Divine Divinity: Original Sin was the best game I played in the recent 3 years. Loved the story, the characters, graphics, the combat tactics was really something!

DD: OS 2 comes out soon too.

Still, Borderlands 2 with a side of WoW, and some indie titles. peaking of which:

Tried out Halcyion 6, which is a strategy game, FTL meets X-com in essence. Pretty fun.

Also, Starbound. and some Stardew Valley as well.

Playing Final Fantasy Tactics (PSP version). A great game with one major flaw: turn-based strategy really doesn't work well without a mouse. Imagine if in HoMM you had to use the keyboard to select which tile to move to - it'd get tedious quickly. It's so easy to misclick, too.
But from an aesthetic perspective, the game is great.

Hmm I've played Japanesse TBS games without a mouse and I never found it difficult (and I've played a lot of them). I think it's a matter of getting used to...

Torment: Tides of Numenera. So far it looks even more of an interactive book than a game than even Planescape. Story, setting and atmosphere are all what they should be (from what I can judge for 2 hours) but I somewhat fear that it will turn to be a good story masquaraded as a game instead of a game with a good story. Reviewers everywhere - not the 15 year olds who complain that this is not Diablo mind you - seem to also hint at something along these lines. But let's see...

Risen, a RPG from 2009.
A good game with some flaws but a lot of feeling. And lot of fun.

I mean, where else can you sell weed within a monastery?

I have played "Risen"

finished on max pos. difficulty set, and I don't remember any "weed and monastery". And yeah, game little bit sux. Morrowind + Bloodmoon is much more better.

Pretty sure, you could sell the...herb? (Braukraut on german, maybe I used wrong translation) to Hemlar. And he is a novice of the mages of the...Volcanic Fortress!
My mistake but I follow the Don most of the times anyway. That is more my style.

But I do not agree about being Morrwind + Bloodmoon much more better.
I have played them, I have the Game of the Year Edition actually and they are good but for me they always felt more then just a little empty, as soon as you got outside of the cities. Inside them was not much better as well. This game could have used much more NPCs.

In terms of skills and abilities on the other hand...

Herb - something like that I remembered, but if it may be an injustice quest when you need to harm innocents, or to steal something, etc - I have doubts that I have completed it.

Is that those herb? Anyway, you are truly wrong about Morrowind, there is a much more npc outside the city, than you probably think, and a side-quests etc, than in he Risen, and they are much more interesting. Even Oblivion is better than Risen in this case. I have explored almost 100% of Morrowind, Bloodmoon and Oblivion, and of course Risen virtual world (completed the all side-quests that I have found)
In terms of story, atmosphere, game-world - Morrowind is the best from the all above mentioned games, I think it is even a bad idea to compare Risen in this case to Morrowind .
Risen looks like a linear platformer, or something like that, comparing to Morrowind which is more like a Baldur's Gate.

But this is of course, only imho.

So I started playing The Witness today because humble monthly. I got it fully expecting to hate it. I like the idea of puzzle games and I've played a few that I mostly enjoyed, but I hate it when a game makes me feel dumb. So far it feels pretty formulaic, but the visuals are quite soothing.

I meant this:

That is herb. Or weed, that is the name used for the insert code at least. No idea how they translated it ingame.
You could sell it to Robart (they guy who lives above the camp of the Don) in return for 50 exp and 70 Gold as many times as you can get 10 plants together, for example.

I have played Morrowind many, many times, lots and lots of hours, I joined every guild, house and so on at least 3 times (do not know about quests) but maybe I have played it for too long. It just does not give me anything anymore.

Somethin like that remembering, but nothin interesting indeed. Now you can image, if you played in Risen for the same amount time like in Morrowind . As I said, Morrowind is more like BG, and Risen is more like Idk, Asterix And Obelix SEGA-platform game   .

Heresy. I prefer playing it with a control over a mouse anytime.

But the major problem with that game, or 2 major problems you could say, are: speed tweaking and brave/faith tweaking. By tweaking I mean some abilities that raise/lower speed permanently (in a battle) and abilities that raise/lower faith and brave permanently (in and out of battle).

Given that many abilities are based on brave and faith attributes, if you tweak them enough, there's a samurai ability that can make you block around 96% of any incoming attack. Breaking or boosting speed will make your character act a couple of times before enemy or make an enemy almost never take action. So, these are the points most mods address. Many of those makes that brave and faith cannot be meddled permanently (lasting after after battle) and those which would implement speed, just add haste status, which is temporary. There are also a range of skills and things that could be much more interesting.

Regardless, I love that game.

FFT might be one of the games I most played to this day. A couple of months ago I was testing one of those mods.

You don't know the specs of the game or your don't know if yours fit into them? Specs are:

Minimum System Requirements

OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570 or AMD FX-6350
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 2 GB, AMD Radeon 7850 2 GB
Hard Drive: At least 55 GB of free space
DirectX: DirectX 11

Recommended System Requirements

OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD FX-8350
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 3 GB, AMD RX 480 4 GB
Hard Drive: At least 55 GB of free space
DirectX: DirectX 11

You could just do a bit of research and compare what you have in mind. But as far as Bioware is concerned, I'd think their optimization is flexible.

We still play this with friends in a local area network from time to time, great game!

I started playing Duelyst, it's a card game but instead of cards your minions become units on a strategic boardgame, Great tactical game and games only take a short while to play, I really hope this will be ported to mobile phones or tablets soon!
