Actually a dual core Celeron thingy, 2,6GHz each. Handles Fallout: New Vegas no problem, but won't even launch Hell Yeah. That's indie coding for you.

Well, that explains everything then... Your processor is not bad at all. Sorry about thinking you had something like an old celeron or Pentium...
Kinda weird that a 2d platformer causes this type of problems. One would not think about the compatibility or coding issues that could exist in a 2d game.
Your issue kind of surprised me.

Watching some Far cry 3 footage, this game looks remarkably well-done, I particularly like the take-downs, the stealth aspect of the game. Just watching some guy stab a load of pirates.

Yeah, if you plan your approach you can take down most enemies in the game with nothing but the knife.
Except for when there are dogs... ****ing dogs man... sniffs me out of the bushes...
I had to remove the recurve bow from my inventory so I wouldn't use it all the fricking time. Like, no other weapon even gets used cuz it's so damn good. 1 hit kill on all normal enemies, regardless of where you hit.
Much more satisfying to line up a headshot with an SMG or something imo.

Bought Baldur's Gate 2.
Pretty steep learning curve at first, game doesn't explain many things.
Like what the goddamn a THACO is? I dunno sounds tasty. D10 what now? That's damage? I dunno.
I like how powerful spells are, Fireball is so sastisfying! WHOOSH B****!
Still not sure what kinda character I wanna play... been starting over and over.

Playing Eye of the Beholder currently. Just picked up the drow cleaver on level 4 for my level 4 fighter. CARNAGE TIME YOU BLOODY SPIDERS!
for those of you who don't know, drow cleaver is +3 axe which at this point of the game equals fricking awesome and spiders are able to poison your character which at this point of the game means sure death due to negate poison being high level spell out of grasp

There IS a tutorial hidden somewhere. I believe in the save games or smth.
A thac0 determines how high you must roll to score a hit on an opponent with an Armor Class of 0. The lower the Thac0, the easier it is to hit.
Unlike BG1 (where you should be a Paladin, a Fighter, a Thief(/Mage) or Cleric), BG2 really can be played by any class. Each Class also gets an unique quest, so technically you should just play a game with every class  .
Just pick any class you like. HOWEVER, the class most players pick is THIEF of FIGHTER.

An introduction to RPG based games before table role playing games, can make for easy confusion.
I never figured out how to transfer xDy into damage range when I played M&M7 during public school. Realizing D stands for Dice, that the first number is the amount of rolls, and the second number is the eyes on the dice made it easy to translate. Even appreciate.
It still doesn't beat the added difficulty of not understanding English, or even worse, not caring about what the game tells you.

eh... D10 means a 10 faces dices, so 1D10 means you got 1-10point damage, if my memory is right.
Better google AD&D rules, especially Edition 2.0(as BG2 base on that),then you will know what's going on, just like I do in the serveral D&D rpg...
