Necropolis musn't be on corrupted land,deads don't care where they stay.But Inferno,must.
If you don't like Fortress for swamp town,how about Keep?
The units stats of keep:
New version of troglodyte and frogman
Troglodyte Build basic buildings,ghater resources.Can be upragraded in:Frogman or Infernal Troglodyte.Trained at keep
FrogmanBuild advance buildings and upragrade basic ones,can ghater resources.Trained at keep
Infernal TroglodyteCounter-Cavalry,basic and weak infantry,can't build or ghater resources.Trained at keep.
GnollInfatry,good vs.infantry,weak vs.cavalry and shooters.Upg is Gnoll Marauder.Trained at War Hut.
Gnoll MarauderInfantry,attack increased,low in defense.Upg is Gnoll Warrior.Trained at War Hut.
Gnoll WarriorInfantry,attack and defense increased,avarage vs, cavalry,but still weak vs.shooters.Trained at War Hut.

Good point, maybe Inferno builds only on Scorched Earth, but I really like the idea of corrupted ground. Heres a way to make them different: Only Necropolises corrupt ground, Acolytes and Necromancers have to corrupt more ground to build on, while Scorched Earth is created by Inferno's buildings.
EDIT: I didn't see your post, lizard. A good faction, but I'm calling my lizard town Temple, and there needs to be 8 base monsters, and only one upgrade. Oh, and only monsters upgrade.

My suggestions for some Temple monsters
Varanid > Komodo (monitor lizards)
Chelydrid > Tarasque (snapping turtles)
Mahamba > Cipactli (big crocodiles)
Cassowary > Dromaius (big flightless birds)
Volan Dragon > Swamp Dragon (small dragons)
Viper > Mangshan (venomous snakes)

I feel it makes monsters more unique, and I posted that a little while ago, workers upgrade now, too. And exellent lineup, but I like mythical creatures, though be sure I'm using Komodo Dragons.

...than tell me, what will teh mosnters of haven be, course I don't see 8 mosnters for them right now, unless you see priests as mosnters, that is 
Also, I hope you're not angry that I felt so inspired by your attempt here that I'll post my own RTS-HOMMspinoff soon, just now writing the post, though its's taking time. Its not like I don't like your idea but I have many thingsin midn that donÄt fit in yours probably and I want to get them to a whole^^

Well I imagine War Dogs and Griffens, but beyond that I haven't much of a clue since they'd mostly be relying on domestic beasts, many of whom are either too dumb or too skittish to be useful. Trained Boars maybe?

I'm using some Spirits (goodly beings, not ghosts) to fill up all the spots. Something like Stage one is Spirit and War Dog, second is Pegasus and Battle Boar, ect, ect.

Ya, I have lots of RTSs, (C&C: Generals, AoM, AoE3, AoE2, BFME, War of the Ring, WC3, WC2, AoM The Titans...) but AoM is by far my personal favorite.

Age of Mythology is a good game, from what I understand. I haven't actually played it, but my friend showed me it. I didn't see all of the possible gods and etc., but it sounds fun. I have much more experience in AOE3, having hammered the computer multiple times. And in AOE2 I mainly fool around with the map creator.

I'm the bigest Microsoft's RTS fan(I think).Age of empires I was my first good game.Now I have all of them,Aoe 1,2,3 and Aom.

Well I can't match those list of RTSs, but I have a few, plus some non-HoMM TBSs, and some Real-Time-Economies and City-Builders, including some rather obscure titles.
Can't say I'm an overly big fan of Microsoft's 'Age' series, they always strike me as a bit too simple with huge tech-level jumps, rather than a gentle technological progression (in reality, the inability to smelt iron would probably have only a limited effect on how powerful a bow can be, or how big a wooden ship) as, Say Warcraft/Starcraft have.

I only HAVE all those ones. Only a couple are playable. I lost BFME and AoM's disks, Titans has some sort of "memory error" and I can't play, War of the Ring's case broke and the disk got scratched, AoE2 has no CD key, I got a new computer and WC2 refuses to download...  So I can only play WC3, AoE3, Generals, and sometimes Titans works.

Red Alert (doesn't install on XP)
I also used to own K240 (written for the Amiga in 1994), but we got rid of it a few years back with the computer.
