I played a modest amount of AC3, after about 3 hours into it, I forgot that the core objective of the game is to assassinate peeps, and not to bloody hunt and craft. In all honesty I truly wish that Haytham was the main character, the native guy is just such a brat. A mewling infant rather than a feared assassin, but considering my first point, this wasn't really an assassination oriented game.

Playing some M&B Fire and Sword. Such a good game, started out aiming high and trying to solo entire armies by kiting & shooting them, but worth **** all against musket armed bandits. I was captured at least a dozen times, but my fortune turned when I realized that the bandit group that captured me also had a winged hussar as a captive (the group was 14 man strong) after three attempts I finally overcame them and freed the hussar. (as in I got captured 3 times by the same group)

That single winged hussar won me many heroic battles, and helped me build a professional army out of some Rusky poor cossacks (armed with muskets) Alas, the hussar died of dysentery.

Just a note, in this game Winged hussars are the equivalent of Panzers.

With Fire and Sword is one of the best games ever made and almost as good as Warband. Polish Hussars are badass as hell and I use the Polish hussar artwork from the game as desktop screen on my lap top.

Kingdom of Sweden is still the superior faction in almost any way. Swedish lancers lose big time against polish hussars but swedish dragoons, musketeers and pike/sword infantry will slaughter all other factions. They also have the heaviest armor and got access to scottish and finnish mercenaries.

There is a really cool WFaS mod out there that allows the player to create a custom kingdom with a prussian troop tree.

I love the Commonwealth, something about being raped on all sides just exhilarates me.

Hawken.

Wow, so extremely damn polished for an indie game. This beats Mechwarrior Online several times over... I mean it's way different so the comparison is kinda hard but... damn, that execution, those environments, the feel of the weapons.

Totally free to play and the first mech you get is arguably the best in the game and comes equipped with the best weaponry.

Just download and play, it's really worth a shot.

Vroooom mech combat.

The only complaint I have right now is that the movement sounds inside the cockpit are kinda nonexistant... Mechwarrior Online really nailed the feeling of being in a hulking monster of a mech. These ones move too smoothly.

Mafia 2. enjoying the story, but it lacks more drama in my opinion. the prequel was better at it though.

must be one of the very few shooting games where I prefer the shotgun over any other weapon. a shame that there is no sawn off version of it.

Why play L4D2 when you can play Killing Floor or Resident Evil: Operation Raccon City?

I'd rather make them play Chivalry or Hawken ^^

We need to get a HC group together sometime over Skype and play something. Would be amazingly fun depending on the game

Yeah, that would be fun... I think. I'd at least lurk in the background, as I usually do, and join in on a game or two.

So I'm playing Dishonored, and in it are these things called Bone Charms, which give you little perks that aren't too useful but don't cost you anything (you find them scattered around the mission). Each one has a different name, and so I find one called Albinos.

I think, "Dafuq? What could that possibly do? Whatever, let's check it out in my inventory, they're all pretty pointless anyway. I mean, a potion gives you slightly more health? Big deal, right?"

I go to my inventory, where I read this gem:

"You encounter white rats slightly more often."

...

I don't even...

What in the world...

...

There is, literally, absolutely no point in this. Whatsoever. I'm genuinely struggling to figure out what kind of bonus this would provide.

There's another charm that lets you possess white rats longer than other kinds of rats.

It's a combo charm sorta.

There's your point ^^

Ah, that makes sense. Even though it's still a lame bonus and probably not worth wasting two bone charms for. As someone who doesn't have the possess spell, what happens if your time runs out and you're in the middle of some sewer that a normal human can't fit in?

Possession is quite fun really, can do some really neat things with it. I infiltrated a bathhouse as a fish ^^
