Map Making Question

So I'm making a map and my goal is to make it so the starting heroes for the players are the only available heroes. but if they flee they can be recruited at the tavern again...2 days of my own attempts have failed, any suggestions?

How about making the other heroes unavailable? They wouldn't appear in tavern then.

OMG I completely forgot about it!

but it's so hot here I can't think straight anyway... I need better cooling for this stuff.

I tried to do this once. You have to make sure the heroes you want are in both AvailableHeroes, and same for Tavern, AvailableHeroes.

I have one question too,I don't know how to ask it,but I'll try.
I saw in some maps,monsters as objects(I think it's right).It means they just stay,fight,but without that circle under them.I was wandering how to make these monster-objects in map-editor

sry, I don't look often in the Temple of Ashan. Next time, you should post your question in the MapHaven Guild.

Create a new object.
(If you don't know how: Down in the left corner of the editor is the properties panel. If you marked a static object on a map - it gets red - you can see its properties in the properties panel. Click on New right next to Shared (Where the 3 ... are) and you'll create a dummy file. Name it however you want.)
The editor opens a new window (AdvMapStaticShared i think) and you'll see additional properties of the object. you can for example choose a model, any model you want ! Choose your model.
Then you have to give the model an animation. For that, you'll have to create a new animation set. So click on New right next to Anim (just like you created the new object) and name the new dummy file.
In the dummy animation set, you right click on animations and choose New. Next to Kind, you type in idle00 and choose under kind, in Anim, the animation. (So you don't click on New, you just click on the 3 ... . Search the animations for creatures @ to places:
_(BasicSkelAnim) and _(AnimSet).

Map Questions

I have been reading the manuel about the map editor but each time nothing works. Is there a straight forward way of doing your own game where you can utilize a hero to reach the highest level he/she can with the map editor, or can you reconstruct one of the mpas in the game? I have HOMM5 TOE & HOF..

How do you mean, from the beginning or to make max level possible within the game? For the former you can build your own hero or place a sphinx that gives x amount of experience. Not much experience with scripts so I am more familiar with basic editor tools.
