I finished up Hexen 2.  I would love to see the Heretic/Hexen series get a reboot one of these days.  The medieval setting is great and I bet they could turn it into something magical.

I hope Graven, which is being touted as a spiritual successor to Hexen, turns out well.  They had a time-limited demo (could only be played until December 22; so stupid) that was oozing with theme and really captured the sense of dread you felt in Hexen.

So now on to either Strife, Heretic, or Quake 2.  I would say I'll work on beating Total War: Warhammer 2, but that'll never happen.  I keep restarting and trying new things.

I just finished Last of Us 2. Truly a masterpiece in video game story telling and a nice swan song for the PS4. Man, the PS4 had so many great titles, definitely one of the best, if not the best, game consoles in history.

how did you liked that mocapped sex scene? heard both characters were mocapped by using the same guy

Well this is fantastic, Mass Effect 1. My two favorite squadmates (the Quarian and the Krogan) I both specialized in shotguns, and both of them are stuck on their non-upgraded pencil dick pistols and there's no way to manually switch them over. Thank you so much for steamlining the experience by removing the ability for the player to control their own party.

Other than a bug that completely ruins the squadmate experience, it has been a great game.

In the battle for the best MMORPG theme park games, ESO really comes out on top. It has everything from a wealth of knowledge, beautiful areas, to endless exploration. Six years after launch, it has gotten even better! Combat has become much faster and more intense. Quests will leave you laughing, interested, and intrigued by the end of the quest line. If you are looking for a real theme, mmorpg ESO is my number one. Buy it once and own it I love it. I recommend adding a month. For only $15 you not only get access to all the DCs, but you also get $15 in crowns (especially in store for ESO gold currency), you can buy super cool pet mounts, etc. Plus, the craft package is worth just $15. The customer service blew me away, I actually entered a send request and sent a text !!!! Lovely wrote me within seconds and took care of my problem. This is almost unheard of.

after about 15 or so years, decided to give runescape another go. the newest version, not the 'old school'. Still a grindfest, but the new version has many quality of life improvements. some members only content has been released to f2p crowd and in general the game feels more fun to play.

most importantly some skills like mining is no longer a massive pain to level.

At one point I was very interested in entering the game. I see they did a good job with it and keep on improving, interesting gameplay and mechanics, plus their promo cinematics are really something, especially if you like the setting.

One of the games strongest points is probably it's lore, which has been refined over many years (a lot of the stuff comes from older, single player games). I even own some of the lore stuff in paper form and it is a great read, especially the short novellas you find in the games themselves which are simply well-written in themselves (especially those that are spread between a few tomes), even without the context of being a part of greater whole (which is still a big part of why the world-building is so good in ES games). The lore can be super-clogged, as there are even some time paradoxes there (which the devs needed to specify themselves as there was no way around it), and the ESO timeline in itself is pretty interesting as it takes place in a timeframe that I believe wasn't that much explored before so it is kinda squeezed in there (you don't find much info about those warring alliances like Ebonheart Pact in the mainstream games). There are people who criticize the lore for being a mess, which isn't without reason, but I still find ES lore one of the deepest as far as game series go.

But yeah, the lore itself and world building would be enough to get me hooked into the game, but atm I don't want to invest my time in another gargantuan game.

Actually I've also been curious if this is a bot or not. It doesn't contain a link which is usually what this is about (clicks sometimes generate conversions which are making $ for those who set them up)... But hey I decided to comment either way because it doesn't change my stance on the game itself, advert or not.

We kinda also are advertising games which we play atm by posting in this thread.

Exploration / survival game. I love the beginning of the game lol. I click start, there's zero introduction dialogue, I wake up with amnesia on a frozen alien planet with an environmental suit that is failing and I have to scavenge the planet for resources to repair my tech and stay alive.

There is no easy answer to this. I've played it for 50 hours so far, and I enjoy the experience. Trying various mechanics and the combat itself are pretty fun, but not very deep and definitely unbalanced. Some opponents can one shot you, others can be one-shotted but because the game is a sandbox, you can't even tell by looking at characters. There are ofc hints like color-coding, but generally a simple thug might one shot you just because you've met him in a high level district. Imo it's bad design.

I enjoy the story, I enjoy the characters. There are some really well written moments here. I enjoy the style, I enjoy the music. I enjoy the depth of the world. Some things are fresh and are like nothing I've ever seen in a game before as far as storytelling goes (like a deep heart-to-heart conversation with a doll who is actually simulating data processed from your characters brain). I don't even see that many bugs, you start to see them more if you walk off from the beaten path, but that's not good for a sandbox game unfortunately...

The problem with the game is that its fundamentally not what it was promised, nor it is a finished game. Plus its unfinished state is pretty obvious: physics, AI, in-game activities or world interaction all definitely seem lacking. I would go as far as to say it's a shell of what it should have been.

Imo you should wait at least half a year if you still believe CD Projekt after what they did that they will make the game better. They recently released an apology video (that doesn't explain that much ofc) in which they underline their next steps coupled with a roadmap although it's still pretty vague and general.

They're gonna need a miracle for their next release if they wanna save their ass.  Hell, if they manage to put out something that would be so well recieved to offset the bad rep following this debacle and all that on a much tighter budged and with even higher expectations...  I'd be impressed.

I accidentally replayed the entire Mass Effect trilogy after going back to play the 1st one.

Stupid 3rd one still doesn't give you full military strength and proper ending unless you do multiplayer to improve your galactic derp derp score. I'm just going to pretend it was a bug.

Now continuing my Divinity Original Sin 2 game after a long, long, long break. Sort of forget what I'm doing lol.

Playing a female dwarven geomancer. Fane, Red Prince, and Ifan Ben Mezd are my primary companions. Ifan has the hots for me. Can't say that I blame him.
