Awesome.

There is actually a quarian who dates humans on one of the planets on ME2. Doesn't sound to be going too well.

I didn't find the elevator rides that bad when there was a conversation or some news. Loved some of them. Like Wrex's "An explosion once in a while keeps the mind sharp." or some other witty one. I remember you even got a quest or two from listening to the news on the citadel elevator.

ZP is boring. The guy has lost his innovation and is just recycling.

And like I said, cosmetic changes. I think had I killed Wrex I would have thought differently. But otherwise, cosmetic.

I read some reviews about it and... wow. At the end you got a overall +/- score
Quote:

+beatiful world
+fascinaing, consuming story
+great pace
+incredible dialogues, wonderful characters
+superb graphics

-the ending is slightly less epic than in ME
-no Wrex

He mentioned that it took him 25hours to complete it, yet somehow that's not a big enough minus to note it.
Also that there is almost no skill tree. Not a minus though, who likes to pick skills in a RPG??
Same with equipment - who has time to pick stuff? It's very annoying, ask anyone who played Diablo. Definetly not a minus.

I think they didn't pay him enough to put those on the plus side though

edit:
It was one of the most adjective-overstuffed texts I've ever read.

So far I don't agree with you guys at all. I think the game is awesome.

I'm only away from the game cuz I have to write a CV so... back to work. Bye bye! I'm gonna be in a different world for some days!

At least someone likes it.

I'm saying that it's just made for mainstream fanboys.

Then I'm proud of being a mainstream gamer, this is Mass Effect 1 improved imo. I love the battle system, it's much more exiting than before, and the characters are very interesting... Mordin's my wingman

Spoilers in RED.

Yeah! Tali's interested in me! Awesome, and here I was talking about Tali romance a page ago... thanks for not spoiling it Joonas! I'd stay with Liara if she hadn't changed so much... seems more interested in revenge rather than our relationship... Tali's the only one I can trust in this damn galaxy...

Gonna continue playing as soon as I get home! Woohoo!

Actually, I'm replaying the game on insanity. And now I find that the battle system works pretty well. When I played it through with hard it didn't work for me at all. Quite strange. Maybe I got used to it or maybe it's the fact that all enemies have shields, barrier or armour that makes it work so much better. And enemies with assault rifles bite. Don't charge them. Not a good idea.

Mordin is your wingman? He sucks.
Miranda is a must in your team. The bonus she gives to weapon damage is a must. Without it I find it frustrating to play at this difficulty.
Biotic with lift ability is pretty much must for crowd control. Sure you have to shoot the shields out first but then it's carnage. Doesn't seem that they take damage from the drop though.

But somehow I still can't get no connection to the characters. Only I could get some last time was Tali. Seems like it this time too.

Garrus is still a jackass.

Mordin might suck in combat but he drops such awesome comments it's worth it.

"Shephard's combat abilities impressive, determination equally impressive, enemies don't last long."

Yeah my wingman, tell that Jackass who she's dealing with. (pun alert, commence selfflaming)

Right now I use Thane and Tali though, Unstable Warp is awesome and Tali's drones are great distractions. I like to be patient and wait for the enemy to become seperated from each other, I then use Charge and close on them to kill with one shot from a Claymore Shotgun powered by Warp Ammo.

I only play on Normal so far though, I found it enjoyable.

That's why I loved Tali and Wrex in the first game. They threw awesome comments. maybe that's why I couldn't get contact with the characters in this. No lift discussion and much less random comments.

Warp ammo is good, I use that myself. First chip away the shields with machine gun and then
"BOOM HEADSHOT!", with assassins cloak on warp ammo and headshot means around three times the damage. If that's not enough another headshot or incinerate usually does the trick.

The battles are much better with some tricks into them. The armour/shield/barrier on every enemy is a good one.

Infiltrator sounds fun... I might try that later.

Right now I'm just curious how Unstable Warp will react with a bunch of people sucked into a singularity, so I'll probably play an Adept next time.

My main problem with the game is how lame the anomaly-missions (or whatever they're called. You know, the ones you find on planets while scanning.) are. Get in, shoot some badguys, leave. Barely any story at all, just mindless shooting...

Fortunately shooting is fun but the sidemissions in ME1 at least had some decent dialogue.

But that's about the only real complaint I have so far.

yeah, the anomaly missions suck, Remember the ghost ship in ME1?
That ruled. Now all secondary missions suck big time. They were just too lazy to put them in. No recurring characters in ME3 then...

That's right, they really don't have much to base the third game on now... most of ME2's awesomeness lies in recurring characters so... I dunno. I still trust Bioware.

I wonder how the game is when you don't import a character... must be extremly boring to not get all the references. Well ME1 rocks too so it's really not a loss to buy that before playing ME2.

No I actually don't remember any ghostship... maybe I missed it.

Well, I personally think that ME2 is great, but is more action oriented than the more story oriented ME1. Personally, I think Dragon Age Origins beats ME2 overall, but ME1 is slightly better than DAO in terms of storyline, but not action. Now I hear Bioware is gearing up for a Jade Empire 2, and if don't know the first one, play it. It's amazing, but kinda short like Fable. You can beat it easy in 12 hours with all of the side quests. Good thing is that there are mods for JE1. I wanna check out JE2 now.

Played for 60 hours now

First playthrough took me 40 hours, I was better at my second one and it only took me about 20.

Both playthroughs were awesome and I've still only played with one character, one class and one gender, one personality.

Depends on the difficulty. Insanity took me 28 hours. Hard took me 20 I think.

During my last playthrough I was kinda obsessed with making sure everyone survived during the suicide mission, having people die on me kinda felt like a failure. Saving everyone felt like the only way to really complete the game, there is even an achievement for it.

But war is hell damnit, this game is too cuddly! I'm almost considering playing through the game again and making sure that some crewmates die. (Jack, I'm looking at you you whiny little...) That way I might have some more drama in ME3.

I fear that ME3 will become kinda boring if I make a completely "perfect" playthrough in ME2 and import it... what sort of consequences will I have to face? What can they accuse me of? Will Bioware even care about my choices?

Bioware has really managed to create something special with Mass Effect... I'm sitting here and worrying about how my choices in a game will affect another game that will not arrive in years... jeez.

They got you mate.
I had everyone survive too.

But I gave the station to cerberus.

But I should replay the game before the third one comes out...
But they made it so annoying to play through again!
