@ddpro, do you use english version of WoG or chinese? Maybe on chinese the txt files from a wog file do not overwrite the original ones?
On english one they do.

Another option would be to delete the ZEOBJTS.txt from the .rar data then unrar everything and run update.

@aciddragon: it is more complex when you got to know game flaws. If you have a creature upgraded because it won a fight, you can fix this bonus to the hero who carried it with "w" variable but what happen when the creature is exchanged between two different heros? It loses the bonus.

Indeed, I meant a hero-oriented bonus, not a creature-oriented, but then there is a trigger for meating with another hero. Then we can check if the heroes have the same owner and check their creatures before and after the meating and eventually pass/exchange the bonuses with w-vars.

The problem arises with combining creatures with different bonuses (say 10 angels from Hero1 have a bonus of +6 and 3 angels of Hero2 have a bonus of +4. What would the resulting stack have?), But then again it's a matter of concept, not ERM.

So yes, if you want creature oriented bonuses, especially if it is dependant on the ammount of creatures, it does get complicated, but then it is not the fault of ERM, "game flaws" or sth else.

The point is - you can do sth like that and make it working for AI, as well as for the entire game. However there are more and less complicated concepts.

Yes, as I said I am not enough ERM experienced to create a full mod. Needs deep study of it and time. ATM I don't feel being enough skilled to start on such task. (I have only 1 year ERM experience)

I guess it doesn't matter anyway

You have done something really big. You said what your goal is, you have been working on it almost constantly without a time of "oh... nothing new? is this project dead?" and you have finished it in under 6 months without any "team", just support. Now which WoG fan can say the same?

However, as I stated in Acid Cave, the downside of the project is that those changes can be played in one map only. I know and understand that there was no other way, but it is still a downside.

And my personal opinion about the direction of fan mods is a different story . (Hell, maybe I'll even try out your mod afterall )

Congratulations again and I hope this is not the last of your work . It's great that WoG is still alive despite the 5 years waiting time for a new version.

I am not good at new towns. Give me an idea and I will make a story, map and scripts. My skill in photoshop is basic and not experienced with implementing new creatures scripts. I would not be a great help. Besides that I am only excited when there is a story to develop, characters etc. Making a new town is for graphic professionals.

@I don't think Corewog is interested by my skill or played any of my maps. They have other priorities, which require a specific specialization.

40-50?!? You must be kidding.. I would say 0,1%.

What makes you think that much work is done? They have showed us what? Nothing.
Over 5 years has passed, and no news.. WoG is dead.

Hmm... You should make a map based on Rambo film.

Seriously - Why don't make something that is very simple to play and is funny too?

Yes, it is hard to predict how much work was done. Usually when things get hot, everyone is excited and starts talking and showing around. I see little activity in WoG forums, so I don't know. My bet is that we will end with 3.58. Not a bad thing, it is working more or less.

@Mitabrin: for me Atlantis is simple and funny. Played it?

Since we're all throwing ideas around, why not make a map based on Star Wars? With your skills it should be possible to recreate the Clone Wars

Ayeron - Actually I was wandering about is it possible to ban most of features of game and left only two towns and some creatures and change them into SW climate...

Yes (actually I am playing it right now) but I meant other type of "simpleness".

The StarWars music is awesome and could be in itself a reason to do such map. The problem are the models. In Starwars universe there is a lot of SCI-FI layout and it is hard to use it with Heroes editor. If a guy like Alex-ander could do the models, then it would be possible. Until that, hard to find anything correct around. WOW models would not fit in.

As it took me 1000+ hours to do Atlantis, I was thinking to make sequels, following next episodes, so I can use the same lod and expand the work to other maps without having to start everything from scratch. But certainly not so soon.
