to inspiration.
