"Delete object" - the map editor

I am trying to make a sequence, where some rocks are deleted, when a certain player owns four certain towns. But it does not work..!

How to do it?

I have made a placed even like this:
___

Name:
Dark Gate Bomb

Only run if current player is:
Red, Green and orange
human

Script:

Conditional action
If
Current player is human and Current Player owns the town named "East Watch" and Current Player owns the town named "North Base" and Current Player owns the town named "South Base" and Current Player owns the town named "West Watch"
___

I have used the "and"
___

Then
Delete adventure objects under markers named "Dark Gate Bomb"

Else
Do nothing
___

And I have placed bombs on the rocks, that I want destroyed and chosen the placed event "Dark Gate Bomb".

What have I done wrong, and what might I have to do else/more? Can somebody help me?

i guess you should have been placed 'bomb' marker instead of event

I did place a bomb on the rocks and not an event.

But I chose "placed event", when I made the script.

You should not choose the placed event, that's means when your army or something stand at the place you appointed, the event would happen, you should choose continuous event instead of that.
By the way, about the map editor I recommend you can read the help of the editor, sometime it's useful.

Thank you for the help! Now it works and the map is actually finished, yay! Just testing it now

,That's all right, I'm also making campaign now, now I am doing my second map of the campaign, it's really a long time from I made the first of that.(I am lazy),And now I start again, to me the most hard work is filling the scenario text, just like write a novel, I just found how less words I have when I doing that.

Hehe, for me, the hardest thing is definitely the landscape - you just have to place SO many things! Sadly, I think I tend to place to much But trees, mountains, flowers, vegetation, powerups, oh God, there's so much to remember and place right! And it just takes so much time!

But yes, the writing is difficult, too! Especially because english isn't my language either, I'm from Denmark

This map is just a singlemap, though... But I do work on a campaign, too, but it is just half forgotten, since it's been more than a year ago that I worked on it Sad, because I did get to make a lot of maps to it!

ahh, actually I've seen some maps that others made, they are really crowded but still very nice. But I know the big problem of the crowded maps is some path or something else will be hiden at others back, so I try to make the map more clear£Ĵand like you said, the space still not enough, everything's here, so I have to choose some and abandon some.
And about the size, my second map of the campaign, the first time I made it when I finished the all things except the character and the script, then I found the map is too small, so I check the size, it's a small size instead of the medium which I wanted, so I have reset the map and do a new one with my tears. It's really crap. So after I finished the basic terrain, I leave it for 2 weeks and now began again.

Too bad about the size...! It really sad, when you find, that it is too small...! The map that I have just finished, is actually too small too (medium, should have been large or x-large)... A lot of the things just seems put together, because now I had planed it to be like this and I didn't want to delete it all by that time

But while playing it, it doesn't seem bad, actually. The only real problem is a teleporter, where the entry is "hidden" behind a Shrine of Magic, so when you click to times at the teleporter-entry, just accidentally make your hero go for the shrine instead. Pretty annoying, so I think that I'll try and move it a little.

But I do plan to place my map online and hope that someone will try it and place a critique...

About this problem I wondering was the entry been blocked by the shrine? If it is, I think the better doing is when you place the object on the map, click the Toggle passability display button (which is a button with a red base and a word "stop"on it).It will show whether the army can pass through.
And by the way I really want to try your map to see if something I can use for reference.Cuz sometime I open a original campaign or some maps to see how others doing that.

Wow, cool, thank! I will be happy to send it to you, when it's done!

Now I've just got the problem with connecting the change of purple player to red (it's only one army), when standing on a placed event And giving some peasants to a army, when it has killed som certain skeletons...

About the teleporter, no, that's not the problem. It's just that you might accidentally make the hero go to the shrine of magic instead of the teleporter, if you are not very careful, because they are so close

Haha, I feel so stupid This is the third time I am asking how to do something in the editor...

But a question once again...

If you want a player to get a message a certain amount of days after getting a town (got the town through the "Change Owner") - how to?

I want purple player to get a "displayed message" 14 days after getting the town Bumbletree.

I have really tried to work with it, tried to read on the website "Celestial Heavens", which someone once gave me the link to, and the "help" to Heroes Campaign Editor - either way, I still haven't managed to make it work, even though I did get a lot of ideas how too

I am sure it has been used in quiet a lot (okay, at least a couple) of different campaigns - I just can't figure out how

It's really a good question, and I already worked it out .You can do like that: add a result as "set numeric variable" that the variable = "Current day", and then build a continuous event "conditional action", in this event, set the objects as "if 'player own current town' AND 'current day = variable(which you set previous)+14" then "Display Message". And I made a example,  if I explained not clearly, maybe you can search the example if you want.

What kind of event am I to make?

The first one...

Is that in the town or in the map properties? And is it a standard-, trigg.-, contin. event?

And the same about the continous event - town or?

And thank you! Again

Here you said the "got the town through the "Change Owner"" so I guess you wanna got town by the event change owner, so I said add a result in the event which you made for change owner. Is that make sense?

Never mind, I just made it work, I must have understood what you meant, even though I felt confused

Did you want me to make a triggerable even with the "Set Numeric Variable" and then the conitous event both in the town? That how I did it anyways

But I have really been close to make it work, having played with all those things you mentioned - just not in the way, I had to, haha.

The first is decided by the method of got the town, for example, if you want to take a town by time or event, you can make a time or continuous events in the town properties, which is like "Day N" or if "player XXXX" then "change the owner" AND "set Numeric variable"---> variable = "current day";
If just want an army to capture the town, you can do it in the towns' standard event ---> "capture", then set the event as "set Numeric variable"---> variable = "current day".
Sorry for my English can not explain clearly.

It's okay, I got the main point I, too, have problems explaining sometimes, hehe.

But I just made a whole new event (didn't want to mess up the original ones) and it worked thanks to you, so that's great

Wow, I nearly have finished a quarter of an XL-map in just four days - amazing, I thought it would take weeks, haha.

This thread should be renamed "Ritcha's Map Editor Questions Thread".

New problem, actually the exactly same as the last one, but somehow the Editor must be messing it all up...

Now, I want the purple player to lose after 2months, when the orange player has been defeated. Orange player is nothing but a little army quarding a prison.

I tried to do like this:

Orange Army propertiers:

Runs no matter which player it is (works with my town like that).

Triggerable condition:

What type of action do you  wish to create?: Set Numeric Valuble:
Enter variable name: Barbarian_Lose
New value: [Current Day]

Done.

Continous event:

Runs no matter which player it is (the same with my town, it works) -have tried to scratch "Only During Owners Turn"
What type of action do you wich to create?: Conditional action

If:
Orange player is eliminated AND [current day] EQUALS 'Barbarian_Lose' + 56

Then:
Display message
Purple Player Loses (chose "LOSE")

Done.

Is it not possible? I tried to do it with the town, add the lose with the message - and there it worked. I am confuuuuuused....!

Last thing, before anyone tries to explain to me - is it possible to delete a "lose"? For example, now I want to make purple player lose within those two months, but only if I can delete that lose, if they defeat red player within those two months. I thought it was possible, but after looking a little at the scripts I have come to doubt it...

Eh...I'm not sure whether the events you used was under Army properties ---> the standard events ---> defeated, then set numeric valuble, and balabala... if it is I can't figure it out, if not, try it. Because the orange just have one army, that should be easiest way.
And the second question...eh.....I think used the "Remove script" may reach the effect you want.
