I got a question of private nature: since expansion is delayed and HoTS is still few weeks away I decided to play some campaigns in Heroes. Thing is, I still have not completed Irina's and Sandor's missions since I don't like to play their respective factions. I also rushed through final tears mission since i literally shed tears killing those angels..
And, I played almost no Heroes 5 campaign since I found story to be just ... terrible. So, would you advice me to play Heroes 5 campaign or finish off Heroes 6?

Finish H6. As boring its campaigns may be, they are better then H5's and if you are going to play 50 Shades of Purple  , it would be better to you to know H6 story first.

Then play the DLC's as well. Sandro's campaign Danse Macabre leads on to Shades of Darkness.

Wonder how one gets this persistent one (with "close" button) to work?
All I do is right-click on the unit in question. I believe right-clicking its portrait on the initiative bar opens the persistent one, while right-clicking the actual figure on the battlefield will open the temporary one.
I found the problem! Fixed tooltip is ALT-T! Changes from having the window fixed or not! Phew! Thought I had a bug here!

lost connection to Conflux
My internet connection isn't that at the moment and keeps dropping. As I am playing on two machines I play when connected to the conflux. When i lose connection I lose my game and have to save which is a massive pain in the neck. Am I missing something?
I thought about playing offline but you don't get a dynasty bonus and once you do you can't load it when online which seems a bit stupid.
I searched for answer to this but couldn't find any.

Seems a problem with Ubi servers, try opening a ticket with Ubi support, but I doubt it will help :S

@tierigin -> I had the same problem...conflux connection kept dropping cos of my bad internet connection that I had. When I changed to a better internet provider, my conflux connection was cool and hasn't dropped since.
How is your internet? Strong?

The Succession Wars map adds 5 new heroes to buy at the Altar of Wishes. Ebon Knight Korlagon doesn`t have any advanced class in duel mode ( he was a Bone Guard in the map). Does everyone have the same problem?

Disable cloud synchronization, it will help you retain your sanity. It's a piece of crap, it can only do harm as it is. Only useful when you are playing on multiple pcs and you want them to share your progress.

Those heroes in altar of wishes are only for main hero ..you can`t buy them at the tavern for secondaries, right?
I don`t get the point to play so much to get those portraits .. I mean you can make any hero you want anyway.

In which case you should buy the appropriate portrait. Certainly cheaper though some heroes have a different model, like Acamas or Changbo.

did you all have data8.orc in heroes 6 prgram folder. I accidentally delete it! Now i cant start my games! if your games already patched to 1.8. can you share data8.orc to me I dont want to wait and patch that 1.2 gigbyte again. Please

LOL what I meant was, how do they differ on the battlefield? Teleporting used to mean moving anywhere on the field, now obviously with vampires it doesn't. So the only difference(I presume) is an immunity to grounded spell?
About, portraits, I always thought they only can be used as your avatar in game..
P.s. I'm playing Irina campaign now, and it's very fun. However the Ubi cloud system has almost ruined all my saves - so word of advice - switch it off ASAP, otherwise you will end up with the wierd bugs such(Wolf hero that you have executed in mission one popping up in mission two, quests that cannon be completed, etc.)You can always copy saves manually to another PC if you want(I think)
Also, there is a fort missing in Irina's second mission, strange U shape is in its place and the quest 'Wolves, go home' cannnot therefore be completed.
