One of Xhane's secret move

I'm trying to read it, but it's too hard

"Harmless Assault
target stack's attacks will inflict maximum damage"

It's really difficult to understand due to quality. Maybe that's why this video don't have an HD quality

There are a few hints if you pay close attention to what happens, some things are not mentioned directly For instance.. See what happens when the priestess gets morale towards the end of the video.

Gotta love the attack hero animation.

Share with us these hints.....can only see that Morale gives the stack a double action....but possibly also fills up the hero ability bar (guardian angel)....

about the portals: I first had the thought of actual physical portals instead of a spell when I saw the town conversion cinematics in the Igromir video. Does anyone remember that it involved a portal near the town? I always wondered what's up with that. If the portal in the cinematics indeed belongs to the town, it means it could probably be built anywhere in the AoC. When the spoke about AoC they did mention that it controls more than just mines and dwellings, so it could also include town portals. That would make the enemy unable to sneak through a portal into your other castles, unless he owns all the respective Castles/AoC. I could be wrong, though
Oh man, I love this week! So many stuff unfold! I'm much more enthusiastic about this game now

Gimme moooooore neeeeeews!!

Town Portals aren't actual, physical portals (monoliths) at this stage - just a spell. Sure adds a faster pace to the game though from what I've seen.

The hints, and I have a theory on them... seem to imply a DOWNSIDE we haven't noticed yet...
Like:
Maybe it's not really a DOUBLE action as much as it looks.

A few other tidbits I noticed, is that the iniative bar grays out the turns coming in the next round of combat, either as a turn marker, or implying that iniative has not yet fully been calculated yet for that round.

Few other things are a bit off, like the Ghoul critting, I think this video contains a lot of interesting hints and at Elvin's advice I'm rewatching it a few times with a more in depth look, because this video is not a simple little thing at all.

Also I think our "debate" is over now, seeing as in the last round, we mostly seem to be in agreement.

Love how good Morale is displayed before acting; allows us to plan ahead much more effectively

I'm guessing morale is still determined by a percentage chance though? Still kinda random if so.

Same thing with critical strike... also determined by a percentage chance derived from the hero's skills perhaps?

I think I can cope with such a level of randomness. Combined with the more controlled hero development and everything it should strike quite a nice balance between controlled strategy and slightly random awesomeness.

Aha!

Notice that when a stack gets Morale, it's second action's movement points is reduced (almost halved)!

Also notice that on each stack they have positive effects (marked in blue above them) and negative effects (marked in red below them)...

Hmmmmm......Inter....esting!

It couldn't be that getting good morale allows a unit to act twice but skip its next turn right?

I had some help, I noticed a lot of things but without your hint that we should be looking at the video in more detail, this might not have gone as smoothly.

regardless yes, it seems morale procs half or reduced movement, I'm thinking also reduced damage.

As for the ghoul, do you think it has innate luck? there's no hero controlling those creatures, something has to be giving it luck.
OR some/all creatures have at least SOME luck.

The gamespot article by the way mentions "flame hurling succubi" maybe they aren't as melee as we speculated.

Good, combined neutral armies return.

Edit:
Question, does the skeleton actually attacks two times like hunter in H5 or is it just a single attack with the damage distributed equally in the animation?

I realize that creatures now have animation when you hit defend. Sisters form a light barrier when you click defend, Praetorian adopt a defensive posture.

The different models of Might and Magic Heroes rock!

I especially like the Magic heroes for Haven, Inferno and Stronghold and the Might Necropolis hero.

All the designs are great, though some could be better. But the truth is, that they were never better than this.

But I was let down to know what I had suspected all along. That there won't be any other war machines in H6 other than the catapults. That's one more classic feature of the series unjustly cut out. And along with it, the Blacksmith too, I suppose. No Magic Towers, no Blacksmith, even fewer buildings for towns.

Another thing I've been wondering is why the Lich doesn't use any spells? Is it because they haven't added spells for them in this build or the AI hasn't been programmed to use spells or abilities?

Edit: I noticed that creatures don't just adopt standard straight facing position now, i.e. they maintain their facing position after attack. Don't know why it took me so long to notice this lol, I should have realized it since Igromir.

I'm not sure if it's actually "good luck" or if it's the ghoul's ability "Rage against the living" that increases it's damage by 30%..

This is a long shot but what if morale proc chance is fixed amount, and morale stat instead affects the potency of 2nd action instead.

Nice video.
And agree that it's nice that the moral bonus is triggered before the act. Makes planning easier.
I got to say I really love the Vampire's and the Skeleton's animations.

And Omg did you hear the soundtrack? AWESOME!
