Ohforf: This is where the argument ends, because we shall never agree on this:
I think a feeling is an inherent part of you.
You think it's not.
There.

Yes, it states that it's better not to date than to date poorly

See? Your theory naturally assumes that dating or going out there looking for ladies, guys or both depending on how you roll doesn't go well. So you're saying that if you don't date poorly Pillar-theory isn't applicable. Go figure. But really why am I posting here it doesn't change anything. Still it's funny reading your explanations.

Oh and usually you'll date poorly if you don't date in the first place since you know... the whole experience thing gets kicked out of the equasion in your pillar idea.

Then you've misunderstood me, or not clearly defined what you mean by the term 'you'. Here's my view:
Feelings are an inherent part of our body and thereby a part of our life, though we don't choose it. We however do, to a large degree, choose how we decide to react upon feelings. That choice means that no matter what you choose, it's still 'you'.

The first statement is true - my theory does assume that, which, from my observations, is generally true. But I don't see how the second statement follows from the first.

Yes, experience may be useful, but compatibility is more important than experience. Plus experience is often code for "look at how many people I've dated"! Which of course means it's more likely that the next person one will date will also become an ex.

I liked reading your post, though I didn't completely agree with everything.

Sorry for the late reply, my net is still down at home.

Thanks for reading, glad you enjoyed it . I understand if you disagree on some parts. It's just a personal take on things. I don't think anyone would be able to fully agree on a topic like this, it's almost like a religeous discussion. Far too many variables to discect in order to come to a common conclusion...

Will see about replying to your other post with the link you gave...
