New heroes spinoffs:HORW
HORW:Heroes of the Real World!(yes an answer to bixie and jiriki weird spinoffs!)
Durning the century XXI the world is divided in 8 races who want the control of teritories of others races.
1.Barracks
Aka: The soldiers
Motto:All in name of justice!
Associated colors:green,brown(camouflage colors )
Key symbols:the machinegun,the eagle
Description:The federal soldiers want to conquer the others factions in the name of justice.They have a variety of ranged weapons(guns!!) and a heavy training.They are the good boys,who want to save the world.

I would be a little unsure about including Al-qauda as a particular faction. Terrorists would be a better term, as you could have a wide varity of cultures and backgrounds, as well as it not being quite so current.
other than that, looks entertaining.

I suppose there's a similar situation with the mafia, as that has very strong italian roots. I think possibly something like "the crime lords" or "the organised crime" or something like this.

I think mafia is perfectly welll...everyone knows what it means and there's a chinese one, an italian one, a russian one...

For your number 8 a few suggestion:
The Greenies: We all now them - servived protesting hippies, who want to make the world a peaceful better place - and are vegan  They would probably fight together with some "free" animals, or use biological things - allways without hurting anything^^
The tyrants: A mixed-units faction. It are the troops of any tyrant and a mix of soldiers, factory, hideout, mafia, businessmen,...
The Anarchists/Punks: A "group" of losely bound aggressive subjects, not so strong in terms of training and weaponry, but massive in numbers. Possible alliances with greenies, terrorists and hideout, enemies of structured factions like soldiers, mafia and especially businessmen.

More nowadays than futuristic, but otherwise you're quite right.
...a futuristic version of heroes is "Heroes of Space and Planets" which is also somewhere here in the altar
