Translation says lutin = elf, gnome, goblin, imp, pixie, puck I believe it refers to leprechauns.

If it refers to imps I think I'll scream.

Elvin is right, lutin in french is the leprechaun.

Sveltana sounds sexy, and I like the change to the griffin, it finnaly looks like the H3 one but in 3D. They remind me of the hypogirfs in Harry Potter

This is likely to be fixed, but did anyone else feel that the animation pauses between the attack/retaliation made it look really choppy.

Except that I'm pretty sure Leps weren't in H5, and nor were Pucks or Gnomes.

Leprechauns was in Heroes V but not as a unit but a location (he is dancing in a glen) on the map were you got some gold from, or something like that. But I can say I wont be sorry if they are gone.

Clarification about archers/towers, Heroes and caravans

Kilop in CH translated some more from Archangel's castle. There should be a number that you did not know.

- 40 to 60 hours of campaign gameplay
- hotkeys available for combat / adventure
- no heroes on the battlefield (like in H3)- advanced classes
- area of effect for ranged units
- arena up to 50% bigger
- only one role for each creature : support, dps, tank, rusher
- archers can go in the main tower
- offensive and defensive position (formations?)
- capacities to shield from range (probably refers to line of sight)
- no caravans (not needed anymore)
- neutral blue phoenixes (cause they are linked to the moon)
- a special ability for each faction, will charge during combat with 4 levels
- no more trolls lutins, gremlins, there SHOULD be dragons
- haven is tanky weak offense and lots of heals, racial: guardian angel , gives might/magic immunity to a stack
- necro : weak offense and defense , no moral debuff and long fights, dots, racial: necromancy (resurrection)
- inferno : strong offense, strong defense, low morale, racial: gating

Edit:

Translation says lutin = elf, gnome, goblin, imp, pixie, puck I believe it refers to leprechauns.

The highlighted in red needs clarification, can we put as many archers we want on towers and if there is no caravans, I guess we have to transfer units from 1 castle to another the old fashion way? Meaning we piggy back them on a hero and bring them to the castle manually?

As for Heroes on the battlefield, as I understand it, Heroes cannot combat on the battlefield? Meaning, they can only buff the units from the back like in H3?

No caravans means they changed the system, after all the focus of H6 is to avoid secondaries doing all the chores.

The caravan thing was already confirmed by Erwan to Drachenwald, he only said they are not needed anymore. While that corresponds with the dwellings adding the creatures to the pools in the castle, I don't know how it affects inbetween castles. Maybe they just didn't want to include that feature. Probably because then you could transfer creatures between the control points too quickly so it would be too tough for the enemy.

Oh and heroes do more than just cast spells but I cannot get very specific yet.

Well, other than casting spells, what else can they do hmmmm lets see, maybe draw your sword and attack? That would be nice.

They said they were removing trolls and there was no troll since H3

1. Personally harass enemy stacks without retalation, similar to H5 mechanics.

2. Duel each other aside from the main battlefield. The green bar seen in some screenshots could have switched to display remaining hit points instead of movement. This is unlikely, though, as it is stated that no creature army can move without a hero. But maybe a hero defeated in a duel gets wounded and can't do anything until the end of the battle. Remember about the RPG focus of the game.

3. Use a variety of spell-like abilities that aren't purely magical, like battlecries / morale boosting orders. Otherwise it would be so unfair for warrior-type heroes. Many hero skills may come to have an active battlefield option. Like Leadership giving the hero a number of uses, depending on the skill level, so a knightly leader can blow his horn at critical moments to boost his army's morale, instead of just passively cranking up the morale meter for allied troops 24/7.

Why so specific about H3? All H games except H4 had heroes off the battlegrid. Maybe they were trying to say that the heroes don't even temporarily enter the battlegrid to carry out their special attack or ability, unlike in H5, and always remain outside the battlegrid, like in H3 and all previous games.

What about the tides rushing onto the combat arenas, as promised by the devs? Will the heroes automatically adjust their position on the battle screen to escape from the tide? Will the heroes periodically ride along the rear lines in a sort of fixed animation, like trying to better observe the battle, instead of just standing glued to one spot?

Hey guys, in order to keep things kind of in order so we can sort through it, I'd like you to post new information in the News and Announcements thread. Discussion of old information should take place in the Discussion thread.

This thread was made for discussing the specific batch of news we got on the 26th, so we could gather feedback for the developers. As the new tidbits added lately are mostly small additions, I think I'll close this thread for a while, and move the discussion back to the other thread. Next time we have major news, I'll open a new sticky thread for discussion and feedback.
