Tribute to Salamandre/Valery
Hi all,
I just played one of the greatest maps "The Empire of the World III".
Just finished this fantastic map in 111 (4 months) days, with a score of 496. I won all fights without any losses, up to the two final battles (Commodus and magic garrison). I'll try those last two fights maybe later to beat without any losses, but feels at the moment (need probably some more game time) like nearly impossible.
Keep making maps Salamandre/Valery, you're truly one of the greatest, if not the greatest.
I have 4 saves for every month, which contain all daily saves.
So you can pick a save, and play/practice some of the (really tough) fights.
Like I said, they have all been done without any losses, with the exception of the last two.
Each month is about 36 MB.

Glad to hear you liked it, it was my first map. Played thousand of SOD/WOG maps before and pasted in what I liked most. There are tiles from Empire of Darklord, borrowed scripts from Vlaad/Fnord, features from Chaser-famous chinese map-, layouts from Tang Wen (Fiery Phoenix) and many others. In all, a happy mixture of what we like more, scripted gentle and softly. A very hard map to complete under 5 months, congrats.

I too just finished The Empire of The World III and it was fantastic. Did not do quite as good as the author of this post - 6 Months. Also finished Stargate Atlantis and it was literally "out-of-this WORLD". I've been playing HOMM3 for years - at least 9 - and just started WOG this spring. WOW what enjoyment. Oblivion, Fallout 3, Neverwinter Nights 2, and many other just sit on the shelf - can't get any playing time. Hats of to some excellent maps - better that the ones for sale!!!

I just wanna say a general WOG praise.
IT'S SO COOL!!!
Yeah, many things are HARD to do, and many yet impossible - but, hey, it's a 1000% improvement over HOMM3!!!
And it's FREE!!!
Also, if I'd spend some week's time on it, I'm sure I'd end up with remarkable scenarios too.
I'm just too lazy. 
Anyways, HURRAY!!!

Not an improvement to H3, but an alternative for those willing to find more RPG features in a strategy game. I am big fan of RPG and strategy as well, having them both in one game is exciting.
