yes,you can mix terrains,but one of them must be a terrain necesary from the my list.

now,I'm the only judge and supreme one,when there will be more factions(or I don't have many time) I will request another judge.

that's means I can add new judges and I can't be "dimiss".

New rule,prize for the winners:

1st place:King of Factions
Select a category and put variants for all partcipnats for next round.

Ex: Participant X win round
He select creature category and post varinats:
Bird
Golem
Undead
Dwarf
All participants must respect winner's variants.

2nd place:Bishop of Factions
Ignore background category for next round,if the player don't partcipe next round,the bonus will be lost.

Ex: Participant Y win 2nd place
If he want,he can ignore background category,so if the anlighment and terrain will be evil and grass/swamp/desert,he can use dirt and good anlighement,without be penalized.

3rd place:Knight of Factions
Can use only one creature from the list without penalty,if the player don't partcipe next round,the bonus will be lost.

Ex: Participant Z win 3rd place
He can use only 1 creature from the list for next round,if there are elemntal,ghost,worm and arachnid.Z can use only worm from the list and it will not be penalized.

they will be activated  if there are enough factions:

1st place:when there are more than 1 faction

2nd place:when there are more than 5 factions

3rd place:when there are more than 7 factions

Let's start:
From now you have a month to make your factions,if you don't have enough time,you can solicit an extesion of 1,5 week twice.Good luck.

I will follow my 5+3 line-up what i used in the new-necro topic but if you want i could create the basic 7 tier line-up later

Lands of the Free cities

Hero : Sorcerer/Sorceress
Commander : Bard
Ground : Dirt
Alightment: neutral (more or less)

- Welcome young lady. My name is Graman, as a heir of one of our welthiest merchant, you need to learn our history. Prepare that i will be a common guest in your life for a few years.

After the ruination spreed by the events and factions participated in the Dark messiah's crusade the merchants of the Free cities decided that they had to protect their welth in new ways.
Our ancestors who worshiped Sylath in the Falcon empire, were banished by the children and zealots of Elrath. This is also a reason why we sell our merchandise at higher cost to them even if they renamed their self to the Unicorn empire.

- SHROUDED SOUTH. A secret what we must keep in our hands. At the war academy you may met with the other nations armies and strategis. Remember Yg-challs raiders and their warlocks riding pet?  Their first dozens camed from this land. The ancestors of our sea elfs, i mean the original ones, not the half-elf we know today traveled to this land after they banished from Irollan at the "Days of fire".
I will further continue my child but let me finish first.

- Only one thing about our fortresses, since this Bastions are like borderguard castles the population is relatively low beacouse the main armies defending the prosperal backlands and protect the caravans moving around in the lands of Ashan.
Usually our enemies call them rag-tags due to their unique "habitatnts".

- Now i will show you the images of our armies main forces. Remember its just illusion

((Tier 1 Giant-toad - Dart frog/Bullfrog))

These creatures along with Hammertails and the lizards taimed by the dark elves originally dwell in the "Shrouded south" where semi-primitive lizardfolk civilization rule the continent.Our fleet secretly reached first led by sea elves and later by the Juggernauths of the Free cities. Bringing the creatures to better known lands of Ashan was quite difficult but after some years the first breeding pools established within the underground areas of Bastions.

The Toads are same size of a greyhound but due they are amphibians they quie vulnerable in dry lands. Altough their lifespawn is only 5-6 year but their tammers protect them well so nearly all of their pollyowgs reach matureity.

Abilities : leap attack, fire vulnerability


One of their kind becamed venomus and quickly named Dar frog by the mercenaries serving in the Free cities. Its an interesting that this kind of giant toads lost their legs and had tentacles in their places. Despite that our mages not really sure that they could be really called frog, our main disadvantage with this that they are much more vulnerable to dry out, but their efficenty is great within sea. In my opinion this could be the affect of the magic what the lizardfolk use. How else could happen that from pollywogs looking like a mirror image of each other will be so much different from each other? Three broods usefull at combat, few used to unique delicates?

Abilities : fire vulnerability, "three headed attack", poison

Ahh the Bullfrogs. Just like their normal sized cousins are the biggest, thougest and most carnivac (in amphibian terms) this kind of Giant-toads is deadliest we know.

Abilities : fire vulnerability, leap attack, scavenger


((Tier 2 Tracker - Sniper/Swordmaster))

When the Sea elves banished by elfs from their home, they started to discover forgotten lands and soon they appeared at the Shrouded south. After they realized that they are unable to conquer the inhabitants they travelled back, and adopted to became merchants and as always sailors. But becasue they were low in number, half-elfes appeared amongs them. Now days none of the Sea elf families had 'trueblooded' members and their races name is the alias to half-elfs.
If they not serve our Juggernauths as Captains or even more high ranking officers they will follow their legacy and became Trackers, scouts and bountyhunters of our land. They use daggers in a very effective duel-handed style.

Abilities : ???

Those who are likely to be hunters will soon became Sniper in the army. The most known weapon they us is the muskets created by our dwarven forgeclans.

Abilites : shooter, musket

Others of them will became Swordmasters following their elf/dark elf cousins fighting art.

Abilites : no enemy retaliation


((Tier 3 Gargoyle - Coldstone/Dreadwing))

A Gargoyle is an animated statue, right? No, my students. Or i should say the original gargoyles are bit different than the creations used by the wizards some decades ago. As the childrens of Sylath and Sylanna - orcs would say the childs of Father sky and Mother earth - they posses great strenght and mobility.

Abilities : turn to stone, flier

A Coldstone posses the power of Sylanna, granted excess to the ways of light and elemnts while a Dreadwing is a counterpart for them using the forces of summoning and darkness. All of these creatures have the ability to turn into stone just as they would do at mornings if they lost their amulets created by our sorcerers.

Abilites Coldstone : flier, turn to stone, caster
Abilites Dreadwing : flier, turn to stone, caster


((Tier 4 Hammertail - Armorhide/Morningstar))

The mighty Hammertails. Big, armored, and deadly if angered. Usually used instead of stags their potent in warfare is amazing. Even the predatory lizards used by the Dark elfs fear them. The tamers main duty is to protect the eggs and the hachlings.

Abilites : large creature, enraged

For sieges we use metal armor peaces to protect their softer spots and even if our battlerams destroyed will stil have the Armorhides.

Abilities : large, armored, battleram, enraged

If a special conection will appear between the beast and the tammer the man or woman will soon be sent to a war academy for self-defense training and after this, the couple join our heavy infantry. The difference of the armor pieces is while we want to protect the Battlehammers we use spike pieces for the Morningstars.

Abilites : large, armored, spike and claws


((Tier 5 Naga - Dragonspawn/Naga lancer))

These pride creatues are the second closest children of Shallasa. The were her ancient race. Fool idea to think that they could only survive in the seas this is only a legend passed from father to son between sailors. Look at that statue in the midle of the garden. Its scales are just the same of a real Naga and a human.

Abilities : large, double retaliate

Because created by Shallasa some of them shares similar look to a dragon, they are the Dragonspawn. One pair of their arms became wings but they still loose the advantage of legs.

Abilities : large, flier, ice immunity, fire immunity, breath attack

Naga lancers are the elite warriors in their society. Another legend may be true that the double wielding weapon arts borned from copying their technics. The master of Shallasas priesthood is always a Naga.

Abilites : large, double retaliate, distant attack,


Now let me tell you about the choices of a citizen if he/she wants to became warrior.

((Native creature mercenary : Corsair))

You found mercenaries in every city regardless where it lies, who rules that land. Those who choose to serve us will learn with our privates to became Corsair. Townguards, houseguards they all the same. Mostly they serve on the Juggernauths as marines.

Abilites : agility, sailorlegs

((Native creature cavalry : Caravanguard))

Childs of nobles, veterans of battles. They never really serve under banners but if they do, the Unicorn, the Spider or our Shark banner will wave above them. Though Juggernauths are swimming fortresses with enough resouce to travel months in the sea the caravans are vulnerable to marauders and rouges. A caravans guardians consist of two or three dozens of Corsairs and at leat six Caravanguards. They prefer to use scimitars and spears.

Abilites : large, distant attack, earth immunity,

((Native creature dragon : Saphire dragon))

Yes, lady you are right about dragons. Their nature will be the key witch dragon god's heir will shape their scales and their abilites. Strong emotions keept in line by wisdom. This is the main personality of a Saphire dragoon.

Abilities : large, flier, breath attack, ice immunity



Ability explanation

Musket : once per battle, the creature could use this activated ability. The range damage will be [maximum damage + ?*(stack number/weakly growth)]

Turn to stone : activated ability. The creature will turn to stone, recieving only 50% of damage from any attack, will not retaliate, attack will drop down to 0, but its defense increase with the amount of attack.

Battleram : activated ability. The creature could attack walls and gates if ANY creature in the line it will be stunned. The chance to stun is if it were attacked by a creature with "bash" ability.

Distant attack : the creature will attack from distance (like pikemans in H3 and H4)

Double retaliate : the creature will retaliate twice

Sailor legs : chance to recieve only 50% dmg except magical dmg.




  Contender to contender part


Due to my lack of free time, i think i've finished my faction. Would liked to get some further info about the background story.

Contest rules --> unable to give picture only a small icon appear. Btw the picture is the frog to the tier one basic creature

Fliers : Gargoyle, Naga (well one of the upgrade only) thats two since native creature dwell in special building, if the map hasn't got any you could use only the basic creature

Use 2 of this creatures ...

- Malformed creature : the Dart frog with tentacles
- Dinosaur like creature : the Hammertail/Armorhide/Morningstar trio

if 7 tier line-up needed instead of my 5+3 line-up

Cut the dragon from the line, Naga will be Tier 7 Caravan guard would be tier 6, dino would be 5, Garg. tier 4, half-elves and the corsairs would be a better than tier 2 avarege tier 3 with both low weekly growth (just like Dungeon in H5 with Bloods and Minos)
