I love achievements, and I think we should hold an achievement contest even though we know very little of the gameplay mechanichs and stuff.

From previous games and also the info from the devs so far you could make a slew of achievements for the game.

Example:

Stay awhile, and DIE!
-Make a duel with an enemy hero last thirty minutes.

Friendly Demon Fire
-Deal 1000 damage to a friendly stack(be it summoned or real)

Retaliatory machine
-Have a unit be attacked 5 times and retaliating on every single shot.

Well, an achievement contest may be a little bit overboard, but I would welcome as many suggestions here as possible! I love to see people express their opinions and evaluate one another's proposals

I think I will try to come up with an achievement list based on H5 graphics and possible achievements when I have time in near future


EDIT:

Hahaha, in fact I found the time to make an exemplary achievement table just like I said just now I could finish the whole list and everything, add some more graphics to it but I still find it rather cute



I am lousy at working with graphics so I imagine ubi will do a better job

Friendly Fire

Deal 1000 spell damage to any friendly stack(real or imaginary)



No more Soles on our shoes.

Walk a grand total of 500 movement squares on the adventure map with one hero.

Nice idea! For every new achievement a player gains points he, later, will be able to spend on some exclusive content (maps, arts, even unique goods like personal artifacts etc.)

While that would be possible, I do not think Achievements should be interrelated with exclusive in-game content. Exclusive content would forcibly compel players to play for them, just as Vicheron stated, and at times there may be certain issues.

Nevertheless, I would not mind it, as long as everything was balanced and it does not impact multiplayer.

This kind of statement makes me triple ask a single question:

1. Why and where does it add childishness in a game?

2. If you are not interested in them, would you care to ignore their presence in the game?

3. What was the cause of your exasperation towards achievements?

Please elaborate, thank you. I agree to some negativity but it would be nice where from this comes.

Oh well my post wasn't truly serious. Well I disslike the idea for some reason but what I want is to be able to turn the achivement notification off. I don't wanna to see it happen in-game, in any game.

Burn it with everything - cover 100% of the combat screen with firewalls.

Let none survive - Win a game with no creatures alive (all neutral stacks killed, enemy hero's killed and all allied stacks killed)

Cultural ambassador - Win a game without converting a town

Spanish inquisition - Convert a town 3 times.

Stubborn - Recruit only one kind of core unit and only one kind of champion unit.

The Ring - win a game using only a single ring artifact

My bad - Lose your starting hero on day 1.


(keep in mind achievements are the perfect place to lighten a game up and to introduce some humor)

EPIC! Though I'd change firewalls to continual and combined fire effects (such as firewalls, infernos, burning effects, armageddons, etc.)

Also, there could be a "my bad" achievement where you would "forget" your main town and it would be taken on the same day you take the opponent's town. Naturally, it happens pretty often for me if I am not attentive enough

I voted we would benefit form it but not needed.
I think we can compare players and so.Ex:
With 3 achievments
Participation: win a battle.
Master:win a battle in less than 2 months.
God:Win a battle in less than 2 weeks.
Participators fight participator.
Masters fight masters
gods fight gods
With 0 achievments:
A first time player fights tha world champion.
