I just wish they hadn't devoted an entire week to rearrangements.
How do you know they devoted the "entire" week? We are just in the second day of the week But yes, I hope the old ones don't dominate the game's musics. And so far, Sanctuary theme is my favourite. And its a new one

In all respect to the music, which is beutifull, I must express my displeasure. Is all the music in Heroes VI going to by a remade copy of something that we have already seen in prewies games? First the compounded Campaign Theme from Heroes III and now this.
Whit all respects to mister Romero and King, this is the lamest thing I have seen so far.
For one I think that In these days An original piece of music is not a plus, but a must.
Another point is that I disliked 3D0's reusing of music in several games (like COMAM) and I am not going to approve it now when it is under Ubiss control.
And for last, this music fits well into Heroes II whit it's hand drawn and fairytale graphics, but not to the art style of Heroes VI.
If they wanted to honer Heroes II at the ocassion of the 25 B-day of MaM, they should have done something more creative and fitting.

First of all, Rob and Paul were asked to do those remixes. Secondly H6 has plenty of original music.

I understand that these ideas were not from there heads, both of them are to creative to do such a thing, it seams more sad to me for them.
But this doesn't change any points of my concern!
The grass theme is one of the most common (together with the battle and town themes) using a remixed version of an prewius theme is a very bad decision.
I Can not approve reusing music, it is just not in my nature. And this particular one just doesn't even fit in the game setting
Can you imagine how Irritating this music will become for some people? I Still play Heroes II, more often than any other Heroes. And the thought that I hear the same music when I switch games is frightening.
Also from all the Iconic things in Heroes II why this theme? Could they just use the Golden Goose? Or If it has to be music why not the Winter theme?
Edit:
And also, If they have wast amounghts of original music why post two remakes two days in a row? That is one bad marketing! If they posted one old and one new, it wouldn't stand out so much

Umm... The Heroes II graphics is less fairy-tale than the Heroes VI one.
And yes, Paul and Rob are doing what they are told to do, it's not like they can't invent new music. We've seen (heard) a lot of different themes between Heroes I and Heroes V.

I am stumped, Golden Guess doesn't ring any bells. Link please? I see your concern but frankly I don't see why it is so unfitting for H6. I rather like it.. Not quite the same feel either.

While it will be great to hear today's track over and over again in H6(Did I mention yet that I totally love the idea of a few remixes?<3), I've played much too much H2 to be able to associate it with H6. Also, I think the original is just a wee bit better, but as I already mentioned, I'm kind of biased. At least I will once again be able to identify the terrain just by listening to its assigned music .
Now, if only they could "remix"(/rethink the approach to) another iconic part...*wink wink, nudge nudge*

Golden Goose: brings in an income of 10,000 gold per turn
She was one of the Ultimate artifacts, and was present only in Heroes II. I don't mean that something should have the same effect, but she could be present as a form of a better Sack of gold.
@Zenofex
Sorry but I have to disagree at this point. Heroes VI is a fantastic setting but very distant from heroes I-II fairytale setting.

"This week we will hear some tracks from Heroes VI that are remixes of iconic themes from the Might & Magic and Heroes series."
I think they're holding on to the new themes so they can remain a surprise(And remember, we already got some of those, via Romero).
EDIT:

Yay! I approve of the idea of celebrating in this fashion!

Stronghold animations are nice. All the flying units so far (griffin, kirin, harpy) have virtually the same lucky attack but it does look cool.
Jaguar warrior looks really good. Only on the final two slashes it seems he's leaning back and slashing too high. I think he'd strike over the head of a small unit and he looks slightly off balance too. Minor complaint though, I'm happy with these animations overall.

Sorry for double post. I just heard the H2 grasslands music remix. It sounds amazing. Normally I'd prefer original music too, but the new music is noticeably recorded/encoded much better than the H2 track. I enjoyed this one. I will look forward to hearing some brand new music as well (obv. not this week but soon).
