On the other hand - why posting ERA version on one thread and patch to this version on other? But whatever - it's time for some update of the first post I guess.

I downloaded this just to test it and when you enable it in mods Fortress is still Fortress. The one in Era Mods/Maps thread, not the one in the main page, the one called Grove for Era 2.4 works perfectly. Everything is the same, it's only Bersy's fix added so you can use that one if you wish.

About "Grove for ERA 2.4" - I can't find it anywhere, where is it?

Is there any chance, that this town will be released as Mod for VCMI anytime soon?
It will be great, 'cause VMCI already has mods for Cove and Preserve.
The more towns are added, the more complicated and interesting the gaming becomes.

This town also have druids,so i think it will be a little repeat.

That's not a disaster. And these druids are different.
Also they can be renamed (like "Priests" or etc.).
The main profit is to have new town.

You can delete it in the Edit section by checking one option on the left.

Also I don't think we would release any VCMI version at this moment. Remember that Grove is not only graphics, units and statistics - there are also many new abilities that we can't really implement into VCMI due to lack of ERM language. But if anyone wants to make a Grove mod - you're welcomed.

Actually this town has also pegasi, unicorns, dwarves and treants, so it is a "little" repeat of Rampart.

Preserve Town was made for fun,I think it's not a real project for VCMI.
But Grove is a well-designed Town.

OK. I personally think, that creating mod for VCMI will reduce time consuming later, when ERM support will be added. And new town is better, that no new town. But it's your choice, after all.

I am new to Heroes 3 modding, I will try to begin ripping some monsters from .LOD and adding only them to VCMI.
If this will be easy enough, at least I will convert monsters.

PS Do monsters from Cove have sounds? Can you support table of their soundfiles for battle to easier search through LODs?
Or there are some utilities to look for sound files dependency?

Cool, the link is  still working, now I collected 3 Groves:-)
This BETA is slightly different from

In beta we have different silo, blacksmith, different dwellings on map.
And there is a tree near the bridge.

And there is a spider CWYVMN.def, that we don't see in later release.

PS I'm still looking for Darklok Groves:
these versions
Did they ever were released and downloaded by someone, or Darklok only showed them?
I also want to look at his W3 creatures in live.

I'm afraid that those screenshots are the only things left of grove. Everything else is lost.

Darkloke only did some creatures: grove keeper, hyppogryph and moutnain giant (as final versions) and many others but not good enough [as he stated]

ok so the first team created the creatues, town screens [which had some stages, gradually improving the enviroment], adventure map dwellings etc. After they stopped, Darkloke and Cris took over the project. All creatures were redone [and many more, that could be used in another town, Thicket, a town with corrupted autumn enviroment] but Darkloke found a better way to import the models from world of warcraft into heroes 3 and only these were final:

since the new models were way different from the town's landscape feeling they decided to also make a new town's view. The polish team got the materials either from darkloke and cris, either from the 1st team [don t know for sure and it doesnt matter anymore]. So whatever you see in this mod is actually from the 1st team's project, they only revived it. Whatever darkloke has from the 1st team's work, the polish team has it too.The 1st team is out, darkloke and cris are out too. Darkloke didn't release anything at all.

I personally asked k1ng for the latest screen and he said that it's lost [the same old problem with the 'broken hdd' which i still don't believe].

i hope there aren't any more misunderstandings.
