I feel a bit concetned about the number of town structures. (Economic part will by the down fall of this game)

Plus the Monolith is put in the group of the boost buildings.
My suggestion about the buildings (1st group):
Armosmith - gives Might Defence
Arena - choice between Might Atack/Defence
Crystal of Power - gives Magic Atack
Crystal Of Relevation - ?
Monolith - ?
Stable - gives more movement on the adventure map

In town we have: 7 dwellings, 4 unique structures (include Town Portal), Fort-Citadel-Castle, Town hall - City hall - Capitol, Ressurection place = 18 buildings already! and it's not the end)))

It looks like the dwellings are upgraded...rather then being 7 different ones. Maybe there are only 3 dwellings (1 core, 1 elite and 1 champion)....wouldn´t like that though.

What's the deal with the resurrection place? I heard that the Necros have a special building that can resurrect heroes for free. I assume you have to buy one in order to resurrect fallen heroes. Does this mean you will always get to re-recruit heroes that die (provided you have the building), as opposed to in previous heroes games, where if a hero died you have to wait for the hero to appear in the tavern?

Regarding the Dwellings:
Have you people forgotten that growth works differently in Heroes VI? You get a fixed number of creaturegrowth for core, elite and champion units to spend as you see fit. Therefor a dwelling would boost the growth of the entire tier. Say that a town produces 50 core units each week, then capturing another core dwelling would make that 50 towngrowth + x dwelling growth.

I have an idea about the Monolith. According the description of Budha's statue. Budha is guarded by 7 heads naga from the elementals. We have magic schools based on the elementals. Then I may suppose that the Monolith could be a building which gives Magic defence.

Does that mean that all units at a tier are supposed to be pretty much equal in power per unit? For example, 1 skeleton = 1 ghoul = 1 ghost in terms of utility and power? That would seem like a very difficult balancing act. I assumed each creature would have a separate pool. I guess I'll have to go re-read the FAQ's.

edit: I've been searching through the FAQ thread for the thing about separate dwellings in a town for each creature and the thing about all creatures in a tier being bought with the same pool points. I assume you mean if you get 50 core creatures per week, you can buy any combination of ghouls, skeletons, and ghosts up to 50. Anyone have a link?

I'm kinda confused on the creature dwellings artwork from the official site...

Why do they show the same building having three phases?

This can be either good or bad.
Good is that even after you build the upgraded creature dwelling, you still can upgrade it once again for some other reason.
Bad is there is only one creature dwelling per town, and its three phases show what kind of creatures does it spawn: Core, Elite, Champion.

Still is better than the buildings in heroes 5, where you couldn't know if the building allowed you to buy tier 4, 5, 6 or tier 7 creatures (or a combination of these creatures).

Also, I think this time external dwellings will give less creatures than in previous games.

Remember, you have to upgrade a building to upgrade creatures. So, if these buildings were the ones we have in town, we had to have at least 6 upgrades for buildings.

For me those are or external dwellings or are the buildings we will see in the towns in adventures map (the website said we could see the special buildings in the adventure map, so probably this "creature building" will allow us to see if the town has dwellings for core, elite or even champion units.

So, it's the bad version then?

Well... What can I say? I would rather we would have no town screens at all.

These are going to be the absolute worst town screens to ever be in a Heroes game.

Such a bummer...

EDIT: Hmm, I hope they are the external dwellings. I mean... 2D Town Screens on Window Mode only, with no magic guilds, no blacksmith, only four unique buildings each (and if i got it right, you can't build all four of them), and now only one creature dwelling? Man, that's just bad... I really, really hope that they have seven different creature dwellings and their upgrades. Not that this would save them from me calling them the worst town screens, anyway...

It does make sense if you think about that there were no town screens in the beginning, only the model we see on the map.

And there could not fit seven different creature dwellings.

So back then, there ought to be only one, I suppose, then they stick to that plan even when they came up with these... town windows.

I don't see how it indicates this - town screens are a essentially a detail, an important one, but still a detail and can be left for when all the other work is done.

It has been repeatedly states we will have 2D, animated town screens similar in nature to those of HIII and HIV.

We don't know what buildings are in the town other then creature dwellings and the 4 unique structures other then the town portal structure and Hall of Judgement.

Don't judge something we barely know about, we've not even had a screenshot of them, just little snippets of info we've patchworked together.

I'm not saying they will be amazing, I'm saying we should reserve judgement untill we actually have seen or read something substantial.
I also am fearing that towns might suck, but I'm not going to jump to hasty conclusions.

That's exactly what I worry about. To them, the Town Screen is an aesthetic detail.

You see, the models of towns on the adventure map were large enough only for a handful of buildings, which you can upgrade.

So, when we complained about no town screens in the game, they just thought to provide with the artwork that superficially make up the town screen, without ever occuring to them that now they have the space to add more buildings.

Why should they do that anyway? They have already planned out how Town plans would work. Just throw in an image and call it a town screen to keep us happy, and that's end of story.

So what I'm trying to say is, Town Buildings haven't changed since they added the Town Screens. They remain the same and as before, we'll be able to see them all on the adventure map's town model.

Well, just how many buildings do you think these adventure map models could fit?

It's a very possible theory and for me, the worst case scenario.

The town models on the map may be meant to be iconic, rather than an indication of all the buildings in the town. For example, in the Haven town all of the buildings around the castle look the same. I doubt this will be the case on the town screen.
