HOGW- heroes of gunsmoke and westerns
Listen to this before you get all high and mighty about how not including guns in a heroes series....
the Fantasy Genre gells so well with the western genre!
All the stereotypes are there. You can have the humans as the missionaries with some "crazy" new religion they want to impose on everyone. you can have the dwarves as "Crazy" prospectors with "thar's gold in thim there hills!", attitude. you can have the elves as "crazy" native americans, trying, desperately, to tell everyone else to gtfo their land and leave them be. You can have the orcs as... the list is endless.
Towns are probably going to be small, with a lot less units, but alot more customisation when it comes to them.
the missionary: the human town, very religions and incredibly pious about their worship.
the reservation: the elven town, classic, sylvan, nature, hippy, american indian esque town.
the prospectory: the dwarven town, alot of engineering and strange, "Wacky" inventions.
the graveyard: the obligitory undead faction, of course with a Voodoo twist. probably the most noble out of the four factions so far, and are not so much about cheating death, as returning to it.
