Just played again to no avail. An effective method seems to be psyching him into jumping into space.
Guess I'll have to try shooting him into space w/ shock rifle.

Playing Assassin's Creed 3. Also some Age of Mythology.
Slitting throats with a bloody tomahawk is fun. screw the hidden blades. The story is rather nice as well. the cutsene where Haytham initiates Lee into the templars made me surprised. a nice plot twist.
Imo they should make an Assassin's Creed game where the protagonist works hand in hand with Lenin & co to start the revolution in Russia, and kills the Romanovs, but later finds out that he's been working for the bad guys and such, and goes out on a revenge spree, trying to undo what he's caused although he fails and dies or flees. that would be something, seeing as the team behind the game know how to create a good story.
I wonder if the Black Flag is any good. if it's out.

from what i heard, Black Flag is good, but it's storyline is absolutely RETARDED, even for AC standards.

Been playing Metroid Prime in my freetime. Oh god the controls are killing me. What kind of idiot wanted to make this first person with locked view? He needs to be shot, I can't see my feet to time my jumps. It's such a pain.
Also generally looking around is so painful. I can see that free view would emphasize the shooter aspect but still, such idiots.
I'm also missing being able to combo beams together.
Happy that bomb jumping is still there.
BUT WHY CAN'T I BLOODY RUN?!

Really? I didn't have issues with the games controls. Sure, they're unusual, but I didn't find them that troublesome (well, maybe some more intense battles were problematic, but not that much). Actually I've completed the whole Prime trilogy, and I find those games incredible. Rarely you see games as polished, rewarding and entertaining as those. Great production value.

Let us not even touch the boss fight controls. The sideways dodge is almost useless as actually jumping takes you further away from the danger. Why can Samus jump higher than farther when aiming? This makes no sense. 
There's also the fact that she apparently slips very easily(as in, cannot do anything if you fall of a 1cm high "drop"), you'd think hyper advanced power suit would have proper boots, the answer is, nope.
Also, boss fights in general are such a pain. They're so easy untill you hit the trigger, that is, 1/3rd of the enemy health left or so. Then they simply stop giving you chances to shoot for 10 minutes in a row. So, stupid. You'll be dodging for 10 minutes, or more often just let samus stand there while you get a coffee since supermissiles take the enemy to that health so fast, you're still at 98% health and can take the punishment, then you come back to shoot to do damage once and go back to dodging for 10 minutes. The result is that the boss takes 40 minutes of dodging and 5 minutes of shooting. 44 minutes of this is when they're down to 1/3rd of their health. Just, So, BORING.
Perhaps it's got something to do with the 3rd dimension since the game seemed to lack innovation in all aspects. I didn't gather all the missiles but somehow I just did not get that AHAAA feeling from reaching them.
I would have also liked a lot more bonuses to be accessible earlier if you were good enough at bomb jump or something else, which also brings me to another point.
Super Metroid has bomb jumping, speed running, speed ball, glow spark, wall jumping. All of which can be used to reach hard to get to places.
Here we only have bomb jumping and as I said, highly limited. You can six bomb jump to reach high places, which is very nice, but it simply isn't that useful.
Perhaps the game was just too limited to the sequence you're supposed to play it in. Only difference to this were the weapon upgrades, they were nicely placed.
Also, did not like the missile launch delay, I understand with the omitting of free aim they needed to be homing and rapid fire would make them overpowered but still, rapid fire missiles were, and are, the trademark of all 2D metroids.

So I'm not really into point & click adventures, but I picked up Deponia. It's amusing enough for me to power through the silly "puzzles", as long as I don't play it too long at a time.

Currently playing Guild wars 2 and Clash of kings & Brytenwalda, since I love the Greyjoys so much I copied music and banners from the Game of thrones themed mod into the brytenwalda mod. (Clash of kings the ironborn are "OK" but ship fighting is bad, while in brytenwalda I can be the raider that I always wanted to be with the ironborn banner and music)

OpenTTD with my sister. She's now learning to be a true capitalist, blasting away forests for railway that will transport fossil fuels for great wealth.
Europa Universalis IV as Malaya (formed from Brunei). I was just about finished colonising Taiwan when suddenly, Ming (China, by far the most powerful state in my region) attacks me over it. Having not much of a navy, I am forced to concede Taiwan. At the same time, Chinese troops march down presentday Thailand and force me to give those lands to the Hindu kingdom of Ayutthaya (it hurts because I'm sunni/sufi). Well, that sucked. But it's also those unexpected obstacles that I love with EU4.

Just finished Dishonoured and Bioshock Infinite. Dishonoured was nice enough I guess, but the game does urge you to be a "goody" and not kill anyone, strangling them instead or putting them to sleep with the same animation. (like in Thief you'd actually want to ****ing stay away from guards, at least I did) This gets rather tedious, also it's ridiculously easy to just carve into an army of guards without problem on the hardest difficulty, (not as easy as Assassin's Creed 3 riposte spam but easy enough) but it is a lot of fun, shame the game puts emphasis on silence and stealth while your tools are largely focused on lethal take downs. (all except the sleep dart, of which you can't have more that 10, while you can have 30 bolts and similar amount of bullets)
Bioshock was an absolutely stunning initial experience, everything was vibrant, full of life and detail. Still a bit flummoxed after finishing it, but it was interesting enough, more of a story game rather than one with a solid gameplay focus.

I am playing Starbound as well and really enjoy it.
I am also playing the new Shadow Warrior and Shadowrun Returns. I recommend both.
