He may not deserve such a high rank in WCS standings, but he totally deserves to be at Blizzcon. 1st, semifinal and semifinal in WCS America, not bad huh?

And yet we have seen a lot of really memorable games on this map. A lot more than on some other maps we had for a long time.
Starcraft is ever evolving game, just because we had this map like 1 year and half ago, doesn't mean it will be played the same way it was back then.

I doubt we'll see very different games, metagame hasn't changed that much (WMs are the same as when it was played for example...)

News time!
The Korean region is set for massive changes in 2015. Both GOMeXP and SpoTV will be running leagues for a total of six major tournaments in the year.
Also there are no region restrictions on GSL and or SpoTV tournaments, with players from any region able to compete.
In another news KeSPA has made an announcement regarding the next season of Proleague as well as the KeSPA Cup. In short
- 10 Months Proleague!
- KeSPA encourages international teams to seek partnerships with KeSPA teams in Proleague!
- There will be three KeSPA cups in 2015!
- Startale finally joins proleague!
Wohoo, lets hope this blows some wind under Starcraft 2 wings, looking excellent so far

Day of great SC2 news indeed!
On the GSL/Spot TV tournaments: while the overall prizepool is the same (175k won), being splitted in two and with the winner taking less money than this year makes it much better for the korean scene. More qualifiers and more spots = more chances to get money for the players.
Let's not forget that this year some players'd fail to make into Code A/S and then spend 2 good months doing nothing (maybe keeping Proleague bench warm ). With this system it won't be that sore...
And remember that some WCS AM/EU players will come back next year too...
10 months Proleague sounds FUN, and 3 KeSPA Cups in conjuction with the other announcement leaves the Korean scene in a much healthier state. Happy for them

Well, the day ends with a blast: WCS 2015 plans explained!
In short, WCS AM & EU are merged into one, single event where Round 32 is played offline, and Ro16 and forward is condesed in one weekend (yay). And the acknowledged Korea changes. Sounds neat
They still force to use the same WCS Map Pool, urgh

Did you guys watch the round of 16? I missed it. If any interesting matches I could watch. Results are a bit saddening, Zergs still lag so far behind. But reminiscent of early HotS there is Life carrying the torch Hope is alive
I might be going to a barcraft event to watch some games, play some Heartstone in the meantime and then drink and watch. Let's see!

This is ridiculous. I understand that they're lacking good players with the region lock but please, half of the r16 won't have the money to fly to whichever side they'll be holding it...

I was dissapointed to know that soO lost to TaejA.
Life vs Zest was painful, that Swarm Host game took away all the passion that I had regained in the whole month, blergh

Yes Life lost, but it was a bloody mistakefest.
Not like Zest didn't make mistakes (too Tempest heavy, Tempest suck against anything not air massive), but Life played much worse. I mean, building what, 50 spores, and not moving them to the only expansions that'll give him money? Really? And despite that, he still totally destroyed Zest army three times with just Corruptors wtf
It was painful to watch

Zest running out of gas because he lost the Golden Armada three times.
Life running out of minerals because he spent a snow ton on static defense (which he didn't use properly, urgh) and not expanding at a good rate.
It was stupid lol
