Of course there should be different banners, circles and markers whatever, for the factions. I'm just saying it a bit sad that our discussions have come to that.
We should be talking about the wondrous Harpies instead...

My biggest problem with the harpies is that they isn't as good looking as the ghosts, but I have a theory on that. I'm only talking about the artwork, But my belief is that in game the harpies will actually be hotter then the ghost. (If you look at the ghost in the H6 web site, you'll quickly come to the same conclusion...)

Anyway, units isn't the only worthy topic of discussion. Markers have feelings too (actually they don't). But I would much rather ask for the opinion  of the good people of this forum on the Shipyard's design in the latest screenshot.

Do you think the decoration has been overdone? What effect will the big designs have on the size of the map, the scaling and building-unit size analogies? With adventure map objects being so big, I think we can assume that maps will look even smaller. And what with the movement points then? Will it look like the Hero will seemingly not cover as much distance in his turn as in previous games? I do not mind it so much, I like it that it looks good in fact. But what are your thoughts?

It's interesting that the Ghoul and Sentinel have these circles, but the orcs and Juggernaut don't.

What could it be that the Ghoul is Guarding..

The scenery looks breathtaking. The deep abbeys and the light make a great atmosphere.

But I can't help my self not to think that the map seems kind of empty

Todays screenshot is kinda good, but really theres not much we can guess about the game itself :S The enviroment, lighting, and the casm is really good looking.

The thing that the  ghoul is guarding may be some kind of minor artefact, a tome, or a Rubic's Cube (it would be pretty epic if Blackhole would implement it into the game as it is hungarian as well )

Conclusion: "Screenshot of the Day" is only to decrease the loudness of the community's sound of dissapointness. Until we really get some real game mechanics, spells, unit details, or let's say the date of the beta there's really not much we can talk about

EDIT: I'm not sure, but if the ground under the Ravager is cracked, and filled with lava because there is a demon, it is really COOL

Hey guys and gals,
I have to point to something.
Imagine for a moment that someone from Black Hole or Ubisoft are sneaking in the forums and that particular someone is reading what you are discussing. And then gives feedback to his colleagues. What will be that feedback - everybody is complaining about everything, they are not liking the game up to this moment. What kind of emotional fuel we are giving to these guys and why we expect after that from them to create a jewel? It is like saying to an artist during the creation process, this sucks, why are you doing this, I dont like the shades in that corner of the picture, I dont like the color over there... Dont kill the enthusiasm with mind-spam. I know that your mind is over-active and demanding, most of you have been educated in this way, but have some thrust and focus on what you like and not on some stupid details.

Personally I know that the game will be cool and better than H5.

The biggest complaint since August 2010 is that there is almost nothing to complain about. Or praise. So if some touchy Ubisoft employee gets offended, they should know that they are getting a very proper treatment from us. But don't worry, the people working in the companies of this size have thicker skin than you think and are perfectly aware that there will ALWAYS be complaints.
By the way the petty discussions about every single pixel officially provided to us are a direct result of the lack of better things to discuss. I fully agree that they are tedious jabber most of the time, but it's not like we know something about the game itself and thus something worth a real discussion.
@Elvin, once again we are counting on you guys to do what the publisher's marketing department should do.

I saw a small blue thingy near Ravenger/Juggernaut. What is that? Looks like a mushroom or some kind of blue toad (maybe the ambient or critter for eye candy that they mentioned at early announcement of the game)??

Great image. And it's good to see that we can tell that that creature is a juggernaut upg. without having to zoom-in.

But I'm wondering what is that blue thing next to juggernaut upg.

Maybe, but I think if that is the case it should be more defined. Cracs and lava is ok, but to really have the same power of vision as the circle around the ghoul maybe the lava should erupt from the ground some times, or somethink

With all the stuff that has been removed from the game, I fear maps will be terribly empty - worse than in H5

Yeah I've mentioned this the past few months.  The maps look beautiful, but if you take out the graphics of every screenshot I've seen so far you end up with almost nothing.  

The question has been asked, and no answer has been given yet:  With so many resources/mines removed, what is going to populate the map?  Besides the all-in-one dwelling, the lumber/rocks, what else is there?

Creatures to fight, generic quests (not custom quest, that generate a task in the moment you enter them, populate a monster somewhere on the map or a neutral hero, or a task for resources etc), more treasure banks. In the way H6 is set it will be far far away from the most interesting and populated maps in H4, where we had altars, shrines, many treasyre banks, resources, dwellings etc. Even H3 was not so rich on things to gather as H4. With the point skill system in H6 I am afraid that for the sake of balance the free skill points will be banished.

I must agree that the maps look empty but it doesn't bother me that much. The only thing that does is that I actually don't see any screenshots of a new Heroes. I only see screenshots from Heroes V with new creatures, towns, boats and better water graphics.

Don't judge only on base of what you see. Wait till you have the chance to try it out. The size of the maps and its objects might surpries us. I also think that they are rather empty for now, but we know to little.

Give us more.
Number of map objects. are there any new typs, like Arenas from MaM? where you can fight a random enemy for experienc and gold.

Now you mention it, with elimination of Dragons as unit's tier, I wonder if we ever got Dragon Utopia? I mean if there is one, what will we face, 5 Boss-level Dragon?

I don't worry too much about the reduction of Resource type. I mean it only 4 adventure map objects compare to new ones such as Control point that might come with various possibilities. If something to worry about reduction of resource type, it will be how it will affect the overall gameplay.

I mean see for yourself:

I think most of the objects will make a return. The number of adventure map objects reduction due to the resource type reduction and new tier system is minor. Well, unless they really eliminate most of them.

That's really something to deal with, as the number of mines taken out, there will be much less creeps u need to kill, so u will get less xp. The implementation of control points may be something that can take the role of the missing creeps. Those control points can be guarded by neutral creeps as well.
