Might and Magic: Heroes disection thread

Good morning all of my hero friends. I wish to start a dissection thread for all released news, screenshots and movies about the game.

From the very first screenshot,



We can see that Haven appear to have a deeper blue as their new color(or it could be team colors) and complemented by gold lines here and there.

We only have four resources to manage now, which I must say im happy about(having to go hunting for all of them resources to tech up was really getting on my nerves)

Wood and Ore (presumably exclusive for buildings)
Gold (the base for training units and heroes)
Crystals (we can safely assume that these are used for more specialized units, say tier 4 units and up. It could also be possible that heroes cost crystals too, just to make them a bigger investment(and stop hero spamming)

The units appear to have gone on a diet, because the look much thinner and generally, much more good looking.

The environment seems MUCH more realistic.

edit: and thers an obelisk guarded by a haven monster, we could see some more tears of asha/holy grails.

To me, I think this might be the first might and magic title that will look good in 3d. (i hated Homm 4 with a passion, and Homm 5 was a step up but just too cartoony you might say.)

I dare say that the new Haven, I think it would be rather safe to assume that it is, architecture has a distinct resemblance to that of Stonehelm in DMoMM.
Whereas the old Haven resembled the castles of late medieval France, this has a hole new style. I have a little trouble pinpointing it exactly though.

I think it is too soon to call that there will only be 4 resources. In previous Alpha-screens of HoMMV they did not show all resources either, I seem to recall.

Still if the resource managment is downsized, your assumption is not unreasonable.

Units I will not make many claims about, as I can see little of them.

Realistic is not what I would call the new style, but I dare say it's a lot sharper than it was.

Not to be a party pooper but we already have a Heroes 6 News Topic - Announcements and Information. I can understand your enthusiasm - we all are eager to learn more - but there's no need for duplicate threads

I think that the slimming down of resources is a good thing, as I felt it was a little cumbersome.

as for the architectural design of haven, I keep imagining Gaude's barcelona cathedral

especially with the central church. the other houses look almost nordic in their design, especially with the sloping roofs.

With realistic I mean no comics graphic, everything else is not more or ever relistic.

I wonder if we will be capable to make H6 moding.We can in h3 and h5.I think,if they will use a format which can be readed by 3DS max(I have version 9.0).

About the screen...the haven looks like h5 one,but with blue instead of orange and yellow.I agree with Vokial,that looks like a learning stone.If the screen will be that,the creature is to small to see it.

The hero have now a red symbol who probabile is the player's color.The portrait looks evil and after the colors,is a necropolis hero.I'm wonder if there will be 2 hero classes or just one like in h5.

The menu looks exactly like the h5 one.Every bar is a day of the week.The first button under the hourglass,I can swear it's main menu and I'm sure.The second make the hero to walk instantly how much movent points (s)he can.I wonder what make the other ones.

To much angels...now they make to much angels statues.I think in game must be just one statue at angels dwelling.

There are just 4 resources(until now).Gold,basically resource,Ore and Wood for buildings and gems for special buildings and lvl 7 creatures.

I disected how I can that screen,so....other please
