Create a new faction
K, I know lots of similar threads exist, but thought they were all wierd and not that friendly, so decided to make a new one.
Anyway, you can post your faction idea here.
Rules:
* It must follow the heroes 5 format of 7 tiers, 1-2 upgrades each (you can choose to either use the tribes of the east format, or the same format as all the other heroes games) etc.
* It must be an entry that ubisoft could consider picking ideas from, so only serious factions, and no weird factions with too many names most people don't know about, or a whole faction based on a small concept (like a monk faction) or similar.
My entry:
Desert faction (repost from another thread, although a bit changed)
1. Scarab - Golden Scarab/Tomb Scarab
2. Sand Worm - Burrower/Wadjet
3. Mummy - Pharaoh/Plague Mummy
4. Scorpion Man - Scorpion Lord/Scorpion Queen
5. Desert mage - Visionary/Seer
6. Sphinx - Guardian Sphinx/Jewelled Sphinx
7. Roc - Phoenix/Thunderbird
Scarab: Ignores 20% of opponent's armor
Golden scarab: Ignores 20% of enemy armor, and has the "golden veins" ability, which is an activated ability. When activated, its stats are increased, but it drains your gold equal to a percentage of your income every turn.
Tomb scarab: Ignores 40% of the oppnent's armor
Sand worm: Has "digger", which is similar to being a flyer. Instead of walking it digs itself under the ground, walks underground, and re-emerges at the target location.
Burrower: Also has digger. In addition, it has "burrow", which works like invisibility. It buries itself underground, and can walk wile underground (it digs tunnels). Only emerges when it attacks.
Wadjet: Is a shooter with ranged penalty. It spits. When it shoots at an enemy which is 3 tiles away or less, the target is pushed back a tile. It also has digger.
Mummy: Tankish walker. Has cursing attack
Pharaoh: Fagile shooter. Has "call servants" which calls up some small skeletons in fine clothes, who surround the pharaoh, creating a wall. The stack size depend on the pharaoh stack size. They are very weak, and have very low initiative and speed and health. Pharaoh also has cursing atack, which works with being ranged.
Plague mummy: Has desert plague, which weakens the enemy it attacks. It also deals damage every turn. If a plagued enemy ends its turn next to an ally, the ally will be infected too. Has good stats compared to the pharaoh.
Scorpion man: Half scorpion, half man. Has some poisonous attack
Scorpion lord: No enemy retaliation, poisonous attack, great stats
Scorpion queen: During the start of a battle 2 stacks of scorpion men are summoned, each being 25% ofthe stack size of the queen. These dissapear at the end of the battle. The queen's stats are quite weak.
Desert mage: Shooter, can cast shifting sands. It's a spell that when cast, switches the place of all creatures on the battlefield to a random location, making it very messy.
Visionary: Shooter, ca cast shifting sands and blessing of the nile, which is like divine guidiance.
Seer: Can cast sandstorm, which is like shifting sands, but also deals minor damage to all non-desert creatures.
Sphinx: Has smash, which makes it attack 2 tiles at once. Also has statue, which greatly increases defence and magic resistance when defending/waiting.
Guardian sphinx: Has a chance to cause earthquake on attack, which stuns enemies close to its attack. The closer the creature, the bigge the stun. Same abilities as sphinx
Jewelled sphinx: Same as sphinx. Also has 50% magic-proof (100% while in statue mode). It also drains mana from all creatures on the map eery turn. The close to the sphinx, the greater the drain.
Roc: Generic flyer
Phoenix: Same abilities as in H5
Thunderbird: Has "Thunderstorm". Whenever it flies over an enemy, lightning will be cast from its wings and strike it. So:
TTooxoooxoo
TTooooxoooo
The T's are the thunderbird, the o's are empty spots and the x's are enemies. If the thunderbird would fly to the spot furthest to the right, and attack the enemy that would be adjacent to it, it would cast lightning bolts on all 3 enemies on the way there, then attack that enemy.
Also, when it attacks, it has a chance to cast chain lightning. This ca hurt your own creatures.

Basically just a place where you can post your faction ideas. If there'd be an individual thread for each it'd clog up the board
