Read Dead Redemption 2 seems to be what everyone shapes it up to be. A masterpiece. Incredible attention to detail (snow falling from tree branches when you approach them etc), voice-acting, music, touches like an option to easily switch on a cinematic camera when having longer horse-riding sequences and the list goes on and on. Oh, did I mention there's a fully implemented FPP mode if you prefer to play the game this way?

It all comes down so organically, everything fits together with the right amount of depth while still being intuitive (things like hunting game for instance). A bit overwhelming at first, but it'll come down.

Well I'm not even out of the first chapter yet (still needed to complete DoS 2 yesterday), but I already seen enough to justify my opinion. There were already gunfights, search missions, man vs. nature moments, drama and even jokes. Currently I kinda feel like I'm looking at/playing an interactive "The Revenant" movie (atmosphere+surivival+music). I shudder to think what else is in store for me...

If you guys own a console, you owe it to yourself to expierience this game firsthand (or wait till a hopefull PC release).

Xenonauts

Nahhh...Back in 1994 LOVED the first UFO in my Amiga. But this one is not creating the same feelings. Uninstall...
Make me hungry though for XCOM-2, since i really enjoy the first remake.

...and have my eye on PHOENIX POINT when it comes out.

Giving up on Pathfinder: Kingmaker for a bit.  The game has some odd design choices and its "kingdom" mode is a total mess.  If you are interested in trying it, I would wait until its first major patch is released.

Giving another chance for New Vegas.

Still has stuff that iritates me, but I begin to see the appeal of it.

Still think Metro has superior atmosphere though.
But I found a mod that ports my fav shotgun (the Duplet from Metro) into New Vegas. Shame there isn't a mod to upgrade said shotgun to it's 4 barrel carnage machine of awesome.

I have downloaded Destiny 2, given for free by Blizzard until November 18th, to see if I got to like the game. Haven't seen the usual ruckus on release, as usual of all late AAAs. Anyway, played it until the end, felt quite short on what I was expecting, also felt like too many microtransactions floating here and there, not really forcing, but too present to my taste. Besides, the game story felt a bit shallow and from what I read, DLCs present the full experience, and that doesn't work for me. Not expecting DLCs to complete the experience, but to go beyond the complete experience. All in all, it looks like a fun game for a while. But it looks too incomplete when it comes to Base version. Already uninstalled it.

It comes with a tiny twinge of disappointment, given I tried it with a small hope of relieving the still lingering Mass Effect Mess inside, but it didn't change anything. In fact, prompted back the awful feeling of ME: Andromeda could have been, but didn't.

So I wonder if, for fans of Destiny, if this was another franchise getting slowly killed by greedy management, like Blizzard's now new policy on Diablo.

Apparently some "big" titles are on a bad roll nowadays.

Fallout 76 is highly criticized for being an incomplete buggy mess and it's engine being too old/devs being too lazy to update it. Destiny 2 wasn't recieved too well etc. Either the hype is too big or there really is a bad trend in gaming industry.

Fortunately Red Dead Redemption 2 and Rockstar seem to be defying these trends. It's bloody fun and a great game.

These big messes are mostly orbiting online-multiplayer titles, or games trending towards those ends. Figures.

Bring back glorious single player epics.

Playing three freemium craps, CQ, King's Raid and World of Tanks: Blitz.

Some New Vegas and Arcanum(Tech Dwarf toon) on the side, with a little bit of Ori and the Blind forest, to which Galaad hooked me to.

The Latter is a beautiful game, artstyle and sound is absolutely glorious. Very frustrating to play with a keyboard though.

Rome Total War, or as a matter of fact, any war simulator.
Will never get bored of conquering the world on the hardest difficulties, and winning battles against armies of thousands with a single division.

Why am I even here though, lol

I recommend Buffalo Classic USB Gamepad for games where you can make do without analog sticks. It's a very basic copy of SNES controller, with good guality. It's not too pricey(under 20 euros) but the availability can be a bit of a problem(they're made in Japan) so you might have to order from Amazon(who's shipping is pricey and snow.) Mine doesn't work well with USB 3 ports though so make sure you've got a USB 2 on yours as well if you do get it.

I've been killing myself with Super Metroid Randomizers myself. Poor Stormy has had to deal with my complaints about epic seeds

Currently dividing my gaming time between CQ and Honkai impact 3rd on my phone (albeit I'm dedicating less time at the moment to them) and Soul Calibur VI, which still makes me giggle with sadistic glee when I play as my favourite genocidal dark knight Nightmare.

And still do the occasional dabbling on EU4, or as I call it Sicilia Universalis IV or Roma Universalis IV.

I've been looking at the 8bitdo controllers for the most part, but a purchase of any gaming peripheral will have to wait, since my social security services decided out of random that I owe 220 euros in mandatory health insurance fees. Gonna be an uphill battle that one. All the paperwork checks out in my favor.

8bitdo are wireless for all the good and bad that comes with it. Obviously superior for coachgaming due to not being limited by the length of the cord but also heavier because of batteries and they have more latency due to signal processing. Also a bit pricey in my opinion but the ability to use them with original SNES/NES and SNES/NES Mini is pretty nice when applicable.

Yes, it is. But it is rather different from any other RTS. From wikipedia:

"Seven Kingdoms made departures from the traditional real-time strategy model of "gather resources, build a base and army, and attack" set by other RTS games. The economic model bears more resemblance to a turn-based strategy game than to the traditional "build-workers, and harvest-resources" system in games such as Command & Conquer, StarCraft, and Age of Empires.

The game features an espionage system that allows players to train and control spies individually, who each have a spying skill that increases over time. The player is responsible for catching potential spies in their own kingdom. Inns built within the game allow players to hire mercenaries of various occupations, skill levels, and races. Skilled spies of enemy races are essential to a well-conducted espionage program, and the player can bolster his or her forces by grabbing a skilled fighter or give one's own factories, mines, and towers of science, a boost by hiring a highly skilled professional. For instance, having a skilled Persian general can make capturing and keeping a Persian village much easier.

The diplomacy system within the game is akin to a turn-based game allowing players to offer proposals to another party in which they are able to choose either to accept or reject them. Each kingdom has a reputation and one suffers a penalty for declaring war on a kingdom with a high reputation - making a player's people more likely to rebel and more susceptible to bribery. Diplomatic actions include making war, proposing an alliance or friendship treaty, buying food, exchanging technologies, offering tribute/aid, and forging trade agreements. A ranking system allows all players to gauge the relative military and economic strengths of their allies and enemies, making alliances against the stronger players a natural option."
