Damn, I read that "British and intelligent" for some reason. Every officer and gentlebull should split the opponent's head with dignity and in a manner worthy of the name of the well-bred and civilized person that he is.

Heroes 1 - Warlocks ruled
Heroes 2 - Warlocks ruled
Heroes 3 - What's that ? Ohh yeah Warlocks were probably the best faction ever created in a homm game (swamp and rampart were nice too)
Heroes 4 - somebody missed something there (globally speaking)
Heroes 5 - Xcuse my French but WT-SNOW was that all about ? bunch of whip and cream girls running around with knives and big ears, wretchedly assassinating Dungeon
Heroes 6 - You guys want a purpley faction now ? they all looked girlish to me more monsters please, mythological and cool if possible, we had enough fails for one game... already

Which is exactly why I like the Minotaurs of Dragonlance. Ruthlessly imperialistic, militaristic and machiavellian.

Not sure if this was covered before, so I'm sorry if I'm rehashing a previous topic of discussion.

I pray this is just a temporary feature, but please tell me this isn't how they plan on handling things in the final release version.

What is the deal with having to create heroes just so you can play as them in Multiplayer? This is just flat out STUPID.

We would have to create every single hero in the game just to be able to play as them under this method. What happened to choosing your faction, choosing from the list of faction's heroes and then your bonus (i.e. resources, gold, or artifact)? You know, like in every other Heroes game before this.

The H6 heroes are random celebs taken from google image search.
I guess they don't consider campaign-less heroes to be that important to the series.

Those troglodytes aren't from d&d, those troglodytes look like pale lizardmen, not like fish-people like in homm games.

Also how about a dark elf town without dark elves? That is my wish.

The idea of troglodytes as fantasy creatures is from D&D.

And to the discussion about H3 dungeon vs H5 dungeon:
I liked H3 dungeon more, but mostly just because its style looked better.

All in all I also say, that both were not good, the H3 dungeon was just a bunch of creatures thrown together and H5 had too many dark elves. They just have to reduce the number of dark elves and put in more other beasts to make a good dungeon(and please no pink hydra and no SM) .

All hail to the 4 pages long flamewar of Nightty and Unicornblood.I know I forbid myself to read Nightty's posts and I know why.

But back to the topic
So the rusians dug up every model of the beta to spoil the surprise to us.

I'm kind of sad how the faceless came out, (I'm not ging to hide how much I like Ledroits CA) but still I love them
The Lamya dragon is a rare ocassion in which I will stand to Nightty. It looks like someone took to much inspiration from You Gi Oh.
Raelag and Cate look nice. Especially Cate's model looks very similar to the HVToE campaign dark elves

I do have to say they look better then the WH inspired ones. I like when a game has a Unique touch to it.
I also like the fact, that Blackhole comes a little more closer to ledroits original design whit the black dragons. Link one Link two

You must be kidding me. Look at castle - humans from lowest footmen to mighty champions, the progression feels obvious, also celestials. Feels organized and fitting. Necropolis, from grunts to 'commanders' like Liches and Death Knights.

Dungeon, a bunch of creatures put together without any theme. I don't see them even cooperating, there's nothing that glues them together, no race, no "commanders". Also, medusas underground? harpies? dragons? wth?

You need to look at the enirety of the faction, not only its lineup.
Backstory is also important.

Besides, dungeon inhabitants are not known for their cooperation.
Quote:
Warlocks and Overlords build dungeon towns to serve as bases to wage their campaign for wealth and power. Some creatures are attracted as allies, while other Dungeon creatures are in thrall to their masters.

So the keywords here are 'wealth' and 'power', which makes sense as wealth attracts power. Dungeon has powerful but expensive creatures.

The Dungeon Overlords of Nighon (and by extension their creatures) battle amongst themselves, both openly and secretly, but will set aside their petty squabbles to ward of intruders.

And after the event known as the Reckoning, Dungeon turned into Asylum, a haven for chaos.

As powerful as every other castle - has strong points in lineup, has weak points. Damage per week for instance is among the lowest of all towns.

And I would say the whole "dungeon attracts mighty creatures and the rest are thralls" is just a nonsense to cover the fact this town is a mish-mash or random creatures. But hey, the fanboys will accept everything.

Stop trying, I don't like this town, just live with it. I'm not questioning your ways or the fact that you like it, it's your business, mine's mine.
