Yes, but it doesn't benefit form Fire mastery like the others do.
My favoritve (visually) is Lightning Bolt btw.

I like the spectacular effects of chain lightning & those fried skeletons on its picture in the spellbook
{you also never know where it will bounce to}
But my favourite must now be empowered armageddon...doesn't destroy warmachines woot 
(thinking of ways to abuse this now )

Implosion because it`s visually awesome.
Same can be said about Armageddon - the power of the spell can really be seen.
